There’s was a comment about Carly’s floor music being from the film “Austin Powers” with actor Michael Myers. Myers used the words “shagadelic” in the film. It was supposed to be a reference to AUSTIN POWERS. No more, no less.
The one commentator that made the "shagadelic" comment about 13-14 year old Carly Patterson is so gross. He's also very rude toward the Romanians. We get it, you're biased toward the Americans.
I had to search up what that word meant and I wanted to vomit. She's a 13 year old smh. And I agree that he was rude towards the Romanians, especially when they were doing bars. Like ok you can route for your country's athletes but there's no reason to be rude another country's athletes

Artistry is an interpretive concept, unique to each individual athlete. Why that’s a hard concept is beyond comprehension. She at least accomplished greatness in life. You have done nothing more than be a useless mouthpiece.
Ouch someone is offended lol. It's true artistry was reaaaal low and few and far between in gymnastics, in general though. Choppy arms and no rhythm to the music, or too fast and wobbly on beam with focus mostly on tumbling and not balance, makes routines choppy and stiff. I dance pointe and had a stint in gymnastics when I was younger, and the floor routines were always my favorite until they weren't anymore because they don't really dance anymore between the runs. There's a few Russian and Romanian girls who really did it nicely, and only like 5 or 6 American girls in the 10 year period of like 92 to 2002, very rare that it's a good entertaining, DIFFERENT routine besides the tumbling. EVERYONE did the whole sweeping arms and waving them around, but the movement is weird and to me, makes me uncomfortable to watch. But like Dom M when she did her routine in 96, or Jaycee Phelps in like 96 or 97 or 98, I can't remember, they had little beats and it was fun to watch, and there was rhythm. It's better nowadays too, but there was definitely a lag back in the early 2000s of good floor routines, and beam was rough too. Technical stuff, sure. But it's supposed to be pretty and nice to see the connections but most of the time it's like arms waving and choppy connections and not smooth and pleasant to look at. Dance is actually a big part of gymnastics, it's nice to see when it's applied.
Who woulda guessed Carly would actually be Olympic AA champ 3 yrs later! And Terin 2 Olympic silvers! Crazy this was 13 yrs ago!
Could you guys try to upload every other event you missed? Anyways, thank you for everything you uploaded so far.

Hollie Vise's scores are not on the gymn forum International Team Championship list for 2001
Wow! Carly was a Baby here!😄
Not to mention all the athletes were also distracted by being in beautiful, sunny Honolulu.
Sabina's vault score seems too low, should've been a 9.300 at least
An alternate comes in and out shines who was selected. Poor Terin!

There's a time and a place though, and that ain't it 😅 not when there's underage girls in little leotards running around
Black gymnast ashley miles simone biles jordan chiles gabby Douglas
You're missing a few from the 1980s and 1990s: Dianne Durham, Joyce Wilborn, Angela Denkins, Bety Okino, Dominique Dawes, Tasha Schwikert
Really? Americans talking about artistry with gymnasts like Carly Patterson in their team? 😒😒😒😒
exactly my point
