Hamish, what bike and tyres do you recommend for Bright? What PSI did you find worked, looks like the trails were hard packed clay
I think my 150mm Jekyll was perfect. I rode all the trails on it, even Mystic dh and World Cup. I was running about 22-24 psi in my maxxis minions and they were perfect, especially on the blown out rocky gnar of Mystic

For those who want to go up mystic and want to go up to hero without shuttle you want to take up and at em then take the second left where their should be a gate just go around it then take up dj then if you will see a chair made of skis pass it until you find hades and then take hades and go up the hill from their you’ll get to the top eventually if you don’t want to go too the top go past hades and you will come across shred Kelly’s last stand you can either take that or keep going and go down what I like to call the second half of hero hope this helps👍
Grew up out that way but never rode MTB then now that I'm getting into it will definitely have to head up there with the best mate from myrtleford

How would it compare to the red hill climb?
If we’re talking the whole red hill climb, maybe 1.5 times the size?
I went to Bright for the first time a few weeks ago, was fantastic, so much climbing involved though!

Cheers Louis! A lot of the really good non-POV shots were by Mateo. He’s a gun! Look out for his edit on his Instagram dropping soon. In terms of colour grading I use a Peter McKinnon LUT across the whole project

Awesome clip!! Got me really excited about heading back in a few weeks. So... Hero Trail and Shred Kelly are both running/open? Has Hero been restored? Last time I was there (well over 12 months) only the top section of Hero was open. Once crossing over the access Rd and back into the pine trees, that whole section was getting logged and Hero was closed. The pump track near the bottom of mystic lane was also logged.
