I created a nested scene for audio and recorded some gameplay, upon review of the footage i realized i picked up all the audio but none of the visual, however if i click on my main scene it records the visual but none of the audio (if i hit "start recording" on either scene it starts recording on both scenes, I can switch between them on the fly as OBS says its recording on both scenes) What gives?

Newer streamer, just out of curiosity, why not use the mic input for OBS rather than this option? Is there a benefit to making it a scene like that?

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm not sure why I wouldn't add a source and have a reference to it in multiple scenes? (Not saying it isn't better, genuinely trying to learn why it is). Also, how does this lead to the interactive stream things you mentioned like interacting with points/follows/subs?
