Brilliant. Helped me better understand the many (unmentioned) assumptions made in the North U Sail Trim Simulator iOS app.

That dude is genius ! So much work - optimization, calculations and even code itself in 2 weeks ? Amazing !!! Tremendous amount of work ! Usually i would say there are no way team of 5 people could do that in 2 weeks ... Also may i suggest to look a little bit on differential equations systems ? That looks like could be task solved by that field using some approximation method of solving them. Because basically what i understand we need to not a force but rather change of force. If we know that angle of heel is 0 and it changes 2 degree per second we could calculate that next second it would be 2 degree even before that second. But I'm no near to be an expert in field of real time physics calculations - maybe what I've said is totally wrong 😅

Thank you Viktor, but you give me a bit too much credit. I didn't write it in 2 weeks, I tweaked it in 2 weeks. I am no mathematics expert either, but yes differential equations certainly make a difference at certain points. Although most of what's at play here is a straightforward implementation of the good old law of Newton F=m.a and since the computations are done many times per second, most aspects of the boat movement and rotation ease out nicely. For now I am happy with the result :)
