im looking in to this machine as i restore headlights .. i thought backing plate should of come with steel thead in stead of plastic wont the machine chew it up 😮

Cutting compounds! I have a 5 litre tin of t-cut been in the locker since 1997😂😂 still going strong, I bet you are cringing the thought of t-cut on the l200😁 I might need to move out of the dark ages 😂👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Putting to much polish on, only needs 2-3 pea sized drops on your pad

Reason the polish is flinging off is you're using far too much. 2/3 pea sized drops is all you need. More polish does not mean more shine. Also, that Autoglym polish is not really made for use by machine, get some proper compound and polish. If you want off the shelf stuff Halfords sell Meguiars ultimate compound and ultimate polish which will work well. Compound for scratch removal, polish for refning/finishing
