@@christye81 haha I know right.. and in my opinion they are way more kinda leftfield than Pink Floyd. But I’ll gues it’s nowadays way ‘easier’ to be more experimental with modern computers, synthesizers etc..

its hard to explain in words how unbelievely awesome it was to hear Chicago live

I never had one but as a kid I went to the library and they had some - I listened to operas with headphones as I was singing in an opera choir at the time that was of interest to me. Such a magical experience - empty old library and just me and Toska/Boheme/Turandot..
I had no idea what I was getting into with such a weird and wonderful intro track. Turns out I got myself into an incredible album.
Pretty much describes Alt J. The first 2 albums along with this one are perfect imo. 3rd album is also amazing imo 🤣

Really into this song. I love all Alt-J songs but this one hits me because I used to have cola addiction. At first I thought they were joking until I literal waked up in the middle of the night for one sip and when I tried to leave it I had symptoms of abstinence.

I always drive out to a good spot and put on Alt-J and just experience it. Take it all in, the songs, the environment. This is going onto the drive now.

Perfect intro to the album, and I love the imagery of drinking an entire swimming pool of Coca-Cola in this. I still find it funny how this somewhat sounds like it's about a cocaine addiction when it's just fully about an addiction to Coca-Cola

When I initially heard this song, I was pulled in by the guitar because of the contrast between that, the retro coca-cola ad, and the watery vibe of the first verse.
