7:35 There is an error here. It does not progress while in Vex Generating state. The logo shape in building_from_patterns is different. how do i fix it? please save me!
I'm running into an odd issue...the minute I stick the box into "building_from_patterns" I get a warning "invalid pattern" and the box turns red rather than getting the wireframe. When I plug in the pattern and try to get the floors I gt no floors showing up in the list. I double checked my parameters for the box and they appear to be the same as specified in the example?!
Well, I just (3/31/23) got an email from SideFX support....apparently the issue with not recognizing patterns from the HDA in UE 5.1 is a bug and has been logged in their database accordingly. So we'll have to keep up with their updates.
Hi, how can I avoid gaps in the building when the building wall segment size is smaller then the segment (wall element) it self? In the other tool Labs Building generator without pattern it scals the segments to fit.
as soon as i connect building_from_pattern node after boxgeo, but box start showing in red ( no divisions wires ) which is really strange .. any ideas??
is this for games? can we do this for a hdrp game? i just think that these much polygon and theat they are auto generated , imagine each block has a 1k map , isnt that so heavy to be repeated this times?

Hey is this outdated beacuse I get so many problems when I try to follow this one for one. Invalid Patterns etc. etc.
Plugging the Labs Building Generator Utility output after merge in, and pressing "Show Floors" I get so many /BaseWalls/ and the box turns red.
Tested several Houdini versions, all same. Is it broken?

Is there a way to limit scaling of the modules? I have a window that stretches to 199% of its size before splitting in two, it looks very stretched.
Building from patterns not available in 19.5, is this replaced with Labs building_generator? menu looks different

It may have been a bug in build 493…when I upgraded to 534 it started working.
Are you guys finish the building?

@@proceduralnodes3d Got same error with H20 when using Megascans module walls, then just replaced mesh with the grid in the floor logic and it worked.
How does this work with Imported models? Mine never seem to line up but they do in other programs perfectly fine?

can you not do this series of videos with Houdini 18.5 or do you need 19 and higher?

Make the box bigger and turn of compile from inside the building_from_patterns node.

@@yaschan99 Unlock the node - building_from_patterns. Get inside it. You will see compile nodes.
Is houdini crashing for anyone else as soon as they connect a fbx file instead of the grid?

you have to upgrade to labs 19.0.657

@@krautagion6001 Try setting the primitive type of the FLOOR_Base grid to Mesh instead of Polygon.
