Definitely. It comes from the french group of rapper NTM, and their DJ (DJ Cutkiller) who misheard (on purpose ?) the sample "That's the sound of the police" from KRS-One in the 90's, changing it into "Assassin de la police". It became a cult classic in France and i'm sure Alt-J are aware of that, being British.

When you're a New Zealander singing this song:
*eem oh ween*
I don't know if this has been asked elsewhere, but do these songs thematically connect with fitzpleasure? the imagery of some murder in a common seems consistent throughout.
It's about the same location - Southampton Common, where the two incidents are imagined to take place.
@@alkarenu4418 Awesome, thanks Alka ;)
"Do you love Tomato?" "Do you love Tomato?" I heard it and now I can't unhear it.... 7:59
Damn now I can't either
@@pavithranthilakanathan3137 lmao!

This song is delicious. And I finally figured out he’s spelling COMMON
Seeing in Philadelphia next April 13 which happens to be my birthday…. I’ve been waiting for this. I’m going alone and idgaf lol…. Yesssssss
This is addictive.
I cant say "beautiful" is an adjective that I often use, but this song qualifies.
Hahahahaah, "that's the sound of the police, wawuwawu".

Nique la police
What an amazing trip
I think i`ll put this on a loop.....or do we not have the science yet that can just hook it to my veins.... ??
🤯👍
I wish I knew about this song while I was having one of the many bad trips years ago. Even more good trips, I had. By legal standards im insane many times over. But I know better, I've been crazy long before I took psychedelics.
*_Silent knife, unholy knife ; I've fallen for the black outside my window_*
5:23 Le petit "assassin de la police" nice. Where did you get that? lol
Après l'écoute d'un bon gros rap

Who also hears "assassin de la police" on 5'24'' ?!
definitly ! NTM power (french rap band).
This song is sooo memorizing 😍😍😍💞💞
