I liked the video. Just dislike the situation that made this video possible. Sucks when someone else causes this much damage. Glad Joseph is alright and the car at least stayed on its wheels and might have a chance to survive. Y’all go get em in Cochran!!

You should google Freddie Carpenter at the Wild West Shootout back in February. He had a TERRIFYING wreck that destroyed his car. He walked away and raced the next night. The safety built into modern race cars is amazing

Again, if you will build a simple jig, for your a arms, you can slid those in a jig to check their straitness. Very easy to build very easy to check.

Hopefully hitting the way you did with wheels first helped enough to keep the frame from twisting, alot of small parts getting replaced but much better then replacing the motor & chassis
Wow what a big mess of parts you have that was on big ass hit you did but you are safe at home and god was with you all and keep you all safe at the race tracks and on the road to the race tracks you all be at the next 2 weeks i know it was not fun that you all have to do to the super late but that is racing we all know about it it is 90% luck 10% timing god speed to you all boys over the next 2 weeks

Invest in some decent cargo straps guys... those skinny Walmart deals will get you in trouble with the DOT in any state. Plus they are not safe. You need something with a rated WLL (working load limit) to be legal. Knock 'em dead at Earl's Place.

Unbelievable that people actually pay for that bent up sheet metal. But we did have a lady in our area that bent up a bunch of metal and called it art. The first time I saw it at the community college I thought the hurricane had blown some duct work off the roof.
Like they say on the West Coast it may be bent but it’s not broken

that car could have upwards of 10k of damage its so they can race and afford the super late model and provide us content

I think the other parts bending is actually a good sign... I don’t think they gave out to the max, which is a sign the chassis is okay... sure made a bad sounding *clang* though. I assume that was the driveshaft....
Which, I bet kinda saved the trans, because when the rear axle tried to come forward, rather than transferring the bend force through the shaft to the trans, it just snapped... I bet that can be refurbished too.

jon mckennedy took a brand new asphalt tour type mod 2 the icebreaker in thompson in april when they left the car was junk,there was nothing good on it after the race wknd.u guys were lucky it could have been much worse.

Agreed even though a lot of parts broke and bent which dissipated a lot of the energy from the impact there were still a lot of forces being transmitted to the chassis
Johnathan - When Joseph hit the inside wall, what was the liquid that flew by the camera? Was that fuel?
Water that run down the track and collected next to the inside wall from the rain delay. Hit a puddle basically.
Have have Joseph sign it and Sell the rim and tire together like u sell the doors and quarters

This looks like a déjà vu , , did we have this situation before , and you for got to take all of the parts and peace’s like fans and carburetors and spacers or some , you better make a check list on the wall and make sure everything goes and everyone checks it off and makes sure all of you make your mark on the list that you QC Ed all parts and extra parts for the 100, at Eldora , nice 👍, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍BigAl.
