To avoid confusion they should put the information that it is a chess varient in the title but also below the score's table. Every now and then chat is just like "???" or "what happened".

How can anybody in the chess world thing pogchamps is bad for chess? If you want chess players to earn as much as someone who plays league, or starcraft, or CS:GO or whatever you have to have the viewership numbers like those games. Chess appeals to everyone. But not everyone knows of chess. Getting the broader esports scene into it can only help. If we can get enough people introduced to chess and loving it to the point where its fans sell out huge stadiums like other games and sports then we will finally be on the right track for where this sport should be headed. It's been long enough. ~1400 years of the meta evolving and growing and worlds greatest players don't even make as much as a random bench player on any NBA team.
