Norwegian Bliss | Juneau | Did we see any whales?

JUNEAU!!! Our first port and we are so excited to get off the ship. The last time we came here, the ship docked at 7:30pm. There was nothing to see or do.
This time, the ship arrived on time!!! We went to look for the whale excursion and then had lunch 😋 at Tracy's King Crab Shack.
How many times did I say cold 🥶 (and wet)???

Alaska seems like one of those places that are hit or miss, Lol!! I think I saw when Edna went and it was warm the whole time they were there. I guess pick another month. And Alaska has a ahort season. Cold is one thing, but rain and cold- I cannot do!!

I have friends going in May '26, that may be a better time. But one of these days I'll see the whales 🐋 🙂
Cold is ok, but cold and wet ain't where where it's at.

I’m sorry you didn’t get to go whale watching!! I’ve been twice and was able to catch a few whales! I’m going to Alaska in Sept, for 9 days on the NCl joy. But don’t think I will whale watch this time but try to go on the tram up the Mtn.

I think I will leave the whales alone (in Alaska) for a while. We are doing the Mexican Riviera in November... I saw a whale excursion for Puerto Vallarta. I might look into that. Or am I a glutton for punishment 🤔
We did the tram in 2013 in Juneau, it was cool.

When we went to Sitka Alaska our whale watching was cancelled due to the rain. We are doing the Alaskan cruise again this year in September so we will see. But yall food sure looked delicious.
I'm gonna see those whales one day for sure.
