All very well explained. I'd heard about the G&G Optimum line. They look so beautiful. I cannot hope to afford shoes of this calibre, beauty and craftsman/craftswomanship (I guess a lot of the closers are female?). While I may never own a pair of G&G, I will never slate or criticise shoes of this quality - they are exquisite.

Very informative and detailed review, Justin! I’ve been eyeing the Optimum line for quite some time now. After I’ve dipped my toe some more in G&G’s MTO offerings (my very 1st pair should be finished in August) I may consider commissioning an Optimum line model in the future.

I have to agree G&G makes some exquisite shoes. The waist is just a work of art. Even their standard factory line is made with top notch quality. One day I might just fork over the dough for a bespoke pair, but for now I’m quite happy with my standard G&G MTOs. For everyone complaining about the Optimum price, these are worth every dollar.

Thx Justin, for always making sense. If one has the eye for outstanding artisanal work and the wallet to go with it, then there is little room for arguing about pricing. From my side, if I see such a pair on somebody feet, I will nod in respect.

A masterful line by G&G. I hope I can afford them one day. What saddens me is that we as a society now are not that into being properly dressed, well spoken and manners sometimes are taken as weakness or politically incorrect. Now a days anything and everything goes. What was a mark of a gentleman is now an acquired taste.

Finally I can buy a pair of G&G. Had hard time pulling the trigger on bespoke but then RTW will never fit me (I am a woman in EU size 35). Look forward to getting the Savile single monk.

Lange and Sôhne timepieces are comparable to Seiko, which will never happen in this lifetime!!! And yes, please keep the detailed review Le and exciting content coming, very enjoyable. If you haven’t already can you please do a review on Yeossal Shoes, I think you did an unboxing of some merchandise from them , but if you could review their shoes that would be awesome, even though on your blog I read your review on them✨👌🏼. And yes if any loser does talk trash about them online, they don’t have the competence or buying power to invest in these one of a kind shoes, I agree with you more passionately than anyone, because luxury feels nicer than any ordinary piece made, I’ve experienced it and will attest to it time and again!

Exquisite craftsmanship from G&G, as always. Justin, if possible, could you make a video about the cost of making a shoe. Whether it be the different grades of leather from different tanneries around to the world to the finer details and handwork. I think many people get caught up on the price tag, but don't necessarily understand the time, skills, and materials that are required to produce quality dress shoes.

I was wondering if you had any experience with G&G with their main line. All my dress shoes are from C&J with 348 lasts E size and I'm wondering how they fit compared to G&G TG73 lasts.

I have. I wrote about them around 3/4 years ago. If you go to my unboxing playlist you will find it. I find TG73 to fit small than 348. For 348 I take uk6.5 and I take uk7 for tg73

Justin, a comment. The GoPro keeps moving (focusing I guess) all the time. It is quite disorientating at times. Great shoes. I prefer the adelaide.
Yes I know. I do not know how to stop it. I think that is just what it does as I have it set to not autocorrect but I cannot find another setting to correct it even its on a tripod. As it is essentially built for movement I dknt think it likes still videos 🤦♂️

Almost all Oxford shoes from the different brands (Antonio Meccariello, Gaziano, Carlos Santos, TLB Mallorca, Carmina...) has the same design. Would be good if you make a comparison videos on some Oxford shoes which is better to buy.
Telling people which is better to buy is completely subjective and doesnt take into account peoples budgets, needs, likes, desires etc. Hard to make a comparison video based on facts. In the same pricepoint I might like the design of one but the fit of the other so which is better? Depends on what ee each value.

just picked up a pair of the Burnham Chelsey boots... they make my RM Williams look cheap... and that's saying a lot.
There is literally zero comparison. RM doesnt hold a breath to G&G. Enjoy your new boots
