McDonald's exists in tons of other countries but while I was in Korea I wanted to do a food review of as many different McDonald's sandwiches as I could to see what the differences were and how much I could possibly eat.
I don’t think McDonald’s will be happy with me after this video...

I totally understand that each nugget shape has a different flavor and I also love the boot ones!!!!
I mean it all comes down to how the shape affects the heat distribution. Most of the shapes have even heat distribution, but the boot has parts with high heat and parts with low heat because of poor distribution. The heat isnt something that affects heat as in temperature and warmth when you bite into it, but rather as in temperature and warmth while its cooked, so the heat itself shifts the flavor of the nugget a bit. I myself find it very good. The boot is based.

So i know this video is old but the reason they are called McNuggets is (Branding mostly, but also) becuase they have a very particular batter blend and I actually used to know a guy that worked for the company that makes the McNugget batter blend and knew the recipe (Unfortunately he passed this year, very nice guy his name was Laverne, Verne for short). Second fun fact, if you get golden nuggets it means the batter came from Cleveland and if you get dark nuggets the batter came from more than likely New York. Verne told me that when the company that makes the batter split and opened up shop in other states but the Cleveland team never gave the new teams the exact formula on how to get the batter to be white enough to turn golden when fried.

N. Sphinxis the reason to that is the folded chip gives you more flavor because once you bite it you get more seasoning
Markiplier the reason each nugget has a different “flavor” is because the chemical in the nuggets to let them be frozen and reheatable is because the chemical has an umami flavor so it makes the nuggets reheatable and “flavorful” but all nuggets are filled unevenly or have different coatings because of the chemical it gives it a different flavor circle being the least flavorful and boot being the most.

8:57 I actually did a school project on this and it is true. the bell shaped nuggets have a little more batter when compared to the ball shaped nugget, and has slightly more nugget-y flavor. The ball however, lacks the flavor and has very mild juices. The bone shaped nugget has a slightly fishy taste and the breading is slightly harder (not crispy hard) than the rest of the nuggets. Finally the boot shaped nugget is very fishy when compared to the rest of the nuggets and uses less spices in the breading. But the boot shaped nugget also has the most satisfying crunch of them all

In Italy (or everywhere) all pasta is made from the same wheat flour. So WHY do Italian chefs have dozens of different kinds and SHAPES of pasta? Because the texture and SHAPE of each kind of pasta affects how the sauce coats it, and HOW IT HITS YOUR TONGUE.
Yours might be an extreme example (maybe not), but the SHAPE of a food affects how it feels in your mouth and how it feels on your tongue --- and affects the TASTE.

Very true. This is because the local cuisine never requires baking. Chinese and Korean food are mostly stir-fried, fried, roasted and so on which only requires a really good stove. You guys should see the stove tech they've got in Asia.
I think only recently did China start really paying attention to toaster ovens because Japanese baking culinary videos are getting popular over there. But besides that they really don't think twice about ovens over there.

I didn't believe him when he was saying that the different shapes have different flavors, until he said that the boot tastes the best, and then I was instantly more convinced, cause the boot has always been decidedly my favorite.
