    The first time I saw it during the reveal, thought it was ugly. Design grew on me and when I found out the tech behind it, I grew to like it more. Seeing it in person now, it’s not the prettiest thing on the road, but it does look cool and futuristic. Can’t wait to drive one.

    I've purchased a bunch of trucks. 2014 f150, 2016 Silverado High Country, 2019 Raptor, 2022 Raptor and now a Cyberbeast.
    Love the Cybertruck so far, and it does what I need better than anything I've owned before.
    Not only does it do the normal things great. This offers things nobody else has in one truck. 845 hp, great sound system, amazing steering, smooth ride, incredible tech features, fsd (soon), and the ability to keep the cabin cool in Houston is nice. Idoling a ice truck for too long is not good, but this chills all day. No oil changes, no belts, no starters and all the things I've has to worry about before. Especially with the new trucks that are made so you can't fix them at home. It's not like my 98 dually with bolt on parts.
    Just get in a go. Change wiper fluid and tires. Over the air updates.

    I've been on the list since late Nov 2019 for a dual motor. I also passed on the Foundation Series for same reasons. I liked your review and I've owned several pickups over the years. I did a demo drive last week, and it drives great. In addition to what you are talking about, I'm interested in it for the big battery for my remote mountain home. All I need is a universal wall connector and I would have an extra 10 powerwalls (have one now along with 6kW solar) worth of storage. More likely I'd use half the battery at most, but still one more thing that would sell me. I know I'll still have to wait a year to get mine, and in the meantime waiting to see what the new Model Y will yield... ride by wire/LFP batteries?

  • @LaOwlett
    @LaOwlett 26 днів тому

    Because EV's are so heavy, they need special tires that are also heavy. I would argue that unless you're specifically off roading - you shouldn't carry a spare at all times in an EV. You should have one in your garage, not reducing your battery 24/7. The Rivian has just improved slightly with their compressed spare and air compressor, but it only takes up slightly less space and still weighs more than a combustion vehicle's tire.
