Hello, I want to buy a T7 / but I have doubts about the size of the frame, I measure 1.74 meters (5´, 9). Which one would you recommend ?
Thank you
My T7 came with Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires, which I today converted to tubeless, something I have never before done. I needed only valve stems and sealant, no tape, and was even able to seat the tire beads with just a hand pump. The 2 pops were very satisfying indeed. If I can do this, almost anyone can.
You’re so lucky you got those tires. The alternative tires are VERY problematic. I’m jealous of you! Haha!
Thrilled about this review. I've been waiting for months for someone I know to review the T7, especially in SE Louisiana. Cool stuff.
Yessir! Just waiting for it to dry up a bit so I can do a riding review! Thanks bro!
When my T7 came, the only problem I had was the hub end cap sticking to the packaging material.
Awesome job Bro! Your content is on point and I’m not the only one to notice!
Thanks so much! I would argue, however, that you are the most consistent to notice...and as always, that means a ton!
Nice man!! Bikes looking good and awesome build video. Can't wait to see how it rides on the trails!
Thanks dude! Yeah same! It’s literally been sitting here a week now. Constant rain!!
I actually just ordered this bike
Congrats! I’m sure you’ll be pleased with it. 🙌
Thanks! Should be shipping this week and seems like a great bike! But can’t wait for the video! I’ll be watching.
I really appreciate that! Overall, I’m thrilled to have this. Bikes Online / Polygon has a bright future I believe.
Same lul
@@Skankhunt98745 what size did you order ? Says they won't be in stock till the 12th for a large
Very well done. So much better than other "reviews" that are mostly someone repeating information that is on the product webpage.
I eagerly await my T7 and hope it arrives with the tubeless-ready Schwalbe tires described on the product webpage.
Thank you! I figured anybody can just read the spec sheet online so I wanted to talk more on the nitty gritty.
I hope you get the schwalbe tires too, bc I can guarantee you’ll have an easier time getting them to convert tubeless. I made a second attempt with the flow snaps and still to no avail. But when I build it they’ll be changed out.
@@JaredRMorgan, thanks again for this video. My T7 arrived yesterday and looks great, with no noticeable finish blemishes, which I have read other buyers found.
Like your bike, mine's headset had no grease. Is this common? While that is an annoyance, it is hardly a dealbreaker considering the bike's price.
I have the Schwalbe Hans Dampf tires, but have not yet attempted the tubeless conversion.
I just got a used 2018 Giant Trance 2 and now, I'm seeing this. Awww man!!!
Nothing wrong with that! Still a great bike! 🤜🤛
One day I will have a new bike day with a badass bike like this. Sweet bike and happy new bike day!
Love that attitude! With that energy, I’m sure it will. Thanks so much. 🙌
Save your money for a better built and equipped bike. Sure the Polygon is ok, and it will get you riding, but is a Walmart bike compared to a Specialized, Ibis, Yetti, or Santa Cruz.
This was a great video! You made the bike better. Right out of the box! Awesome.
Thank you! I have a lot of experience as a mechanic so it rolls over nicely into these videos. Appreciate the kind words!
@@JaredRMorgan new sub!
Super rad of you! Thanks again!
New bike day!! I love the colors 🥰 jealous.
Thank you! Yeah it’s super cool! 😘
Looking forward to this one!
Thanks man! Likewise for yours!
That is a really good looking bike. Im curious to see how it performs. Nice job Jared.
Thanks for the kind words! I'll be reporting back with some riding review perspective as soon as soon as the local trails dry up. Steady rain right now. its unfortunate!
Awesome video Jared! Some great tips in there for anyone building their own T7. We really appreciate you pointing out any issues you had in the build too, it can only help us and our customers as we improve our product/build experience in the future. With that being said we know you will love the ride of the Siskiu T7, it's super capable and great value!
Stoked to be able to bring attention to this awesome bike. Again, thanks so much for the partnership as well as the bike. I look forward to the future for all of us!
Hi Bikes Online, description to T7 says "Upgrade from riding with tubes by adding tubeless tape, valves, and sealant to take your riding to the next level." As Jared confirmed, they are coming already pre-taped which makes above statement confusing. Super excited while waiting for my T7 to arrive. Keep up great job!
Wow! SUPER IMPRESSED!
Thank you!
I received and assembled my new Siskiu T7 two weeks ago. It arrived 1 week early and no issue with the pedals. Head tube bearings were minimally greased which I took care of. I did not see the white warranty registration card and as of now, have not registered the bike with Polygon. The dropper post actuates up and down nicely but the valve is very tough to operate with the thumb switch. The girls are having trouble actuating the dropper. I was able to go tubeless with the Vee Flow Snap tires. Other than that, I am glad to own the T7. A fellow single tracker rode it and within 2 days ordered a Polygon of her own (D7). I will assemble that for her and will watch for the warranty card.
Right on! Glad you had better luck with the tires. I tried them again a second time and had 0 luck, but I’m not too worried. As for the dropper lever I recommend the PNW loam bc it will drastically reduce that resistance. Thanks for watching! Would be awesome if your friend bought her bike through my link to help support my channel! 👍
@@JaredRMorgan Thanks for the quick reply and by the way I loved your review, clean, honest and no BS. Unfortunately she ordered the bike three days ago so I wasn’t able to give you the credit. You will get the next one. I did install a PNW dropper switch which I think helped.
Great video!!
Thank you, Paul! Really appreciate that!
Nice! Bike looks sweet.
Thanks, man! I agree it's quite the looker!
That paint job is pretty sick
I agree! So much so that I’ve already wrapped it in clear wrap to minimize its exposure to damage.
I just got mine today and it came with the vee tires and I had no troubles with going tubeless.
Yeah they’re 50/50. You lucked out! Some people can get them to mount right up, other ones won’t do it for anything. Quality control seems to be really spotty on those tires.
I have it and it is great, honestly!
That’s great to hear!
I’m about to order one!
That would be incredible! Please consider using my special link to help the channel!
And of course CONGRATS!
They have some really good colors on there bikes
Totally agree!
Just got mine TODAY after Fed Ex had the bike just sitting in their sort facility for over 2 weeks. Bad thing is I'm away on business so I can't put it together YET. Based on the Pics the Wife sent, the box was somewhat beat up, was open, but looks like everything is there. I do get home just in time to put it together to meet my Bro in Law in NC to do some sick trails in Pisgah. First thing I am going to do is set it up Tubeless. Thankfully it came with the Schwalbe Tires and not the Vee Snaps which I heard some people got. For the money the components look solid. I have always liked Shimano drivetrains, they are much better than the SX SRAMS which come on this budget range a bike. I've heard the fork is just so so, but this isn't a $4K plus bike. Anyways great review. Thanks.
You’re going to be stoked on it! Make sure to watch my trail review, bc the bike really impressed me.
Nice Review!
Thanks Nick! The focus here was to make sure new buyers know what to expect when building their bike. I find every bike has nuances out of the package.
Owesome Bike..with afordable prize👍
Big time! Thanks for watching!
Siskiu T7 owner here, mine comes with a small paint chip on top tube, seems their packaging is not that good. But mine come with schwalbe tires, which is easy going tubeless with a floor pump. I upgraded a fox36 fork, grip and saddle, I’m thinking maybe a dropper lever next. Overall it’s a very nice bike, looking forward your review and upgrades.
I find their packaging to be superior to most brands, honestly. I open quite a few bikes! You might’ve just been unlucky with the chip.
You did however get lucky with the tires! The alternate tires are a real bummer. Nice choice on the mods! I’m super excited to get into all of that with mine. Hoping to review it stock very very soon.
good stuff!
I appreciate it. 🤜🤛
Appreciate the honest review and pointing out the issues despite the fact that you got it for free and the fact that bikes online may not like it. For what it’s worth, I set up one of the Flow Snaps on my Rift Zone tubeless without issue. Maybe it’s a bad rim tape job from the factory? They are some slow rollers though. You’ll want to at least replace the rear with something faster.
Yeah both Bikes Online and I want the reviews to be real. It allows them to get better, and viewers prefer real. The issue is the diameter of the flow snaps bead. They’re simply not snug enough for these rims. I could use my fingers as tire levers to get them off. There’s no way I could get them to seat tubeless unless maybe I ran a kushcore to push the beads up the bead ramp.
I’m not stressing it, because these tires aren’t staying long term. Just for a review or two.
@@JaredRMorgan Use some soap. I had the same problem. Just soap up the edges of the tires and they will snap on the bead.
@@caseybechard9562 starting fluid! works for trucks, works for bikes. Boom!
@@caseybechard9562 what kind of soap do you use?
I jst bought this bike today as a gift I hope they like
Sounds like an amazing gift! I know I'd be stoked!
The t7 is such a rad bike. We might have to trade for a lap or 2 next trip out 😬.
Fine by me! Lol.
Mine just shipped, im praying i get the schwalbes. I didnt even know they shipped with these vee snaps at all
Fingers are crossed for you! It does make a huge difference both in weight, in going tubeless, and in trail performance.
interesting that you had quite a few issues on a bike that Bikes-Online/Polygon was expecting you to review - you'd think they go the extra mile to ensure you would have no issues. Will be interesting to see if others have the same initial set-up issues...or if these are indeed uncommon. Have fun riding!
I know what you mean, but Im pretty sure my bike was just another one out of the factory without any special avenues. Probably a good thing, because it provides a very real video for the consumer to gain an understanding from.
I anticipate it to be a pretty awesome bike, and I have a lot of plans for it. Just gotta work through some kinks like with anything.
We sent the bike to Jared the same as we would any customer, we don't like to play favorites and appreciate any feedback to make our product better :)
@@bikesonline258 actually giving you props for not quadruple checking the box which was sent. All issues were minor...and im sure can be expected with any company. I do love the look of that Polygon.
Thank you for mentioning the dry headset. Just went out to check mine and it was the same, and I've already ridden it for 2 weeks! Probably gonna bring it in to the shop soon cause that makes me worried about other areas of the bike....did you by chance check the bottom bracket as well?
Not a problem! I have not checked the bottom bracket, because in my build plans I was going to do a new crankset and I was going to check the BB at that time. I will mention that I did double check the torque on the bolts of my crank to make sure they were tight, but they were just fine.
My headset was completely dry as well. I thought it was strange because everything else was tightened to spec beautifully.
The T7 is a legitimate $3000 bike by any other brand name being sold at less than $2000. Best deal to be found on a legit trail bike with the latest geometry.
That’s right! Polygon can bring you more for less bc they make their own frames. No middleman mouths to feed.
I got the T8 about 2 months ago, found metal shavings in the seat post when assembling it, someone at Polygon or Bikesonline tried to enlarge the seat tube diameter as I'm guessing it didn't meet spec. All they managed to do was ovalize the seat tube and put undue stress on the seat post :( After many back and forth, Polygon finally accepted a warranty claim for the frame, so now I get to wait 3-6 months for a new front triangle. Makes me wish I would have bought locally.
Good luck, hope your experience it better Jared.
Wow! That’s a crazy story if I’ve ever heard one. Super sorry to hear about that one, and I didn’t find anything abnormal about my seattube when assembling. I’ll have to double check it next time I break the bike down.
I hope they get it resolved sooner than later, and I appreciate your kind wishes! In the meantime if I were you, I’d just ride the thing!
@@JaredRMorgan Oh I am definitely riding it, liking it so far, still trying to get used to it as this is my first full suspension after decades of hardtails only :)
Excited to see what you think of the T7! Cheers -
I’m excited to ride mine! Just need the rain to chill out down here. It’s giving our trails a hard time.
Indeed, dealing with tech support for warranty issues is IMPOSSIBLE!
A note on your tubliss attempt. I got mine to seal fine but they leak at the rim seam. Hopefully the sealant will fix this.
I just went with better tires and problem was solved. Lol. Vee tire has a long way to go.
@@JaredRMorgan I actually like the tires grip wise, its nice to drift sometimes. I also used starting fluid and a lighter to get the beads to seat. FIRE! works every time.
Did you put tape on the wheels to convert them to tubeless? Great video
It comes with the tape installed!
Maybe i can make an appearance in the first ride video 😆 lets gooooo (weather permitting of course)
It’s possible! 🤣🤙
That’s my ride :)
Could it be the Clint Rhodes from the polygon USA group? Haha! Thanks for stopping by, man.
@@JaredRMorgan depends…. Has that guy been a jerk to you? If so, that’s definitely not me ;)
Not at all, lol. I just see you a lot in the comments sections.
I am a new trail rider and my T7 will be here Tuesday from bikes online. As someone who is very new to the game do you recommend I assemble it and take to an actual bike shop to get a quick tune up?
If you assemble it, being new as you are, I do recommend letting a local bike shop comb through your work. Or you could just let them build it entirely. I did a year run as a builder in a bike shop so I was more prepared than the average to build my T7 properly. I also have a lot of speciality tools.
Hey man! Im planning on getting the t7. I'm 5'6 will size small fit me or should i go with medium 27.5 or 29er. TIA cheers!
I’d get the medium 29er personally. I got my wife on a medium 29er D7 and she’s 5’6”….they recommend 27.5 but the 29er is fine.
Reason I say that, is almost all brands are moving towards 29er being the standard…so I’d try and get used to it if I were you. Hope this helps!
Would be sick if you could order your bike through my special link in the video description as it really helps my channel. Congrats!
Try using soapy water around the edges of the tires. They will bead much easier
That’s not the problem. The inner diameter of the bead is too large and it lets air right through.
Getting this bike for my gf for xmas ..
She’s gonna be stoked!!!
Messed up and lost that end cap, do you know of anywhere to purchase a new one? Mine came with the VEE Tire Co Entity tires
You’ll have to contact shimano more than likely since they manufacture the hubs.
@@JaredRMorgan Yeah, went to my LBS and they are keeping an eye out for me because they are on back order. However, in the meantime they made a pretty good temporary fix for me for anyone else that may have done the same. Used about a 1/2" spacer (maybe 1/2" diameter too) and about 3 shims to keep the wheel away from the fork. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the reply
Hi Jared, are rims coming pre-taped with tubeless tape? Thanks
They sure are!
@@JaredRMorgan Great! Waiting for my T7 to arrive and preparing to have everything ready for arrival. Going to swap Deore derailleur with XT and kmc chain with SLX to have advantage of SGS+ shifting under load. Thanks for giving tip on brakes, as I was kinda skeptical on that part, but will leave them for now.
Sick bike mate. Am considering it would you recommend?
Thank you! At this price, this bike is hard to beat. Super capable and reliable spec. I definitely would recommend it.

@@JaredRMorgan aweosme man. How is the bike mechanically?
My xc aluminum training bike has the same suspension drivetrain but better brakes and better tires but it cost 2400 instead of this which seems to be a good value
Definitely a good value!
hey! do you know of any good budget dropper posts? (for my polygon siskiu d5?
Sure do! If you look in my past videos I did an entire budget build of a D5. You should check that one out! I left links in the description of that video to all of the mods.
alrighy then! i will go check that out and thx :)
Nice new bike. I am considering one of this Siskiu's but am torn between which size to purchase. I kind of sit right at the border of the Medium, or the Large. I am 5'-10" / 178cm. I see you have a medium. How tall are you, and how does it feel? Thx.
Actually mine is a large! They totally mislabeled it. If I were you, however I’d probably recommend the medium. I always suggest that if you’re between sizes you should go down. There are ways to make small bikes feel bigger, but you can never make a bike that’s too big feel smaller.
@@JaredRMorgan Nice reply, I am 6´1", I am also wondering if I should buy the Large or XL size, cause Iam on the border of what the brand recomends.... But I´ve seen good recommendations like you, to better go smaller if you are undecided.
Hey man! I have recently been looking to get a polygon t7 but i just want some help with what bike i should get. I don’t want to spend anything over $3000, can you please share what bike you would recommend?
Pls respond
I think the T7 is the perfect route to go. The reason I say that is, it has a perfectly balanced spec and it’ll allow you to have some money left over to buy upgrades where you see fit. No bike is perfect out of the box, but this one is darn close…and at 1800, you’ll be able to have 1200 left over to either hold on to or use to pic out some upgrades to make it suit your riding style. Hope this helps!
Please remember to use my link in the description when shopping polygon because it greatly helps this channel. Thanks!
@@JaredRMorgan thank you so much!!! I hope you have a brilliant day
I just got this bike Saturday, I had/have issues with the dropper post. There seems to be too much slack in the cable (ie. I have to push the lever really hard and way past a reasonable range of motion). Any idea what I did wrong or any suggestions to correct?
Normally when the dropper is acting wonky it’s best to check everything. I’d pull the post out, check both ends of the cable housing for messed up cable ferrules, check the housing for any kinks, once all of that looks clear, just take out any remaining slack in the cable up by the lever and you should be good to go. You do that just by letting out the little screw that clamps down on the cable, pulling the cable, and then tightening it back down.
@@JaredRMorgan thanks, I thought that might be the case but I'm new to this and the instructions were "limited". After seeing your videos on the D5, I ordered this bike last month and am looking forward to hitting Bogue Chitto soon!
Oh you’re local! That’s exciting! Might see you on the trails, then. Thanks for watching my content!
@@JaredRMorgan that would be cool 😎! I followed your advice and the dropper post operates much smoother now. Also gave you and the channel a shout out to Bikes Online customer service! Thanks again!
I had same issue with my T7. I appropriately shortened and lubed the cable and then made sure I removed all the slack before tightening the gripper bolt. That seemed to help a little. The dropper valve is just tough to operate in my opinion. I have had 3 previous droppers that I installed on other bikes.
What do u think of the giant fathom
I really like the new Fathom. The geo update was much needed! My only concern is I've heard very mixed reviews of Giant's in house Crest 34 fork...So if I were you, I'd consider that aspect. Otherwise, it seems spot on!
PLZ Help were can I find this End Caps I am missing my plz help I try bikes online & nothing is for my t7 plz held
The caps for the wheel? It’s a shimano part, so I’d contact them.
Is bikesonline an reliable site to buy?
Certainly! Even when you preorder, the bikes normally come 3 weeks earlier than quoted. In that regard, Bikes Online does an amazing job. I've seen competitor brands quote a date and not fulfill until 6 months later.
Hey! I got the dropper post that you recommended to me but I ended up gibing my d5 to my younger brother and my dad ordered a better bike for me because the d5 was too small haha. But my dad will not tell me what bike it is so I guess that its a mystery? I hope that either the bike comes with a dropper post or I will get another dropper.lol
Well that’s really cool of your dad! You’ll have to let me know what you end up getting!
Alrighty then! I will not be home when it comes in so when my family and I come back from vacation I will tell you! And if it does not come put together already, maybe you can do a video on how to do it if you have the bike.
I didn't catch if you said if this was a 27.5 or a 29?
Even though mine has a M sticker, it's actually a Large. Which means 29.
Nice bike! What is the final weight of the build?
When I weighed it out the box and after I added frame protection, I weighed it as 38lbs which is heavy. I changed out the tubes, bc the factory tubes are absolutely overkill. Should’ve shaved off a pound just with this alone.
My scale also might have been inaccurate. I got a new one from park tool today, so I’ll try to see what I get.
Updated weight: I’ve added a fidlock bottle, frame protection, and a tube strap. I’ve also switched the tires with lighter tubes. I’m at 37lb and 10oz. Quite heavy. I’ll push to get it below 34 in the upcoming weeks.
My T7 weighs 35.5 lbs, tubeless with full frame wrap protection and bottle cage. The Vee Flow Snap tires are nearly 3 lbs each!!!
End cap, I just received my T7 and did not see the end cap when I assembled mine?
they tend to get stuck to the plastic retainer, but if not then it’s probably still attached to your hub!
@@JaredRMorganThanks. Did your thru axle for the front wheel only tighten from one side? I was worried that I was missing something on the other side.
That is correct! Just one side.
Would u recommend a size M on a 178 - 179 cm height?
Probably. Normally when someone is between sizes, I recommend going with the lower size.
@@JaredRMorgan i see! Yea was having second thoughts on getting a large cause im between 178-179 cm tall but have short inseam and reach
Definitely medium then!
How does Polygon handle warranty claims if the frame cracks?
Specifically from the U.S.
Good question. You file it through bikes online and they take care of it all.
Just make sure you register your bike for warranty when you receive it.
@@JaredRMorgan Thanks a lot!
The best point in this bike is the price... I would like to buy the 2022 model..... What di you think about the price??
That is definitely one of the best aspects! In my opinion it is well worth the asking price. If you decide to buy one, it would be awesome if you could use the link in my description to order as it will earn my channel a small commission at no extra cost to you! 👍

I own a T7 and let me just say the issues you experienced are not rare with Polygon. Everyone that I speak to that owns one has had to correct numerous issues with each bike, myself included. I think the bike is a good value but the quality control is ridiculous. If Bikesonline and Polygon really want to build a customer base, they've got to get some consistency in the build quality of these bikes. Warped rims, missing bolts and washers, scratches, dents, and dry headsets are unacceptable!
There’s a serious push for that, and it’ll be interesting to see how the quality control continues to progress as time presses on. I have faith they’ll get it straightened out as they are not completely oblivious to the problems. Sorry you had to face some bugs yourself. It’s funny bc I also no some folks whose bikes were flawless.
Got my bike last month and they totally forgot the whole box with pedals and tools.
That’s a bummer, but truth is you’re not missing out on much. The trinkets are a nice touch, but I personally wouldn’t use those tools to build my bike anyway.
The biggest loss would be the pedals, but I’m assuming like most riders you’ve picked out your own to go on the bike.
Sorry to hear Andrew, if we haven't already sent it out, let me know and I'll get that organized for you asap.
@@bikesonline258 i got sent new pedals already from you guys so thank you for that. Kinda unfortunate on my first big bike purchase and missed a whole box of goodies

is it still a big box bike because it comes in a big box? Seriously.
I've always wondered the same thing....Don't all boxes come from big boxes?? lol.
@@JaredRMorgan Exactly, Like i've had this as a real question for so long, Even if you walk into walmart, buy a bike it doesn't come in a box at all, usually assembled, So is that still a big box bike? Anyways, Siick bike the T7 looks badass, Thanks for doing the video! Thumbs Up!
