Russell Hitchcock has excellent natural pitch. It's very noticeable. I think it also really shines on "The Power of Love," one of my favorite songs to listen to. It never gets old to me.

Saw them in concert a few weeks ago and they have still GOT IT! Russell Hitchcock sings just as well live as on the recording. He might not hold the notes as long as back in the day, but he hits EVERY one of them. Fantastic.
To me, this is one of the most beautiful ballads ever recorded. The vocal gymnastics in this piece are stunning! The harmonies are hauntingly light and airy and the whole piece just expands to Heaven. Next try Power of Love. Ms Celine did a beautiful cover but these giys did it first.

Jim, who left us recently, lived alone in the New York countryside with about ten cats. Like a vampire, he lived at night and slept during the day. Plagued by bouts of depression, he said that being incredibly depressed did not depress him. The Man mastered excess like no other (''Everything Louder Than Everything Else'', ''Going All The Way Is Just a Start'' ''Out Of The Frying Pan And Into The Fire''). There will never be another Jim Steinman.

My aunt took me to see them when i was like 11 ( I'm 55 now) i absolutely loved them. I thought oh lord why is she taking me. It's always been one of my favorite memories. They can sing, those voices are magic
Went to a private Christian HS, some teachers were Father's in Church. One in class, played this song, never heard it, knew the band, as it went on, he paused several times, saying it was God, and us asking how did he do that, making Love from Nothing at All. So since that, everytime I hear this song, look up and smile. There's a concert on here of them in 2000s, great to watch, younger in band, fans great, and the 2 up front still great...look it up and watch!

One thing about this time period in the '80s, at least in my area, was that things that were cool were really well defined and clique-ish. If you didn't wear just the right pants with just the right shoes in just the right way, and listen to the right music at the right time, and hang out with the right friends, and talk about the same kind of things, you just weren't cool. Air Supply was not a cool band, at least where I was from. You would get made fun of if you told people you liked Air Supply. The thing I love about your channel, as well as other reaction channels reacting to older music is that you are so far removed from any of that, that you can seriously just listen to the music for what it is and appreciate it with no pressure for it to be anything at all except for what you hear it to be. I love the freedom in that! It also seems like these days there's a lot more freedom to be yourself, especially with what's considered cool music. I'm glad things have moved that way!

I don't think they were underrated at all. They deserve full credit for destroying music in one fell swoop. Along with Boy George, Micheal Bolton and 80s Cheesy Hair Metal bands. Its been all downhill since the 60s and 70s!

Ive seen Air Supply 11 times since 2006. They are always on tour and ive caught them at my local casino venue. First time i saw them 2006 , i took my mom for her bday. I wasnt crazy about them but by the end of the week, i had bought their greatest hits album. Next time I saw them a few years later , they had a whole new band including the guitarist and they were hitting them notes hard. I havent seen them in 2 years but they are amazing live. Love this band. I Recommend reacting to them LIVE.
I've been a fan since the summer of 1980! I've been them nearly 2 dozen times since 1985, and as recently as 2022 & 2023. I've met them on numerous occasions, way before meet & greets cost extra! i had their Hawaiian concert video playing while i was in labor with my daughter in 1992. i saw them in 1994, and during a meet & greet after the show, i casually mentioned it to Russell Hitchcock, the lead singer. i didn't think anything else about it until YEARS later, i heard him mention in it an interview! he still mentions it today, as he's never forgotten it! I remind him every show i go to that "I'm the one"! i have been dubbed "Labor Room Linda"! a lot of Airheads know me and my story, and if they see an interview where he mentions me, they send it to me! i am so humbled that out of ALL the fans they've met over the last 49+ years (May 12, 2025 will be 50 years that THEY met), he remembered my li'l story! i have their logo tattooed on my wrist! yes, i am one HUGE fan! please keep going with their songs as they'll make y'all fall in love with each other all over again! they have that profound effect on people! lots of love, signed Labor Room Linda!

My aunt took me to see them when i was like 11 ( I'm 55 now) i absolutely loved them. I thought oh lord why is she taking me. It's always been one of my favorite memories. They can sing, those voices are magic
Isn’t it funny how often we get dragged into something only to find out later we truly loved it.
Went to a private Christian HS, some teachers were Father's in Church. One in class, played this song, never heard it, knew the band, as it went on, he paused several times, saying it was God, and us asking how did he do that, making Love from Nothing at All. So since that, everytime I hear this song, look up and smile. There's a concert on here of them in 2000s, great to watch, younger in band, fans great, and the 2 up front still great...look it up and watch!
Love me some Air Supply! They are awesome in concert! Russell Hitchcock (lead vocals) and Graham Russell are the heart of the band. They have some touching personal stories too!
One thing about this time period in the '80s, at least in my area, was that things that were cool were really well defined and clique-ish. If you didn't wear just the right pants with just the right shoes in just the right way, and listen to the right music at the right time, and hang out with the right friends, and talk about the same kind of things, you just weren't cool. Air Supply was not a cool band, at least where I was from. You would get made fun of if you told people you liked Air Supply.
The thing I love about your channel, as well as other reaction channels reacting to older music is that you are so far removed from any of that, that you can seriously just listen to the music for what it is and appreciate it with no pressure for it to be anything at all except for what you hear it to be. I love the freedom in that! It also seems like these days there's a lot more freedom to be yourself, especially with what's considered cool music. I'm glad things have moved that way!

One of the most underrated bands of the 80’s. Loved their music. Saw them in concert at their peak in the 80’s at an outdoor amphitheater. The sound was amazing.
I don't think they were underrated at all. They deserve full credit for destroying music in one fell swoop. Along with Boy George, Micheal Bolton and 80s Cheesy Hair Metal bands. Its been all downhill since the 60s and 70s!
I think they are the ultimate guilty pleasure for the 80's generation. Like Abba was in the 70's. My mother love Air Supply, haha.

Air Supply a favorite of mine. A very deep rabbit hole. The album Ultimate has 18 banger songs. I had hoped to have a girlfriend. The songs I wanted to play for that never gf. Were "Every Woman in the World", "Here I Am", " Even the Nights Are Better", " Two Less Lonely People in the World." The 80s was the decade of my 20s. Great reaction as always guys. I absolutely love Air Supply. They had the best love songs ever.
Ive seen Air Supply 11 times since 2006. They are always on tour and ive caught them at my local casino venue. First time i saw them 2006 , i took my mom for her bday. I wasnt crazy about them but by the end of the week, i had bought their greatest hits album. Next time I saw them a few years later , they had a whole new band including the guitarist and they were hitting them notes hard. I havent seen them in 2 years but they are amazing live. Love this band. I Recommend reacting to them LIVE.

I've been a fan since the summer of 1980! I've been them nearly 2 dozen times since 1985, and as recently as 2022 & 2023.
I've met them on numerous occasions, way before meet & greets cost extra!
i had their Hawaiian concert video playing while i was in labor with my daughter in 1992. i saw them in 1994, and during a meet & greet after the show, i casually mentioned it to Russell Hitchcock, the lead singer.
i didn't think anything else about it until YEARS later, i heard him mention in it an interview! he still mentions it today, as he's never forgotten it!
I remind him every show i go to that "I'm the one"! i have been dubbed "Labor Room Linda"! a lot of Airheads know me and my story, and if they see an interview where he mentions me, they send it to me!
i am so humbled that out of ALL the fans they've met over the last 49+ years (May 12, 2025 will be 50 years that THEY met), he remembered my li'l story!
i have their logo tattooed on my wrist! yes, i am one HUGE fan!

So......big, big song. It was written by Jim Steinman (who wrote all of Meatloaf's songs, as well as many done by Bonnie Tyler), and recording included 2 members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band; Max Weinberg on drums and Dan Federice on keyboards.

An amazing song from an amazing group and written by an amazing songwriter (Jim Steinman, who wrote almost all of Meatloaf's hits, as well as hits for Bonnie Tyler ("Total Eclipse of the Heart," "Faster Than the Speed of Night," and "Holding Out for a Hero") and Celine Dion ("It's All Coming Back to Me Now"). So glad you guys listened to this one! Now I have to recommend my absolute favorite song by Air Supply, "Two Less Lonely People." Such a beautiful song, I'm certain you will love it.
This is another awesome song by the incredible Jim Steinman. You know his stuff, he also wrote Celine's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", Meatloaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)", Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Barry Manilow's "Read 'Em and Weap" and many more. Jim Steinman was amazing. Russell Hitchcock sang lead on this and both guys have said in interviews that Russell did it in one take!
