    Rusty my friend, you are a man of immense patience. My first thought of this project was "NO F'N WAY!!" But there it is in presentable form. That would be a welcome addition to any WW2 museum. There's no telling how many P38s, Lugers, or 1911s that are in the ground over in Europe in similar shape as the one shown here.

      He's electro plating a softer metal on top. So it can be sanded away easily

    As with the Tokarev, you made the same attempt to fill deep corrosion craters on steel by "carrying" metal by welding, at least in the major craters. This is truly commendable, you are the only gun restorer who works in this very unique way.

      You mean by restoring the same guns multiple times? Not even different one of the same model. Idk what he is doing with his videos. He combines like 3 guns in one video. He has done the same guns like 5 times for a lot of them. He just did the sturmgewer twice recently. And also the German machine twice. If don’t understand

    I don't think this is real. The sides of the handle look like wood or polymer, yet there are rust marks on it. if im wrong, lemme know.

    One of the best firearm restoration channels I know of, the best when it comes to editing. So happy to see actual restorations (even if the gun is useless like in this case), rather than those people who ruin the guns by painting them with gold paint and stupid stuff like that.

      Just a question how can you say this when all of the firearms are replicas. There not actual real firearms. They are deliberately rusted heavily. I fire ever firearm I restore in the video proving it’s real and authentic with the correct proof marks. “The kinzler bros” will be uploading an actual p-38 restore.

    Отличная работа. Но раз утраченную скобу на спусковом крючке делал- надо было и новую мушку изготовить. А то без неё как-то неполноценно выглядит. ИМХО.

      You wouldn’t consider firing it in that condition. The metal is far too weak to withstand the pressure. It would very likely blow apart if fired.

    I like how satisfying that, from the beginning, removing the rust and old materials attached to the guns is just fun to watch.
    Though, it was kinda sad and disappointing that you have to cut and scrapped the gun parts, just to remove them. I guess it really was an old gun, after all.

    There's no way you can possibly file by hand pieces of metal to such a degree of precision . It's done using machines in the first place and there's no room for error.

    В жизни б не подумал, что эту насквозь проржавевшую рухлядь, можно хоть как-то восстановить. Честно говоря я поражён. Результат, учитывая его первоначальное состояние просто великолепен.

      @@locomotivebreath9364... Реставрация это придание первоначального вида но не возможностей, тем более пистолету, пролежавшему в земле лет восемьдесят. Из старого оружия, если оно древнее, но не ржавое тоже опасно стрелять, в виду частичной потери свойств металла, а тут почти насквозь проржавевшее. Тут и пары раз стрлелять не получится, разлетится при первом же выстреле. И дай Бог, что бы не убило самого стрелка.

      Есть канал тут на Ютубе, "Backyard Ballistics" где автор восстанавливает оружие, и из него потом стреляет. И оно полноценно работает

    Nun ja der Mann hat sich viel Mühe dabei gegeben um das Gerät wieder einigermaßen herzurichten !
    Aber als alter erfahrener Sportschütze würde ich mit diesem Gerät keinen Schuss abgeben da mir das das Teil ganz schön um die Ohren fliegen könnte. 🤕
    Habe vor langer Zeit bei Militär die P38 bei Wache selbst getragen , natürlich in 1a Zustand.
