Xbox is promised to leverage almost 30 Studios to bring world class first party games to the Xbox platform. But over the past couple of years waiting for revealed games to materialize has fans anticipating the upcoming Xbox showcase for 2024. Games have reached a critical mass in development and Xbox's poised to reveal some of their biggest games show the most gameplay and finally give us release dates for incredible games we will play in 2024 and into 2025. Here's what has been revealed for Xbox showcase.
Xbox is working with their suite of studios to bring games to the platform but they are also partnering with publishing studios and partners to create reimagined IPs and wholly new experiences that it is reported we will see in this upcoming showcase for 2024 in June. What will follow is some 20 games that Xbox plans to showcase and map out for us to play over the next year

Perfect Dark shocked me. I honestly thought that game was years out. I haven't even heard of the original Gears reimagining on UE5. If those both showcase, I will lose it!
Take everything with a grain of salt from him. Most everything has the faintest of rumors or his own personal beliefs set as fact. Last year he was dead set and telling everyone Gears was showing up 100% because he "believed" it
I would really love to see a Gears Collection with 2, 3 and Judgment, coming with an Ultimate version in EU5! That would be amazing!
Perfect Dark's 25th Anniversary is in 2025 and the PD games take place in the 20's so no surprise they wanted to drop this in '25.

It's not really a surprise. It's for the investors. Hey we know Starfield didn't do well, but look at the hype we have for Elder Scrolls 6, our next big game. Bethesda announced Elder Scrolls 5 after the blowback from Fallout 76. Fallout 5 was announced after the blowback of Starfield. Now Microsoft proper demands increased margins, so the question remains do they need Bethesda proper when their lead writer is terrible and their engine dated. Sure the show brought in the casual consumers, "hype train current thingers" to be specific, but they are a fickle lot. Ask Nintendo. No telling if they'll stick around for a few years until Bethesda's next game.
Gears should stay exclusive to Xbox and pc
Right now it's just a rumor it's going to all platforms. Until Xbox announces it I wouldn't put much stock into it.
Exclusives are the biggest problem in gaming. Should be able to play any game you want on the platform you choose.

What happened to Everwild ? That game (trailers and art style) looked so artistic, visually stunning and mesmerizing. I really want to see its gameplay.

As far as I know, Everwild was just an art style and that’s it. I guess the devs didn’t even know what kind of game to make with it, thus development hell with that game
I think they basically made the art style and some assets and would decide what to actually do with it later. It has been a while since we got anything about so hopefully they at least figured out what they want it to be. I think when it does come out, it’ll be pretty cool, the only issue is…when

I think Indy, Avowed, Gears 6, Shattered Space, and Doom sound like they're all pretty safe bets.
If you then add the Gears collection (if its actually a major overhaul), Perfect Dark, and Forza Horizon, then you've got a pretty good conference. Throw in a few more surprises, and it could truly be great! Last year was a fantastic conference, imo. They had been missing the mark for a few years, hopefully this year can continue to give us reason to be excited!

Games I wanna see:
Borderlands 4, Silksong release date, The Outer Worlds 2, Doom The Dark Ages, new Quake, Clockwork Revolution, Wolfenstein 3, more information on Fallout 5, an announcement that we're getting a Prey sequel ( from 2017 ) and a new dues ex.
If doom, elder scrolls and cod go third party it makes sense. But staple games like halo, forza, fable and gears need to stay on xbox and PC.
Cod is the only one that should stay multiplat... makes no sense not to leverage doom and elder scrolls
The problem is those developers might actually want the additional revenue from being multiplatform especially when they see other studios benefitting.
@@andyward8430those studios don’t make money off sales, Microsoft does. Every cent made goes straight to Microsoft. Microsoft is the one funding those studios. So those devs shouldn’t even care if a game is multiplatform or exclusive
@@alejandrogomez720 that isn’t true. Developers do get paid bonuses based on sales metrics and even hitting certain download goals on gamepass. It is going to vary from studio to studio and it’s based on whatever contractual agreements they have but it isn’t just a flat rate to make a game with no strings attached. There is probably even stipulations put in place saying that they make more or less for hitting development milestones and meeting release dates.
@@andyward8430 All that mostly applies to second party devs, not first party. Publishers make these contracts to hire second party devs. Publishers dont need to make a contract with first party devs since those publishers are pretty much their “boss”
Lists like this is exactly why I laugh when people say "Xbox is leaving gaming". They wouldn't spend 70 billion dollars just to leave.

I think they are too. Although everything will be in game pass as well. This is the way for them. Thats a pretty insane value. If the competition funds their machine id say thats a success. Lets be honest they're already setting the next table. They know they lost too much ground again. However.....Remember the Wii U, or gamecube? Those consoles were absolute failures. Dont under estimate what a hybrid console can do. A steam integration with a library they already own. Yeah thats where they gain ground. ABK, Bethesda were not owned by Microsoft the beginning of this generation. Let that sink in. A fresh start is scary for ponies.....@@las549
Want to know my theory of why Ninja Theory is safe from being closed no matter how Senua's Saga does? Because they are the Performance capture and Unreal 5 masters. Their support is going to raise the presentation level of all of Xbox’s AAA games. I bet their work will be on display in Gears 6 and Perfect Dark.
Everyone knows that the Coalition is at the top when it comes to UE. There is a high chance that the team worked with Ninja Theory to get Hellblade 2 to the graphical level that it is today.
Plus they are better suited to make small games now like Project Mara

I want stuff to look as nice as it can but when the framerate sucks and runs like shit and it's a stale boring open world I don't give a shit about the game and sadly that and monetization is the big trends now so no I predict utter failure going forward...a bunch more pretty bricks are gonna get released
gen 9 has not shown me anything impressive other than fancy bullshots....and CGI trailers, all i see is woke and failures usually at the same time....

Hellblade 2 Has set the bar for what this gens graphics should be. It's frustrating it took half a console life to really see it. As most games the last 4 years have come out half assed, half finished, and broken.

Great video. Looking forward to Perfect Dark, Doom, Indiana Jones, a new Banjo (I've enjoyed my time with Yooka-Laylee games), Wu-Tang sounds cool. Contraband is my most anticipated game though, that game just sounds really cool. I'm cool waiting until 2025, preferably during the first half to avoid GTA VI. Aside from that, yeah sweet lineup, I am a little nervous about the number of games potentially slated for Holiday 2024, but we'll see! I just want dates for these games, give us day and month dates! Fingers crossed that all these games will rock and that we get some awesome shadow drops after the Showcase!

It would have been multi platform back in 2015 when they started yet at that time xbox wasnt going to help with costs to make it sony did and sony got the exclusive rights to it at that time along with many more games not just square enix games.
It did get brought up in the ftc trial thats how we know the ff7r trilogy ff16 silent hill steller blade are all ps5 exclusive but you should just be thankfull square finally woke up and is now going multi platform and maybe they can get all those games out of a sony contract and make them playable everywhere becuase as square said they are fully going multi platform now.
I was just like you once i was angry that ff7 remake wasnt playable on my xbox or switch i waited years so you know what i did i waited for a ps5 sale and got a ps5 to play these games it sucks but if you want to play these 3rd party exclusive games in this era thats what you have to do though hopefully square will start making things playable everywhere.
@@pumpkinpie1509 The remake is a joke. It takes a big steaming crap right on the original. Couldn't even finish the first part because of how bad it is. Tifa was broody, Aeris was now cocky and foul mouthed, and the dungeons just dragged on to inflate the game time. That was money definitely wasted on my part.

There are so many good games available and so many more coming to Gamepass this year, that i won't have any problem waiting a little longer for Fable, TES and The Outer Worlds!

but they won't all be shown. MS usually never shows more than 10 per showcase. Here the actual showcase. Gears 6, Doom, Towerborne, ARA, Flight Sim 24, Perfect Dark, Zenimax Online Game, Call of Duty, Avowed And Indy.
Honestly if even half the stuff that isn’t already a given is at this thing it’ll be a pretty great showcase! And if Banjo is here, even if it’s not like Threeie but a remake of the first two, me and countless others will scream and cry tears of joy

I disagree Contraband taking place mostly in your car. Avalanche is known to allow open world freedom of the characters and they said this was their most ambitious game they ever made. There's no way you are just sitting behind a steering wheel most of the time. I expect a lot of 3rd person open world traversal gameplay. I'll be upset if Avalanche dropped their formula to make a Twister Metal heist game.
Perfect dark, Fallout 3 Remastered, Elder Scrolls 6, Fable, Forza Horizon 6, Blade, and Final Fantasy XVI are not showing up….

I would like to see a remastered version of the first two MechAssault games. Using the unreal engine 5.
I'm super excited about all of these games. I really think the Xbox landscape is going to change in a very good way over the next couple of years. I still haven't really played Starfield yet. Too many games. I'll wait until this holiday so I get the best experience, and it will all be new to me.
