I don’t understand how you’re so oily but your foundation wears so well still!?!? 6 hour wear?!? Like any foundation I use starts to separate around 3 hours... 😭
Emma Louise Lavens try putting a little bit of loose powder on your face after primer, it helped my makeup last soooooo much longer + barely oily
Hailey I’ve tried that one too, and setting spray prefoundation too 😭 can’t seem to stop the separation and I’ve Litterally tried like every trick nikkia has suggested too

Ohh I LOVE THE Nars sheer glow!! I didn’t think it would work for me until you talked about it and I tried it and haven’t looked back since. It’s one of my all time faves including the Giorgio Armani luminous silk that I’ve also tried cuz of you!! It’s one of my HG! The Fenty face products, primer, concealer and foundation didn’t work out for me sadly but this primer looks the same as the side with no foundation. ❤️❤️❤️

I’d love to try this even if it just helps with texture. My oil has been better controlled since using your powder (I have a new one coming now, I’m desperate for it!) so my main concern is texture on my forehead and cheeks. Maybe I’ll get a sample and see how it goes. Thank you as always for your thorough reviews! Same! I would love to see it paired with the Fenty foundation! I notice that Fenty products tend to work best with each other. Like the original primer. It’s ok under other foundations, but it’s magic under the Fenty foundation!

I tested this out today and let it sit on my skin. It absorbed all the oil and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. I was very surprised but needed to watch this video for further research

U should try the Max factor miracle prep pore minimizing and mattifying primer, I’m an oily skin type and it does wonders for me and sticks the foundation onto the skin really well😊🧡
Can you please try this with the new hydrating foundation by them ? I know it might be a disaster some of us oily ladies are tired of being so matte

Honestly only downside is like the powder the sifting holes don't close.
Do you ever find that oil controlling products make you more oily? That's usually what happens to me. Also I picked up the oil control primer from smashbox and it doesnt really work all that well.
I have that happen with some products too. I think the theory is some mattifying products for oily skin are too matte to where your skin starts producing more oil because of the drying factor of matte products. I actually find that a natural foundation like loreal fresh wear I get less oily than I do from matte foundations
@@xxviciousbeautyxx yeah, that's kind of what I figured as far as theory goes. It seems for me that anything specifically labeled oil controlling makes me more oily, whereas things labeled mattifying don't. The fresh wear foundation wears pretty well on my skin too. I wouldn't say I get less oily though. Definitely the most oil controlling foundation for me personally has been estee Lauder double wear. Hands down.

The only primer that worked to mattify my skin is Guerlain eye primer over my sunscreen, which work wonders by itself by the way. I don't use primer and just put the foundation over my sunscreen.
However, I bought every eyeshadow primer that I know off in the hopes of finding one to work with my very hooded and oily lids coupled with watery eyes. None worked, but I wouldn't throw them out. So, I use them on my face. That is how I discovered the Guerlain one worked great to keep my oils at bay. By the way, I discovered my eyes are allergic to dimethicone.

Honestly have this product... it’s get a shiny by prob the 10th hour or so and I have oily/combo skin but I go back and forth with the Becca primer

I work at sephora and when we got training on this I learned the soft matte primer is actually a HYDRATING primer with a “soft matte” finish, in my opinion very misleading lol & this new one is fully matte
Please do not feel bummed out. Your review matters. At least I know for sure not to rush out to buy the primer. I am curious to see how the Fenty Mattifying primer works alongside the Pro Filtr soft matte. I will wait until I finish my soft matte primer. Also heard some good reviews on the Dior Backstage primer. Please can you review this?

Nikkia did you break out from this or the original fenty pro filtr primer? I got a sample of the pro filtr primer and I loved it under the pro filtr foundation, but I broke out all over my chin the next day. I don't normally break out from the foundation on its own

Hey Nikki, have yoy ever tried the peach sake pore serum from skinfood? I put it on before my moisturizer in my most oily spots and it basically creates a soft touch, matte barrier so that, after I apply my makeup, wherever I apply it, I'm way less oily. I just thought I'd suggest it. I discovered it a couple years ago and it's become a holy grail. It's also affordable (about $16 usd) and one bottle lasts forever because yoy only need a little bit. Anyway, I hope I see yoy try it sometime!
