Hard to beat a Rock Chucker press! The Summit is just another option. The Summit can be more precise for bullet seating, and is also good if you need a smaller press or want to place a press away from the edge of your reloading bench top. Many folks run an RC for resizing, and a Summit for bullet seating.
I think I need one of these now too. I love all my RCBS stuff I have and they back it all no questions! It can't get better but, this press looks great too!
I just purchased one of these Summits and so far so good, I do have a question as to why some of these presses such as the one shown in this video have three screws securing the base on each side and others like the one I just bought have two?
I like the press. Design and functionality look great. If I go to your website there is no information available. A picture shows up under new products but if you click the link it does not take you to this new press.
I am planning on getting into reloading. I was ready to buy a RockChucker. With the introduction of the Summit I do not know. What are the advantages for each press?
I bought the Summit press, and I am very content with it. It is very different in many respects from the Rock Chucker. Die adjustments are very different.
@@harteverett ...Pretty much agree. Mine's "bullet-proof"...no intended pun! Lol!! Sure would like to at least try one out, 50tnds of each wheelgun caliber I own..
Just getting into reloading, bought all my buddies gear. His reloader is an old rcbs, before rock chucker and I want to upgrade this immediately. The rock chucker is just a beefier version of the one I have but the summit has some things I think are better engineered. What are your ideas. Thanks
Luther, thinking what you own by inheritance purchasing is the RCBS Junior press...A great unit; not quite as strong, massive as the RockChucker, which I have (mine's a 1972. Dies are older 1974 types, chrome-colored)...Lots a, lots a use out of all of them!! Good luck! Great hobby...very euphoric! And saves money in your shooting!!

I've been an avid revolver cartridge reloader since about 1973. My brother & I bought a used RCBS Rock Chucker single-stage press, used, plus an Ohaus powder scale, mounted/bolted it to an old bar table, mounted it on twin end tables, using loaded ammo and lead bullets as ballast. Has been in several locales. You all may not believe it, but have reloaded thousands of high-quality centerfire cartridges in calibers ranging fr. 38 Special up to 45 Colt!! The press, chagrinely, is not set up right now due to where I'm living in a small HUD apt. Saw this video of the RCBS Summit...want one real soon! My gunroom mgr, ex-Marine, firearms expert & reloader has one...He loves it!! Probably a $300 unit. Don't know if it re-primes (My RockChucker does), but I think I would like this rig. This was modeled, probably, after the old, passe, Hollywood Press fr. back in the 1950's. It had a similar mode of operation. The Summit has my vote!!
An adjustable wrench? Seriously, RCBS? I thought your point was to show that you've got the proper tool for the job. An adjustable wrench...cheap. Shame.
Rockchucker has been serving me well for about 40 years. I see no reason to change.

Do you have to reset your seating die from using it on my rock chucker or just install it and the depth of your bullet seating will be the same ?
Just ordered mine. Can't wait to try it out.
I have a Rockchucker, and don't really see a reason to change to the Summit.
So this is supposed to help w/ bullet runout? Doesn't look much better than what I already use..
OK... So how do you prime or de-prime?

Do Lee dies work on this press?

So technically you can't overcam? Can you prime on that press?
...That's what I'm inquiring about, folks..**
I broke mine where the the handle is at the 2 arms are fitted
Good job RCBS, keep our manufacturing here in the state!
Can this press not prime cases?
Hey Asher, it doesn't. Thanks
Please post on full30

I have one. Want to buy it?
It's an inverted Hollywood Senior
Carbide Die Jones, exactly correct...good pics in Elmer Keith's book, "SixGuns", fr. the 50's. Statedy that in an earlier comment. Great observation!
👍🙆😃😁‼️
very nice
a few months of use and it is broken already, the customer support of RCBS is virtually impossible to reach, my advice: do not buy this press
