I came to tears when Laura asked Monica “what would you put it on” and Monica’s response was “a spoon”🥹. My baby sister passed away 3 years ago and like Monica, Laura and Mom, Christmas shopping for the 3 of us together was a given every year, the response from Monica is exactly what my sister would have said 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️Thank you Laura and family for this episode🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🍸🍸🍸🍸
Suddenly, this early morning, I teared up when ya'll arrived at Franz Witty upon hearing ya'll interact with one another...it brought back such fond memories of my mother, her two sisters and their mother, my grandmother, as they all loved and shared interest in beautiful gardens! I accompanied them on most of their outings together from a very early age until after high school. Growing up west of Portland in the 70s and 80s was a magical time, and I'm the most privileged person, like Benjamin and Samantha Grace, to have had the childhood I did!! What a wonderful connection ya'll gave me, thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
“A spoon”. 😂 Gotta love Monica! She’s a woman of few words, but they’re all really good ones. Watching you shop with your mom and sister just makes me smile.
I could watch this video if it was 4 hours long. These vlogs with your mom and sister during Christmas are just so perfect. It fills my heart with absolute joy.
Oh, what a treat! I needed a Laura, Monica and Mom fix! I miss my mom so much! I know you all treasure one another. Thank you for taking us along! Merry Christmas!
I know. This will be the first Christmas without my step mom. I find myself thinking, “she would like this or that while Christmas shopping. Then I remember. It’s a joy to see the three of these gals enjoying the holidays together. They are making the joyful memories! So glad for them and that they generously share these moments with us! 🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚❤️❤️❤️🌲🌲🌲
Was I the only one with heart palpitations when Laura picked up all those ornaments and hanging them in the trees with only one hand while holding the camera with the other? Especially those expensive Santa ones 😱
🙋🏻♀️. Especially the Christopher Radko Santa’s! I’ve been collecting CR since 2010 - we have a special tree with just those ornaments on it. I kept saying “two hands!” 👀 she needs the special clip hangers for them to ensure they don’t fall off the tree.
And the confidence to have all those glass ornaments over the stone floor in the Hartley! I’m a klutz too and that tree would be full of wood or old-fashioned cloth ornaments… 😂
Of all the wonderful gardening videos you do, the ones where you, your Mother & Monica go shopping are my favorite. I’m left so happy & elated. Really makes my day! Thank you so much.
I love the mix between all the video topics. But you are right, the shopping ones are up there. (Doesn’t hurt that they are in Boise, where I lived while raising my daughter. I live with her and my granddaughter now in Oklahoma, but I DO miss Boise)
I love all your gardening and planting, but I have to confess I absolutely love watching and sharing the experience of shopping with you, Monica, and your mom. Thank you for sharing your family. 🥰💕
Monica and Nick, your home is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love the openness of it. Your yard looks fabulous too! Congratulations on winning the perfect bench too!!
I have been a florist for 39 years and still to this day, every time I walk in a cooler at a wholesale house, it blows me away! Not only is the cooler amazing, but the supply section is awesome as well. "Kid in a candy store!" Laura, I am not sure you could hear me... but I was yelling, "Check out the butterfly section!" LOL! I just love your shopping trips with Monica and your mom!♡ P.S. I watched for your mom's broach the rest of the video 😉
I got married in September also and our first Christmas ornaments we got as a gift for our wedding are still beautiful 48 years later! Every time we get them out I remember our wedding! I remember a lot of younger people who made fun of that gift, but there’s nothing better…I love them!❤❤❤
Laura, I so envy you, your Mom and Monica, shopping and spending time together! I lost my Mom and only brother and sister, a few years ago. I enjoy watching y'all!
We were married in August of 1979 and received a huge box of Christmas ornaments as a gift. We still use them every year. It really is an amazing wedding gift!
When I saw the Santa ornaments all I could think of was hang them high and wire them to the tree. My cats tails would have had them on the ground with their first pass. I just love when you go shopping with your Mom and sister. Thank you for taking us along with you.
The three of you are so special and a true joy to watch. I just chuckled over the unanimous "Mhmm" when discussing the different textures of ribbons. You all are just a hoot. Merry Christmas!
These are my fave videos with your Mom and sister. I love that Monica has different tastes in decor. It brings variety! I loved the runner she held up. I also loved everyone’s choice of wrapping paper. The ballet slipper was precious. ❤
Such a beautiful day with your precious family. Monica is looking especially good. Three beautiful women shopping together. How heart warming is that? Reminded me so much of my mother, brother, and I, out shopping together. It was such a beautiful moment in time Thank you, Laura.
I have adult children now, when they were born we started a tradition of going each year as a family to each pick out an ornament in early December. They started their adult life with a set of 18 varied ornaments and a handful that I gave them over the years. We continue the tradition now with my grandsons who are 5&7. It is one of my families favorite traditions each year.
Hey Laura. I've been collecting Christopher Radko ornaments for almost 40 year's. Yes, they are expensive but each one are hand painted and blown into a mold . Most of them were originally made in Europe and are collectable . They retire the molds after so many year's. I think I have around 100 of them. We put them on a 9ft tree and the sunlight shines on the tree through the window in the morning and all that glitter and brilliant paint just glisten. I look forward to hanging them every year. By the way, love your videos and always look forward to seeing them. I've been following you for years and have learned so much. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Enjoy your ornaments. Buddy.
There is just something about Monicas, especially when shopping, that reminds me so much of my little sister. We don't live close and I am constantly missing her. In these trying times, I am rewatching a ton of your holiday and shopping content!
Your shopping videos are my favorite. Every time I watch one I get in the mood to go antique shopping. I love the antique ornaments. My grandmother gifted me a bunch of antique ornaments when I moved in to my first apartment. I treasure them more than ever now. She's been gone for over 23 years. I'm 53 years old, and they are still my favorite ornaments. 💗🌲
When my daughter married I had her come over and pick out all her childhood ornaments and other favorite decorations. Hubby didn't have much to add so she created some for him using pictures and other memory items she got from his sister. They had a very sweet first christmas tree. That was 21 years ago. She's continued the ornament tradition for her girls for when they leave home.
Welcome to the world of Christopher Radko, Laura. His ornaments are beautiful...typically high quality, expensive, and often handmade. Love your collection of ornaments. Such a beautifully curated collection. Nice video. 🙂
Also I’ve been told by collectors don’t throw away the containers those collectibles come in, they’re worth more in the container they come in.👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
And do read up on his story. He was on QVC many years ago..and said he played under and knocked down his grandmother's tree with many collectibles which smashed. Of course a crushing disappointment. Eventually he went into the business of making highest quality ornaments.
Oh, Laura…You will always cherish all your ornaments, but adding Christopher Radko ornaments was a huge win! I love looking at mine every year…they add so much beauty to any tree! So enjoyed seeing you all have a lovely day!!🎄🎁🌟
Hi Laura, Monica and Susan, It’s a lovely day when we get to shop with you ladies. When you get home with plants, presents for loved ones, food and decorations you know you’re blessed. Laura - if you get a chance to see Rebecca Robeson’s Christmas decorating videos I’m sure you’ll enjoy them. She decorated a residence in La Jolla with only Radko ornaments 😮
Hi Laura! I always love a good shopping day with you, your Mom and Monica! You girls always have so much fun together. Monica, your and Nick's house is so pretty, and congrats on winning the bench! Lunch looked delicious. All of the different shops were set up so pretty. Thank you so much for sharing!
It was a pleasure to follow along with you, your mom and sister as you shop for Christmas…. You all have so much fun! I sure miss those days with my mom. Thanks for this fun “tag along” with you. Blessings to you💖💖
Can we expect a full on Christmas home tour this year, Laura? Still watch the home tour videos from previous years. They are so wholesome to watch and give such nice Christmas vibes🎉❤.
So Fun! Love shopping with your mom and Monica 🙌🏻. What kind of boots did your mom get? I’m looking for some also. Remember to keep Samantha’s first ballet shoes-I have my daughter’s in a shadow box with a picture of her in her first tutu. Thanks for bringing us along for the fun 😊
I so enjoyed this shopping trip! I owned a Garden Store and florist for 27 years. I haven’t been in DWF for years. You 3 are such a treasure. Thank you for sharing so much of your life.
Ornaments are a great wedding gift! I often give a beautiful Nativity Scene as a wedding shower gift. Year after year, I get pictures of couples setting up their Nativity during the Christmas season. It seems to be a treasured gift.
I found the Santa tree ornaments and fell in love with the entire range - especially their 50s style decorations. Already emailed to check they will ship to the UK
I love you three, ladies. You're such a blessing to watch as you interact with one another. I enjoy hanging out with the 3 of you and feeling your love. You're are very blessed young ladies to have such a wonderful mom. 🥰
@5:32 That right there, shows how good of a mom your mom is and how big her heart is... so sweet. She didn't want to grab the ornament, knowing that Monica had already been looking for one. It's like when your child is young and trying to help you with something, and you know that you could get it finished a lot faster, but they want to do it themselves, or they have already been trying so hard... There's the mom's that finish it and say "I got it, I can do it faster!" & the moms that stand there patiently waiting for them to finish, so that their efforts isnt lost, and so they can learn and grow... 🥰 *and then she tops it off by saying all kids should have the experience of putting tinsel on a tree... oh my goodness! I love her so much! I hope that I am half the mom she is! & she's not even my mom! lol
I just love your shopping trips. My two daughters and I do the same sort of thing whenever we can. It’s such a wonderful way to spend time together. And…I’m pretty sure I bought the same set of wooden ornaments as on Monica’s tree when we were just newly married. I still put them up every year: lots of good memories encapsulated in those wee things.
My very favorite thing, watching today's shopping trip with Monica and your Mom, is how you three go through plant nurseries and shops, and call every plant by its scientific name!! I laugh out loud, knowing I would be saying, "the curly dark green thing with berries!" This video is such fun!
My mom and sister would totally go shopping like you guys its just that we’re in 2 different countries and 2 states apart. Thanks for sharing your family.
How fun, thanks for sharing! One idea for your beautiful wrapping paper is to cut out the individual balloons and put each paper section into separate small picture frames to make small frame ornaments for your tree. You showed how to use small picture frames on a tree years ago (I’ve put the fronts of cards that I love in some). 😊
I will be attending a wedding in 2024 and the couple will be getting some Christmas ornaments! I always remember that story and how much you guys appreciated it! :)
Aaaah yes! Christopher Radko ornaments are beautiful (and pricey), but definitely a collectors item! I have several, and love them! Thanks for letting us tag along on your shopping trip and join in your fun! Love to be around Monica and your mom! Monica’s “a spoon” response, had me spit out my coffee! Hilarious! 😂 Loved seeing Monica’s house all decorated for Christmas…you girls have such good taste! What is your mom going to use that beautiful green ribbon for? Anyone else keep checking to see if she still had her brooch on? 😅
Christopher Radko ornaments are beautiful. This year I bought the fawn snowman. I try to buy one a year, but we don’t live in an area that have stores that carry them. Also love the Shiny Bright vintage ornaments.
I love these shopping videos! So fun to see Monica and Mom with Laura. My husband and I immediately recognized the Radko ornaments and then realized Laura had no idea on the price! We lived near a store that had quite the Radko collection and they would hold a wreath making class to use the broken ornaments. (The damaged sections could easily be hidden in the greens.) Always thought that was a clever idea because for collectors, it's bound to happen!
Money is good to have but family means so much. Love seeing the three of you together, Monica is so natural, as Laura and mom. Such a wonderful treat. Do you know you all three echo each other’s words, love it, so special. I never had a sister but I really miss my mom, I love seeing your mom and her interaction with her girls.
Good morning... what a great way to spend the day with your Mom and Sister. The Christmas shopping you did was so nice... beautiful ornaments. Have a nice day.
Laura, "What would you put it on?" Monicas, "A spoon!" I love this on so many levels!!!
Dip a piece of chocolate in it. Use it in hot cocoa
Isn’t that the best response. Go Monicas 👍🏽👏🏽😂
Me too! What a beautiful and real family.
Best answer! Yes, Monica! You go, girl! ❤😂
"ooh, I like that! I think there's a holiday coming up" Mama Garden-Answer is an absolute gem
Hint hint 😅❤
Wonder how many she’s going to get😂
She was soooo subtle!

Yes. Thank you for sharing that. ♥️
❤️
Ooooo! Can I just say that I love what Monicas has done to her home? Beautiful, fun, cozy, and charming. 😊
“A spoon”. 😂 Gotta love Monica! She’s a woman of few words, but they’re all really good ones.
Watching you shop with your mom and sister just makes me smile.
Yes! Yes she is! 😂

Yes, I felt like that also. When my mom passed, I felt like an orphan.
My mom and sisters and best friend are no longer with us going shopping with Garden Answer ladies warms my heart!!❤️🌲❤️🎄❤️🌲
I feel ya! Makes me feel like I'm shopping with my mom n sister.
@@lindaleal809Awww She is still with you!❤
Was I the only one with heart palpitations when Laura picked up all those ornaments and hanging them in the trees with only one hand while holding the camera with the other? Especially those expensive Santa ones 😱
Also when she was looking at other things on the island/opening the box with the boots etc. But then, I'm a klutz.
🙋🏻♀️. Especially the Christopher Radko Santa’s! I’ve been collecting CR since 2010 - we have a special tree with just those ornaments on it. I kept saying “two hands!” 👀 she needs the special clip hangers for them to ensure they don’t fall off the tree.
Nope! Right there with you. 😅
I KNOW right!!!!
And the confidence to have all those glass ornaments over the stone floor in the Hartley! I’m a klutz too and that tree would be full of wood or old-fashioned cloth ornaments… 😂
Losing the brooch was a very Anne of Green Gables moment! 👒 Glad your mum found it ❤
I was thinking the same thing. LOVE Anne with an E! Don't you think It must have been the seatbelt?
❤ Anne of Green Gables. I have her recipe book.
Of all the wonderful gardening videos you do, the ones where you, your Mother & Monica go shopping are my favorite. I’m left so happy & elated. Really makes my day! Thank you so much.

“ I have appreciation for all kinds of stuff” as Laura’s Mom declared. Same here! 🥰🎄❤️
Me too!
Laura, you had the biggest smile when you told us you were going Christmas shopping with Monica and your Mom! A well-deserved break.
Laura whispering "I am getting such good gift ideas right now." 😅I burst out laughing cause it's true. Love your videos
I loved when she said that also🎄🎅🏻
I love all your gardening and planting, but I have to confess I absolutely love watching and sharing the experience of shopping with you, Monica, and your mom.
Thank you for sharing your family. 🥰💕
Monica and Nick, your home is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love the openness of it. Your yard looks fabulous too! Congratulations on winning the perfect bench too!!
So enjoy watching you shop with your Mom and Monica. Please let Monica know her home is beautiful! Love her kitchen!
Monica's hair is really suiting her today!
I know genetics explain it, but it still fascinates me how these three are so similar. The voices, the facial expressions, the mannerisms. It’s wild.
I have been a florist for 39 years and still to this day, every time I walk in a cooler at a wholesale house, it blows me away! Love your shopping trips!! Monica is a hoot!! “On a spoon!” 🤣😂🤣
WOW...a trifecta this morning! Laura, Monica and Mom. Lucky us😊
We were married in August of 1979 and received a huge box of Christmas ornaments as a gift. We still use them every year. It really is an amazing wedding gift!
I love spending a shopping trip with you ladies. Thanks for taking us along.
It's always nice to see you 3 ladies out shopping. 😊❤ The ornaments you picked out for your trees are beautiful!!

Omgoodness, Monica’s house is so pretty. I love it. Her rack of cast iron cookware speaks to me!!! 👌🏼💚
Feeling blue this morning but hanging out with Laura and Monica and Susan is helping❤️I LOVE Monica’s sweater! So cute!
sending you a hug...I hope your day perks up

Hope your day brightens. ☺️
I love watching you shop with your mom and sister. It brings back happy memories of shopping with my mom.
Monica’s commentary in this one 😂 she shines!
“I like the donuts”
Same, girl!
Such a beautiful day with your precious family. Monica is looking especially good. Three beautiful women shopping together. How heart warming is that? Reminded me so much of my mother, brother, and I, out shopping together. It was such a beautiful moment in time
Thank you, Laura.
Love Monica's hair! What a fun outing.
Mama Duck and her Ducklings shopping!
Such a beautiful sight to see!
That’s what my mom called us kids when we were younger. Then I went to college, she said she’d keep counting her ducks and come up short.
How fun would it be to go shopping with Laura, her mom and Monica ❤❤

Love the miniature Christopher Radko ornaments…called Little Gems

You showed how to use small picture frames on a tree years ago (I’ve put the fronts of cards that I love in some). 😊
Great idea! maybe Ken, who does the editing can do that in the future? It would be so fun!
LOVE how you and your mother and sister spend so much time together. You all are so adorable. Thank you for sharing your life. Mom and Monica too.
These are some of my favorite videos! Merry Christmas to you all
Monica, I love the jingle bells poinsettias as well. So beautiful!
I love the shopping and antiquing family videos !! So much fun to see you all interact and shop! Beautiful family! Happy holidays!!😊🎄🎅🏻🧑🏼🎄
I love when you go shopping with your mom.
Thank you for showing Monica's garden!
Hilarious! 😂
Loved seeing Monica’s house all decorated for Christmas…you girls have such good taste!
What is your mom going to use that beautiful green ribbon for? Anyone else keep checking to see if she still had her brooch on? 😅
Yikes - Radko ornaments are soooo beautiful but "pricey" is an understatement.
@chrisrfan, check my comment, up thread. We have the same Christopher Radko reaction!😄😄
@@dmbalsam I do the same too!
I have good memories of tinsel on my tree growing up. 😊
These videos with mom and sister are such a joy to watch! So much fun! ❤ Love the gorgeous ornaments you chose for your trees…so pretty.
