After you’ve imported the .xps model rig into your blender, then go into the Shader Editor. Then select the materials you want to set the shader nodes for rendering. Each part of the model will have a material. For example, the eyes will have a material, the hair will have a material. Each material will have corresponding shader nodes that determine how the image texture will be uv unwrapped or applied to your polygon model. Example, the eyes will have a set up of Texture Coordinate node >Mapping node>Diffuse Image Texture node> Principled BSDF shader node> Material Output node. The “>” means link. It’s how blender knows how to do the proper set up and how to apply texture appearance to an otherwise bland solid polygon 3D model rig. Sometimes one part of the model will have more than 1 material. The eyes could have the eyeball material, the eye shadow material & the eye reflection material. All of these can be applied together to make the eyes look realistic. Usually, most of the character .xps models ripped from games already have all the shading nodes set up correctly to all the corresponding parts of the model. Shirt texture will go to the shirt. Pants texture will go to the pants part of the model. But the eyes and hair would get tricky. As they would have multiply or transaparent aspects that requires you to make some adjustments yourself to the prelinked nodes set up. You’d have to adjust the transparent settings yourself to get the eyes and hair to show up correctly for rendering in blender. Hope that helps.

Greetings Round Table Studios, Do you have any advice or recommendations on any auto rigging programs, scripts, plugins to only assign controllers to the joints of an already skinned fbx model with bones in maya? I also import/export Xna Lara models from xps, using Script to import .mesh and xps files into 3ds max (3ds max 2014 and below to not get bugs of Jaw mouth skinning getting messed up ) and then export fbx to maya I know mixamo does autorig, but let's say we only need controllers attached to bones on body. I thought if we use mixamo, it will probably get rid of all the face skinning and face bones that is already included in the Xna lara rigs exported as fbx. I tried re rigging one character with creating ik chain and fk legs and arms but duplicating the bones end up as a mess and bugs when using constrains to reattach to main skeleton, so since I am not very good at rigging, was seeing if there were autorigs alternatives that only attached controllers. I may have to end up only using Human Ik afterall, but the only problem is that you can not save Hik poses in pose library unlike normal rigs. Either way , just searching some more info, If you know any other info, greatly appreciate it. And thank you very much for your videos and tuts.
Hello Arlington, to be honest, I wish I knew of a script to do that as well. I too attempted to rig the fbx bones myself to bypass the whole process but I was unsuccessful as I have very limited rigging knowledge so currently I use Mixamo for background characters and have a rigging partner who does the main characters. Humanik is probably the way to go right now until more research can be done but most Mixamo users I guess just use the program to pose and render. The UA-cam channel "lkmnqwe" sort of animates with Mixamo rigs but it looks like he takes poses, renders and then takes another pose, renders and rinse and repeat which is truly impressive if you have the patience. I'm sorry that I didn't have more information. Thank you for liking the channel. I hope to see you around some more!
Round Table Studios oh thanks so much for your reply, Really appreciate it. Yeah I think I will go with that method for now and just orient , point constrain control curves on areas I need like the poly hair and face curves for now until I get better with troubleshooting bugs Heh heh. In the texture areas, you have to toggle blackface culling and maybe mess around either the settings there too to get the textures to display properly
