Scamming the elderly is beyond cruel.
What's even more cruel is selfish old people who hoard their money. If she'd given her money to the food bank, it wouldn't have been stolen from her. But instead she'd rather sit on a pile of money and read books and wait for death to come.
@@jeffw1267 yeah they could have donated to a good cause including animal rescues. They are selfish because it's about their need for a sexual buzz or high. Also vanity included. We are elderly and help our kids out and they help us anyway. They protest not to help them but we like to and we don't give much as we live from payday to payday.
It's not cruel. The stupid do part with their money freely to hear a couple of silly sentences. These women who get scammed are rich.

We you watch so many Catfished episodes you start to see that most of them are selfish people with delusion of grandeur. If you don't investigate after you pay 1k then your just a client enjoying the flatteries given by a younger person out of your league. Thats it.

OMG, I’ve got to that age now where I get them all the time. Messages that just say ‘hi, blah blah’ it doesn’t matter what they say, if they aren’t sending a professional message or enquiry (I’m a professional wildlife artist) then I ignore it completely. I can’t ever imagine a situation where I might miss out by not answering

These idiots scam scheme lie cheat, and I feel sorry for people that get involved with them. I have had people asked me can I be your friend? I said no I have friends that might sound arrogant, but they pray on lonely people and get these people to send them all their money. I got news for them the train stops here.
I have lots of Facebook friends all over the world, whom I haven't met in person. They are part of my life; I would be lonelier without them as I am working from home and my kids are grown-up and have their own lives now. You do not have to throw out the baby with the bath water (Swedish proverb). You just have to use your common sense. And IF someone would suddenly make a demand for money (this has never happened to me yet), you can just block them then.
She was told it was a scam by those around her and the bank, and still sent the money 😳

He sounded a real old miser too. They met through the personal column in the newspaper. She was a real lady and a nice interesting person.

My mom tried to set me up on a date with a scammer. She didn’t know he was a scammer she thought he was a friend of a friend. He kept saying I love you and all kinds of sweet romance things. Well his fake name was Zack rumple. He also asked me to send him money well I never trusted him and stoped speaking to him as well as blocked him. I never send him money. Lesson learned.
I used to feel sorry for these people. But when I hear their stories I lose all sympathy because I don't understand how anybody could be that gullible and stupid.

No. We couldn’t ALL fall for this. I wouldn’t. I’m 75 now but when I was on dating sites for many years I was contacted by a lot of scammers but I saw right through them, even before they got to asking for money. It’s a BIG RED FLAG when a man asks a woman for money!

My wife fell for this chello player he talked out of ten thousand an stell g mail her i tried. To stop this but had a brainstem stroke and has lose her common sense and gets angry when i tell her what these people do and i am afraid for our retirement money could be stolen by these crooks

Hi Mr. Dare. We just found out that my 73-year-old mother-in-law is being scammed by multiple people on Facebook, and she's been sending them money. She's still married to her husband of almost 55 years but he doesn’t know about this yet.
We discovered she sent them pictures of her driver's license, front and back, picture of their saving and checking account numbers and routing number card. We're in Michigan. We're wondering if you could help us, please.
