Erm, not to be a dick but how did that Lifepod in the opening seconds of the video crash land at that angle?
Did it drill through the cliff?
There a chance you could make the HUD look more like how it does in the original?
Plus, I think you should move the gas giant to around to the right side of the ring when you look at it from that vista scene at the end.

Looks sick but why is the assault rifle replaced with the battle rifle kinda strange
This looks like CE's level design in 3's game engine with 2's anniversary graphics. Very well done. Introduces a lot of later weapons kind of like SPv3 but I'm glad you refrained from putting Brutes in the 1st game, it makes their introduction even better in the 2nd game. I would be extremely impressed if you allowed players to explore every bit of scenery you show off in the final cutscene at the end.
CE was not this Linear on halo
@@robertogurrola7465 At the beginning of the level Halo in CE it was quite linear but still open, but I think this level on Halo Reborn will open up with that environment you see in the cutscene

4:25 I havent heard that old school halo music since I played CE as a kid and it brought back so many memories. Makes you realize how far modern halo has strayed from its roots.

I love the music, but my god when they recreated some of songs for infinite, some people were really pissed about being "unoriginal"

Hearing Cortana's lines at the beginning "covenant ship inbound" gives me the chills. The feeling of happiness and sadness at the same time. Halo was my childhood.

I though the same thing! I really like how it started out with more “closed in” area with cliff walls and such and then to reveal the ring and open-ness.
The thing with infinite is that almost everything is open, there’s no like “arenas” or closed in parts - you see that a lot in halo 1-3.

Didn't care for much of the video, especially the placement of the HUD. But that outro was something special and really captured faithfully the vibes of CE more than any 343i Halo game, dare I say even some of Bungie's games.

Small initial criticism, I'd prefer the shield/health display on the top of the screen, it really helped me feel like I was looking through the visor

This is obviously just a demo build. The hud won't be this when it launches.
With that into consideration, they might make it an option to have it like the demo or like you described. Best of both worlds.

@Alvaro Rivilla Casado this is a fan mod, not an official developer project. People are impressed because it looks like a good CE soft remake, and while regular CE is still fun to play, adding some new toys and some polish may add to the experience.
Wow we are witnessing a shift in game development history. As the big developers became more and more money focused publisher, we the players are rising up against by building and sharing our own games. What a time to live!
That is not the shift. Modders have been having their way with games, especially halo games, for nearly 2 decades. You are either too young to have seen that, or you have no experience with custom edition and other games with proper mod tools (like doom, duk3d, quake, half life 1 and 2, Bethesda games, etc.)
There is no shift. This has been happening since the 90s. Corporations have been greedy for centuries too.

This is the Halo CE remake that I've always dreamt of. A reimagining of the original levels with new level design, new encounters, new weapons, and overhauled graphics. I'm hyped

Did Black Mesa change the levels? If not, I'd say Kashiiera's remake is a bit closer to that idea. Hers is just Halo: CE remade with Halo 3 assets.
@@Spumoon Black Mesa massively overhauled the level design especially in the Xen stages in order to modernize them.
Kashierra's levels are just ports of CE's level architecture.

Incredible. Finally a project that understands the fundamentals of what Halo should feel like. This preview has blown me away, the passion for the games that you guys have is there for all to see. I can't wait to watch this develop into something memorable and amazing.

Crying, that music will never fail to make me shed tears of longing for adventure, and nostalgia for the good times I had when I first played Halo.
You absolutely captured what made halo so great back then. Please see this through. I want to play it with my brother.
Fresh yet familiar. This is all I wanted from the franchise after Reach. The minimal HUD is great. Love that health is visible, though I think it would be a little more readable were it a separate thinner bar right below the shields. The armor is beautiful, both the model and the shiny metallic materials. I initially struggled to tell if it was a mod or a fan game in a modern engine, which is a testament to how well the 15-year-old Halo 3 engine has held up, as well as your ability to play to its strengths.
I actually loved how the health bar was seamlessly underneath the shields, if you look carefully when he lost health and his shield recovered, you can see the health bar recovering underneath it
That cutscene at the end with the birds and foreshadowing the level was epic

I genuinely loved this, I hope that you guys add in slot of the minute details too to bolster the realism, like when the pelican comes in the force of the engines kicking up dust and leaves and things, or the warthog tires kicking up dirt and mud when their heavy frames driving on the grass, I live for that stuff

Looks awesome! I wish some of the classic moments and locations are retained, like looking at the ring after coming out of the escape pod instead of it being completely obscured by the cloud. Also the first bridge after getting out of the pod. Nostalgia is the reason I'll play it afterall. Best of luck!

This is the most beautiful recreation of any Halo ce map I’ve ever seen. It’s so god damn beautiful. I wanna cry just at the sight of the Forerunner structure. What you have accomplished is something very special from a technical standpoint, and is also special in the hearts of many halo fans. I think I’m gonna have to save an image of the ending shot so I can make it my desktop background.

This looks amazing! I can’t wait to play this.
My only single complaint is when you exit the drop pod, do you really want the player to be looking at a big rock wall? That reveal should be more open and vast, IMO, and I think that’s what works about it in the original game.
Im really excited about the new auto turret, that’s a cool idea. It would be cool to set it down overlooking an encampment, before you’re spotted, loop around without being seen, and engage the enemies on the opposite side to force enemies to find cover from both angles. Very cool!!
They move the "big reveal" for the end of the video so it looks like a intended decision.
This looks really constricted, nothing like Halo CE's terrain.

The health and energy recharge is what I want to see in Halo. Still be able to have health you can SEE to know how close to death you are. But also not instantly recharging your health along side your shields. Loooove that balance.

The interactive environment it's back and the final cinematic with that soundtrack, i loved it.
Those massive snowy mountains add sooo much to the scenery and scale the ring. Really really love the vibe and the passion of this. I hope that who ever is behind this completes it. Big task. But the halo community would be forever grateful. I'd pay for this for sure!

This coming out during Halo’s darkest times has brought a huge spark of hope that there are people out there who is willing to make something way greater than what 343 can make. Fantastic job with this preview, and better yet this feels and sounds like Halo.

Essentially, 343 doesn’t have (probably never will) the same soul / passion as Bungie when they created halo ce, 2, 3 and reach.
Everything after 4 and beyond (asides from MCC) has basically been a downward slope of disappointment and incredible incompetence.
Halo Infinite isn’t quite dead but I feel that no one really cares anymore. Still good but it honestly feels like destiny 2 year 1. LACKING AND WITHOUT PURPOSE
Halo 5 was the series at its worst, infinite has good gameplay, just no content to keep the gameplay interesting
The fans will take over the franchise. It’s going to happen.
One word, PHENOMENAL! This looks absolutely amazing, I cannot wait to play this and experience the campaigns i've played 100 times in a whole new imagining that doesn't seem to be lazily done. It looks like a wonderful experience, but I hope the enormous chasm with an artificial bridge structure in the beginning of this level is found somewhere else for the player to cross, as it was one of the first moments where you really got a grasp on the fact that you were not on a planet, but on a giant piece of megascale engineering.
Absolutely incredible, with a simple 6 minutes, you will have created an event which will be remembered for years to come. I cannot praise this enough!

@@WootNyllon Hey man! I'll try and explain the best I can, but I would really recommend going into the teams discord to get more in depth explanations. Essentially, the team is recreating the first 3 halo games inside of Halo 3s engine, making the trilogy into one massive campaign. They will be remaking missions, tweaking all the mechanics like the weapons and friendly A.I., along with remaking the maps from the ground up. It is an extremely ambitious project and this trailer is simply a showcase of what is possible in their scope. Like I said earlier, I'd recommend joining the discord to get more info! I think every question under the sun has been asked there, haha. Hope you have a good day!

Couple of notes:
-The terrain isn't purple enough (CE's terrain had this purple hue that gave it such an alien feeling)
-This feels like you're using voice lines from later games, where Chief had become the "Demon"
-Where is the health bar? CE and Reach (since it fell earlier in the timeline) had health bars that you had to keep track of.
-The elites weren't dodging enough. CE had elites dipping and dodging fire, and were actually really difficult to hit sometimes. 90% of the elites you have here were just sitting there taking the shots until they died.
I think the point was to show off gameplay changes
It looks like the natural climb up to what a post-Halo 3 telling of the trilogy would and should look like. Amazing work on how it ties so well.

Guys...this looks incredible. The graphics, the use of music, the weapons and assets used from multiple games that all fit together perfectly, the original location instead of just being a remake of an already existing game, it all looks beautiful.

The hud needs work. I wouldnt stray too far from CE in terms of where everything needs to be positioned, the health bar should be on the top or bottom of the center of the screen. Having it on the left there distracts from whats in front of you.
You also need to add the motion sensor.

This looks great dude. The nostalgia hit me hard, feelings of playing for the 1st time in 2004. I liked infinites campaign but it lacked that feeling to me. Simple things like the text when you picked up a new weapon.
I love that you keep track of ammo on the gun, this looks and feels like the Halo we all know and love but with a lot of modern care added to it.
Good eye. Yeah we really want to minimize the amount of HUD we show. Very similar to Destiny's dynamic UI.
Beautiful i love that you stuck very true to the series , many projects add entirely new weapons and enemy variants that never fit in game. This looks like something id ,100% playthrough

Yo! This is damn good. Don’t know what your plans are for this as I’ve only just come across this now but I think it be pretty cool if maybe after the player has finished the campaign as chief they can replay it as their own spartan.
