I'm so glad this wasn't a super cringy thing, made just to flaunt how much money he has, and so that people would say how amazing and wonderful he is for doing it.
Honestly, being Chris, I kinda knew it wouldn't be like that lol and you can just tell he's actually doing it for the right reasons.
So many people make videos like this, but they make such a huge show about it, and instead of focusing on the people they're doing it for, they just revel in the compliments and all the 'omg you're such a wonderful person for doing this!'
So it's such a relief to see this!
Kinda reminds me of a time I was at a Walmart with my son, who was 4 at the time. He was very well behaved the whole time, and had 2 little toys picked out. But after ringing up all the groceries, I only had enough to get one of the toys. So I had him pick which one he wanted, and promised to get him the other one next time. He was really good about it again (he's abit spoiled, but he's usually very well mannered in public)
So I paid and we left, as we got to the door, i heard someone yelling, so i turned around and the cashier called me back over. An elderly couple who was behind us in line had bought the second toy for him. It was just a super sweet moment. They said their grandkids were all grown and moved away, and I could just tell how happy it made them to make a little guy happy like that. And my son was super excited about it, and asked me if he could hug them.
Super long and irrelevant story lol

This is the best ever 💖
Coming home from hospital my daughter who loves your channel went through the roof when she just saw that you did this and wanted to go to you.. but she didn't realized, because of the operation stuff she had and is in between sleeping and healing, you are not over here but she really really wanted her jacket and go to the store you were.. She wanted to go!
I had to laugh so hard and loved her reaction just as much as it did hurt me to tell her that she first needed to get better..
I didn't bother to tell her that you don't even live remotely close, she just is too out of it..
But what you did this is truly fantastic and shows how generous you are... I sooo loved the reaction you gave my little girl, even just 1 day after beeing home with her after her operation..
But you make sure your family and you are safe for life, don't blow it for views although that is your income.. hmm.. Well, just be cautious and know that you have a little big fan out there that wanted to see you first after her operation 😊😎💖🤗
And thank you so much for your generosity! 👌😃

Well yeah for entertainment purposes. But historically speaking before theater and stage and whatever got involved, being a magician basically meant you were a scam artist, and alot of portrayals of magic on sitcoms and stuff of tv are usually cheesy or for something childish or comedic relief. I just think magicians just naturally ended up with a bad rep and thats kind of sad.

There's this magic shop in Singapore called Magic Castle Singapore (No relation to the Magic Castle in California). They have been providing magic lovers with tricks and props since 1995 and they are still open to this day. The service is great, they regularly stock every 3 days, they deliver fast (within a week!) and I still shop there to this day. Maybe you could give it a try if you are able to

This was very cool of you to do Chris and I really enjoyed watching it. I don't often comment on videos but I feel like this one never got the recognition it deserves. DB was my inspiration as well, but you lit the fire in me to actually pursue magic, so I just felt the need to let you know how much you're appreciated. Keep it up Chris!

If i could get to Canada I'd for sure check that shop out and get at least one deck of 1st playing cards. Ive been trying to find a deck but they are expensive on ebay. Maybe one day I'll get up north and check that shop out. You're a great person Chris. I love seeing people help their local community and small buisnesses. Much respect man. Hope you have a great thanksgiving.

Pure class, Chris. It's so good to see somebody giving back! With all that's going on right now you brought a smile to my face with the way you encourage the next generation. (If you did it now, with Covid-19 on the scene you'd probably get yourself arrested!!)
    Nicely done, sir!! 👍🇨🇦🇬🇧

Bit of a public forum to disclose this but it’s no bother to me, I’ve been struggling with mental health fairly recently and I got into card magic through watching your videos.
I would say magic gave me a way to focus my mind on learning something that can help boost my confidence but also gave me a way to add some control into my life.
To see you giving back to the community and being encouraging to a new generation of magicians is very commendable, keep it up Mr. Ramsay.

This is awesome! I’m from northern Indiana but the closest magic shop for me is on the north side of Chicago. The thing about magic shops I feel that the newer magic crowd misses is that if you hang out there and meet up with the other local magicians, you will learn a lot and jam a bit. Another thing I feel people are missing a lot lately is that books have the best magic information because to an extent modern magicians are lazier with the current learning tools we have at hand such as downloadable content. I still love visiting the magic shop and just seeing demos of tricks to buy plus there’s always that old guy that always is funny and has amazing advice.

This is what supporting your industry in a meaningful way is all about.
Promoting local magic shops and magicians.
Outstanding; (little bit jealous of the 6-year-old beginning magician).

More and more I enjoy each of your videos which just get better and better. You have a tremendously generous and good heart. I can only hope that at some time in your life, that good people in your life, join together and do for you what you have done for this store owner and the magic community at large. I have recently subscribed to a lot of very talented UA-cam magicians but none of them have your wonderful personality or demonstrate your dedication to the magic community in quite the same way as you. You are by far my favorite UA-camr and channel that I go to first every day as I am playing catch up to your many years of videos here that I missed due to not knowing about you till recently. Your definitely the kind of guy I would choose as a friend to hang out with and talk shop about magic and cardistry. I was lucky enough to find your 1st edition, and 3rd edition 1st cards on ebay yesterday and can't wait to get them in my hands so they can go right next to my new Knights deck and my favorite Cardistry deck, the Memento Mori's that you helped create. I can't believe I had only 1 deck of unopened standard Bicycle cards two weeks ago and now I have over 80 decks carefully chosen from all the card companies that you show off in your card collection videos. I will be picking up both versions of your V4's from your shop in the next week or so. Thanks for bringing some light into this world during a time when it is needed most .

I'm just now getting to watch this because I was at work all day on a grueling 14 hr shift but I'm so glad I took the time to watch this video. I'm not going to lie I almost didn't because I'm so exhausted and just wanted to go to bed but this just made my day. Pretty sure my comment is too late for Chris to see it but I wanted to say I love everything you do and things like this need to happen more. You are helping out so many people with you generosity. I didnt even win or get anything myself but this video alone just made my day. I will be thinking about this one for a while I know and I can't wait for something like this to happen again. Maybe next time it will happen somewhere closer to me so I can come visit you. Lol a man can dream. Haha that sounded creepy I'm done now. Thank you chris and much love man. Keep up the awesome work and spreading magic around the world!

I'll be dropping by and ask the staff for their advice to help me get started on learning some magic tricks.
Thanks for being a great guide and constantly reminding us to make the tricks our own, rather than plagiarizing other performers acts.
    Thanks Chris!

When I was a kid I was super into magic, I loved it so much. I spent a lot of time practicing and taking my illusions to my moms sports bar and performing for her customers. Your videos have made me want to start practicing again and start spending more time bringing simple joy to ppls day through these tricks. I would've loved to have ran into you at a shop, that would've inspired me so much as a kid. This is awesome man. Thanks for sparking my love of magic again and thanks for your Vids. Much love from the mile high city. -denver, co

my first job was in a theatre/dance/magic shop, mostly i was in charge of the halloween department but the magic department was my charge too. and it was a ghost town. that was already almost 10 years ago now. didn't have a single customer in the months i was there. got to the point where we closed up that area of the store. an empty magic store is sad and honestly a little creepy. you did a great thing!
