    That was my entry tool into m12 land probably 7 or 8 years ago. Still use it and still love it. I have a large assortment of Roloc discs as well, super handy.

    I believe the Milwaukee drill bit case you got has a threaded insert. They don’t have them on the new case but it looks like it does on the drill bit case you got from the pawn shop. I think it’s a 1/4-20.

      Yes it does. Milwaukee made a 1/4-20 screw-in magnet for that port, among other uses.

    Have converted almost all my drill bits to HEX SHANK ones. They fit into my power drill and my brace hand drill, both equipped permanently with a Wera Rapidaptor 888/4/1 K. They also fit directly in my bit drivers, such as PB Swiss stubby ratchet PB 8453.R-30, when I want to do some slow hand drilling. Favorite brands are "CONQROC Store" and "drillforce Store", including their M35 Cobalt bits.

    Great little polisher and my most used M12 tool. The side handle just gets in the way. Cup your other hand over the top for more control.

    Great Find Doc,
    I’ve had the same issues with my M12 grinder not taking much of a load. Looks like the Polisher might be a good alternative for having more power. 👍🏻

    Last month I got the m12 angle drill + battery and charger for 50€. It was in the "multitool/dremel" category.
    I only got it for the price. It is underpowered and not that compact, but hey, another m12

    Pawn shops around me they want 90% no talking down but that was a brushless model probably about 10 years old when they made that model but if it shows its got more speed in the diagram yeah good deal

    That's a great find and appears to be a great tool. Does Milwaukee chargers accept all the different volt batteries.

    • @lastbesttool
      @lastbesttool  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes. In fact most Milwaukee chargers do all m18 and m12 batteries on the same charger. In fact you can put both an m18 and an m12 on the charger at the same time and it will charge one and then the other.

    Very handy little tool but it is too bad they don't have the Fuel version yet. I don't think I would be able to do my entire truck with it but it has it's uses for sure.
    On the HD Canada site it's funny in the description saying it has blue tooth connectivity to multiple devices.

    I bet a 4.5in angle grinder handle would thread right onto that tool. Save a lot of work making one.

    Must be nice to have pawn shop guys that are not proficient in google. Most of the time around me these guys have used beat to crap tools at retail prices and wont budge on anything unless its been sitting for months.

      This shop mostly checks prices on ebay past auctions, and I just think this polisher flew under the radar and was just lumped into the m12 drill/impact crowd. The uniqueness of the tool, the battery, and the great condition were all ignored by the shop. In fact, they might have worried that since it's not a drill, it won't sell easily. Which in most cases is true. And that was probably what allowed the shop to get it for cheap which they passed on to me. Most people have no need for this tool. That said, I have purchased a heavily used tool with valuable battery, kept the battery and then asked the shop how much would they give me for the this tool?

    Profiting off the misery of others: every time you buy from a pawn shop you are subsidising their unethical business model. Don't make a habit of it.
