Oh my goodness, 76 year old here and the squeaky floor just took me back to childhood. The excitement of going Christmas shopping with mom and grandma came in a rush! Thanks for the tour of your magical store. Everything is displayed beautifully ❤️
I love old squeaky wooden floors too, take me back to my childhood as well, when we spent summer weekends up our cabin in Somerset county (Laurel Highlands) PA. We'd go to Ohiopyle (waterfalls) and there was an old general store, that had wooden floors throughout and a squeaky front screen door to enter inside. (Cabin had a squeaky screen door too, and I love that sound)!

Oh, my stars!!!, I would love a store like this in my hometown, it would be my go to for all seasons.....everything looked so festive with such quality items, and loved so many of the unique items throughout the store. It has been put together with much love and thought. Ty for the tour. I enjoyed it so much😊

I have a sheep tree. I made all of the sheep and knitted a garland with white wool yarn. It's one of my favorite trees
You and your mom could be touring a grocery store and it would be fun! The garden center looks exquisite - your customers must love having so many unique choices. Your family goes above and beyond as hosts, having homemade snacks, raffles. I would love to shop there!!

My sister her daughter Samanthia passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago. I bought her a big gazing ball with the cardinal and pine cone boughs.

She has 3 children they were 5, 6, 7. My sister has them she’s fighting for custody. They want to be w nana, we would appreciate all of te thoughts and prayers sent her way.

Well, tomorrow’s video will be a “DIY rotating tree stand” for the Hartley 🎄 and I’m here for it!!
Way way back when Martha Stewart sold her line of everything at KMart, I bought her rotating 7 ft pre-lit Christmas tree. It was magnificent. I had so many ornaments that I needed to put them on the back of the tree. It finally stopped lighting in the middle a couple years ago. Haven't put up a tree since. Maybe this year. I can just strig my own lights on it. Thank you Susan and Laura for the tour and sparking a fire under me to get decorating.

I have one of those I bought at Brenners when we lived in Michigan and attach it to a garland over the library door……the kids all love it. It plays like 25 songs!

21:29 the finish on your three piece nativity is called sugaring. Or sugared. Back in the day before industrial ornaments became a thing people would sugar coat fruit. And hang them on the tree. Sugared pears were very popular.

Day 1 of asking if you can set your mom up with a real nice mic and get her to read us a Christmas poem or the Christmas story. Her voice is so calming and soothing, she could read me right to sleep. 😴
Several years ago I bought the rotating base for tree. At that time it was $85 from lowes. Still one of my most favorite Christmas items even tho I don't decorate so much anymore. Gotta have the rotating tree every year!!! Lights plug into the base. Tis a wonderful invention!!!

I loved this tour and seeing you and your mom together having so much fun! When i lived in Massachusetts, my favorite thing to do at Christmastime was to tour Mahoney’s Garden Center. They had the best displays and ornaments! I haven’t found a place like Andrew’s or Mahoneys here in Western NC, but I’m excited to go see the big gingerbread house contest, the Biltmore at Christmas, and Winter lights with my mom and making memories like you are with yours!
I live in Massachusetts and Mahoney’s is sheer magic at Christmastime. For that matter it’s awesome all the time, especially in spring and summer when it’s bursting with garden plants. Enjoy your quest for Christmas delights! 🎄
I know! It is one of my favorite places on earth! My son and I have so many happy memories of strolling through and finding treasures at Christmastime. I was literally thinking of flying up just to do that and see our friends haha.

It would take me a couple of trips to be able to take it all in. So many pretty things! What a cool scavenger hunt you could host: hide a number of a certain ornament; give your kids a map(or customers) and circle where you found each item.
If i came to Andrew’s I would be spending several hundred dollars easy 😱 I am a Christmas ball junkie. I just recently went to Tennessee for a Storytelling Festival and spent over $100. on ornaments! There is a Christmas store. So hard to resist 🎄🎄🎅
When I saw you were going to tour the fully decorated garden center I made sure I had my cup of decaf and toast first then sat back and enjoyed the "show." Always a delight to watch!

Laura, your garden center is just magical. I love all of your beautifully striking pointsettas,plow & hearth trees, lighted candles and the list goes on and on. I ordered my tree from Hammacher-Schlemmer got the tree assembled and realized I received a faulty tree. No matter how hard I tried no lights! Called customer service & they said send the tree back then we will send out a new one! Don't have the box, then asked for their address & customer service said we can't give out that information. So you know what, I am disputing the charge,buying my own light for the tree & decorating with my own ornaments. Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family. Your garden center sounds like a very friendly and welcoming place. God Bless You Always! 😍
I feel your Mom when she said “when I get my house back”. We gut remodeled our kitchen/ dining room during Covid, nothing arrived and our installers refused to work, so other than running the new electrical line to our expanded island we did the work ourselves. The it took months and we were exhausted at the end of each day. It’s been almost 2 years and I still have mornings when I first wake up and am almost afraid to head into the kitchen for fear it’s not done…
It’s really unfortunate that I live so far away because there are so many things I would love to have! 🙂. Thank you Susan and Laura for sharing your joy.

Benjamin and Samantha could have fun making glitter pine cones. I made them with my son about 20 years ago and they’ve been used every year since.

I'm enjoying the shades of green in all the Christmas decor this year. I had to have a laugh because you guys shop in Andrews just like you do when you go flea marketing. after Thanksgiving which Iam sad at how pushed aside Thanksgiving has become. I love it and enjoy every moment of it. I always enjoy the Christmas tour of Andrew's. One of our Christmas traditions, when our kids were young, was to take them to a local store that decorated their whole store. It's a happy memory.

Love that large snowman with a wreath on his head and 10 inch stuffed owls. Those gingerbread houses over the seeds looks so nice, has matching red to some plants like peppers. ⛄🌹❄❤
I have a poinsettia that my cousin gave me about 7 years ago. It blooms for me every year. I am so happy. It’s the first time I have even kept them for the entire winter season. I do put it on my front porch every summer and in a sunny window in the house for the rest of the year.
