As someone from NJ I can say with confidence that the owners of the last house are a rich catholic Italian couple in their mid-late fifties. They have a turbulent relationship. She ridicules him constantly, both publicly and privately and after spending years in a loveless marriage he’s decided it’s easier just to take it. The home gym is his safe space. She decorated that too, and he resents her for it. But that’s ok. It only pushes him to work harder.
And as for the first house, it's not just that it's Jersey people trying to be classy, it's the Jersey shore. That is a specific brand of tacky-chic-wacko that can really come from a Jersey shore house.

I personally love that garage home, being underground it would keep the temperature comfortable in the summer and in the winter. I think that the owners shouldve leaned into more of an eccentric/eco decor to go with all of the cement. I think painting some of the cement wouldve been helpful as well but over all I really like that space.

Low-key, the garage/bunker house is kinda dope. Those simple yet raw concrete accentuate the furniture n the interior decor. I would buy it if only i got the money.
