    Ha, that's me you pass at about 1 min. You were flying. I'd just bashed my shin into the pins on Cressy Descent. Good day out there.

      Haha so funny! Ouch, Cressy is pretty wild. It was a good day alight - dirt was in good shape. See you on the trails :-)

    I honestly love riding at the You Yangs and checking out cool tracks. Me and my fam went to check out black Dimond and it is really beautiful but my uncle cut his hand open on a rock lol

    Reckon the green trails at the youies would be fine on a gravel bike? Think I really just want to avoid rock gardens.

      Yep for sure. Go out to the Kurrajong Plantation side. No rocks and chill, flat trails. I did a write-up on the Youies here including maps: longandwinding.com.au/trail/you-yangs

    If I went to You Yangs, which single black diamond trail do you think is the easiest??? out of the blacks... I have ridden some pretty tech blue trails in NSW, but based out of melb now and probably going to try You Yangs soon... but wondering which black trail should be the first one to try there. I'm probably better at tech, than jumps :)

      Late reply here but you want to ride the Stockyards side. There are plenty of trails like Trav's there that don't require you to do jumps. Cressy's Descent probably has the most jumps.

      g.co/kgs/9ZdAZC start there and head past the water tank. There is a nice loop starting with the trail rusty tin track. Download the trailforks app

    Any advice for taking the rock berm’s (on an anthem advanced) for a ‘black’ beginner? I know I’ll be taking the clipless pedals off next time that’s for sure....

    • @longandwinding
      @longandwinding  4 роки тому +1

      Treat them like a regular berm, but with less grip. Keep relaxed and central on the bike and keep momentum up

      Haha agreed. Risk of injury dramatically drops when sitting on your couch vs a saddle!
