The best restoration video I've ever seen!! That gun was a lost cause and still you restored it so meticulously to make it functional again!! Hats off buddy! 👍
Rusty my friend, you are a man of immense patience. My first thought of this project was "NO F'N WAY!!" But there it is in presentable form. That would be a welcome addition to any WW2 museum. There's no telling how many P38s, Lugers, or 1911s that are in the ground over in Europe in similar shape as the one shown here.
Because he engineers the situation. Amazing coincidence he has tonnes of antique weapons that have been buried in the earth for just long enough to be cosmetically corroded, but never too long to be repaired,
Amazing skills, technical expertise, love to details, historical facts and anecdotes explained as you go, a special kind of humour - UA-cam at its best.
As with the Tokarev, you made the same attempt to fill deep corrosion craters on steel by "carrying" metal by welding, at least in the major craters. This is truly commendable, you are the only gun restorer who works in this very unique way.
You mean by restoring the same guns multiple times? Not even different one of the same model. Idk what he is doing with his videos. He combines like 3 guns in one video. He has done the same guns like 5 times for a lot of them. He just did the sturmgewer twice recently. And also the German machine twice. If don’t understand
That was amazing. I don’t understand how he has the patience to be able to ship out every little piece of rust and spend so much time on it. I was awesome.
One of the best firearm restoration channels I know of, the best when it comes to editing. So happy to see actual restorations (even if the gun is useless like in this case), rather than those people who ruin the guns by painting them with gold paint and stupid stuff like that.
Just a question how can you say this when all of the firearms are replicas. There not actual real firearms. They are deliberately rusted heavily. I fire ever firearm I restore in the video proving it’s real and authentic with the correct proof marks. “The kinzler bros” will be uploading an actual p-38 restore.
Dude/Sir/ Mr Fantastic.. you are good at what you do… Our Camp wants you to know’ we all think you are Great/ with A gift from God to be able to do what you do.. & ofcourse we Thankyou…😀
Отличная работа. Но раз утраченную скобу на спусковом крючке делал- надо было и новую мушку изготовить. А то без неё как-то неполноценно выглядит. ИМХО.
I like how satisfying that, from the beginning, removing the rust and old materials attached to the guns is just fun to watch. Though, it was kinda sad and disappointing that you have to cut and scrapped the gun parts, just to remove them. I guess it really was an old gun, after all.
There's no way you can possibly file by hand pieces of metal to such a degree of precision . It's done using machines in the first place and there's no room for error.
excellent restoration of a weapon . if I understand correctly, that weapon should have been produced towards the end of the war, in 1945....but we need to understand where it was found.
It may be that leaving pores is for a museum restoration and not for practical use, taking into account that there may be a lot of gas pressure in welded Inas, such as guides that have not been perfect?

But are you brave enough to fire it?
very impressive, how many hours of work, and could this gun ever fire a bullet or is it just a showpiece?
You wouldn’t consider firing it in that condition. The metal is far too weak to withstand the pressure. It would very likely blow apart if fired.
