- Over time, we might deplete the resources in our galaxy. In that case, we'd need to advance to become a Type 4 or 5 civilization to explore and extract energy from the rest of the universe. As a Type 5 civilization, we'd have no limitations on resources, and our focus might primarily be on our own technological progress, possibly neglecting the broader universe.
We know life feeds on life.
Our Oceans have predators that are dangerous so why do we think space is just rocks, stars and nothing.
But what if there are things that live in the void of space?

Well... yes, and no... its stupid assumption to think they would be nice to us, but also its stupid to think anything about them. In every possible way. We can only think in our category, and its a little box compared to so many different possibility. Maybe they dont even have differences between being nice and hostile. Except, a type 3 civilazation would already know about Earth and humans through any number of detection methods. We would have very little choice on how the contact (if any) would proceed.

How did the code for say green become the color green?

There will always be social problems. You'll fix one thing and ten more problems will be caused by the fix. There will always be people that feel they are not getting their so called fair share. It doesn't matter if the subject is food, money or shelter. People will fight over love, popularity, physical comparison, literally anything. This is a great theory but it has one fundamental flaw and that is human kind will either use energy from planets or stars.
