Honestly, you are the best thing to happen to UA-cam in the last 10 years. As a person who likes an objective and scientific point of view a lot of the time, I like how you take the data you've complied and make it easier for an average consumer to understand. Which is a gift a lot of scientist struggle to do. I applaud you and if you have a donation link, ill be more than happy to donate to your cause because you are that impressive.
I was coming to comment something similar. Sad that more people don’t care about this type of data, as im sure it was a lot of work to track and compile.
2 minutes in and I’m already feeling completely reassured about the accuracy of my fitness tracking with the Series 7 during workouts and throughout my day. Thank you for this video. All of my questions were answered
Auto Sleep has added many new features and interpretations. It would be great if you could review that again. I find the sleep reporting to be more accurate and useful than my Oura Gen 3. It would be great if you reviewed agin since it has been over a year. Thanks for all the great information on your channel.
Wow wow wow, I’m doing research on the Apple Watch 7 to see if I should upgrade from my series 3 and I stumble upon your channel and I am blown away. Started watching about the 7 and ended up watching idk how many other videos lol. Amazing stuff, as a fitness professional I now have a channel I can come to and look for reliable & non bias information. I am truly amazed please continue with the amazing work. You earn a fan today!! Thank you for all this!
I just found this channel. I watched a bunch of videos. You make really great content. Everything is well planned, understandable, and objective. I'm looking forward to watching more of your older videos, and seeing them in my subscription feed
Thanks again Rob for this great review!! Apple keeps proving optical heart rate sensors can be über accurate. As an androïd Huawei gt2 user, I'm curious to see how the gt3 works, as Huawei claims their new sensor is 96% accurate compared to a chest strap hrm.
Hey Rob, i would really appriciate if you make video about risks of wearing smartwatches 24/7. Does it causd cancer and how much raddiation does it emit. Thanks in advance!
Finally a more detailed review about apple watch 7’s health features! I have always wondered how accurate these are since I wanted one for my mother. Thanks!
I discovered your reviews and have been watching one video after the other. Very interesting data and a good way of presenting it! As a tip, I would however not show your home and work location.
Hi Peter, thanks! Thanks for the tip, it is a tricky one. I considered showing those locations or not. However, my work location can be found online. My home location is not super specific, and it would decrease the value of the review sometimes if I did not show it. Not sure yet if i'll change things over time, but since it is already out there I expect it is OK.
Ooooh! Nice new studio I’d love to see if there was an improvement over watch 6. Probably doable just by looking at your previous test results against these.

Apple watch 7 or Oura ring 3? Seems that Oura had better software for sleep and temperature measurement… but the Watch can do a lot more? Already have a Polar H10. Thanks!
Thank you very much! A fantastic review. I have a series 6 apple watch. I hope it performs very close to the series 7. For sleep tracking, I use the application Autosleep, which provides more insight into sleep patterns. As far as HRV, I use Polar 9 (very similar to Polar 10) and an iPhone application Elite HRV. In the first measurement, you receive a VALUE and a SCORE, depicting how balanced you are, and if you are ready for a harder training or should take it easy ! The value differs from application to application.
Fitbit Sense advance health or Apple watch 7 Mainly workout and SpO2 while sleeping which is better? already using Galaxy watch 3, fitbit Versa Kindly help😇
Impressive results and as usual a great review, thank you. It's intriguing that Samsung which has been making smartwatches for 8 years hasn't grasped the opportunity to hone their algorithms to the same extent.
Thanks for the, as always, awesome review. I'm getting to the conclusions that the ideal wearable recepy for me would be... 90% of my Garmin Fenix 6s, carefully mixed with the apple watch hr sensor/algorithm and maybe a frosting of Fitbit sleep tracking capabilities ... Maybe asking bit too much :D:D Cheers!!
I bought the Apple Watch Series 6 and it’s really impressive to have all those sensors in a so tiny device I’m learning things like my heart rate that seems to be a bit high sometimes but I don’t think it’s alarming (for several hours my heartbeat was approx. 100bpm) And when I took an ECG it say that I have a high heart rate… but it’s down now to 70-80bpm so that’s why I say I don’t think it’s alarming Anyway seeing your graphs that are really detailed I would like to know how you get all the data of the Watch and how you translate that into graphs like you show in your videos
Your reviews in terms of accuracy are amazing! It would be great if you could review some of the higher end Garmin devices like forerunner 945 LTE or anything recent with an elevate V4 sensor.
I also have problem with Garmin watches, the Fenix6 X wrist HR can not pick up sudden change, if you run suddenly, the wrist HR delay to pick up the current HR, this happens to many user, but the older FR 935 seems working much better in this case, Garmin ignore this problem, but I see in this channel many watches fail in HR during weightlifting, I’m thinking this is also because of HR suddenly changes?? I’m not sure, Apple Watch seems to be have better wrist HR accuracy, the problem of Apple Watch is battery life!
Having used a number of sleep trackers and now Apple Watch 7, I reached this conclusion. How much sleep is recorded depends on how I wear the watch. I normally sleep on my right side and wear my match on my left wrist. If I swap it to my right wrist, the amount of sleep and it’s quality apparently improves. Similarly if I keep the watch on the right side and sleep on the left, quantity and quality improve. This is perhaps not surprising as the data is based on movement and, for instance, sleeping on my right with the watch on the right restricts movement of that arm. I’m interested to know if anyone else has found the same.
So I got the series 6 Apple Watch just now after watching many of your videos. I’ve been having a high resting heart rate and I wanted the best I could afford. I was wondering, could you do a heart rate accuracy test with more hand movements such as running or rope skipping? I went for a run for the first time in months and my heart rate shot up to 210, pretty high for a 35 year old guy and I want to know how accurate that might be.
I wonder if the deviations and blips in the GPS signal could be explained by tall buildings in the immediate vicinity causing the signals to bounce around. It'd be interesting if you could get height data for the buildings along your route and see if the blips correlate to building height.
Can you do a SPO2 check while in sleep. My apple watch sometimes reports outlier numbers like 60 or 70 SpO2 for maybe one or two times when I am asleep. And No I do not have Sleep apnea. I want to see if I can rely on these measurements
Can you please consider discussing one feature when it comes to these sleep trackers, which is really important: it's a huge deal whether or not you have to manually activate the sleep mode, because forgetting to do this, for falling asleep (naps or extreme fatigue) can mean that functionally the device is just not as useful as it could be. Knowing whether one device automatically tracks sleep with zero user intervention is obviously a very important feature to know before purchasing. One other thing is being able to detect naps, which are also very important to track. Some devices are bad at this or don't do it at all. It would be helpful to know that. Thanks! Love the channel :)
Why there are few dot samples when comparing with other devices you've tested, such as the Garmin's. In those Garmins the cloud of dots is much more dense
Hi Rob, Many thanks for this great review. Love the Huawei health app and find the app with apple poor in term of information, do you recommend some applications good for walk, running, trekking and potentially cycling? Best
How would you compare the Apple series 7 to the whoop 4 as a general health monitoring device (sleep, daily activity and gym training). That includes the app, it's functionality and the algorithm. Great video. Quick question to the community here - I had AW Series 6 and now 7, and with both I experienced the same issue- in between my workouts the HR greys out and comes back to life sometimes after seconds or minutes. I tried wearing on left and right wrist, no change. I wear it snugged and the sensor is clean. I never had this issue with my Garmin Fenix 6. Do you guys also face this or is it just me? Thank you
