Glad to see you didn't have any issues. I had 5 or 6 slide locks in my first 200 rounds. Not sure if it will continue to be an issue. I have seen that is an issue with some other videos.
Well, I didnt have problems, until the 500 round mark. Then premature slide lock back. Sent it in to SS. just got it back and will cut a video about that experience.
First! Great review. How is the recoil compared to the 43x? Also do you think your grip was causing the slide to not lock back or was it the pistol? Did you try changing grip to see if that was the culprit?
I own four different models of Shadow Systems. I have well over 1,000 round through them all. I have not had one malfunction of any kind. JHP and FMJ. 👍
Any issues with ejecting the magazine for emergency reloads? Not sure if it’s my grip or that my palm is touching the base plate but i often need to hand strip the mag out of the original CR920 I carry.
Your support hand is riding high upon on the frame and pending down the slide release. I have the same problem 😅. If you weren’t having that problem with the 43x then probably run the OEM slide release on the Glock because it’s smaller than the Shadow systems slight release .
Great showcase, Bud👍🏽 I am currently in the market looking for my first CCW/EDC. My first choice was going to be the G43x MOS and then my coworker turned me on to the CR920x, and now I’m torn between the two! I mean, a 15+1 should be a no brainer vs a 10+1 but just like to hear your thoughts??
Depends on if your. Big guy or small guy. If smaller the 920 is a good option you can hide that thing deep. However if you really like the 43X (for the grip) go for the 920X the grip is just that much more. Other than that they fire almost identical, I don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Simple. Remove the slide and insert an empty magazine. Now look at the intersection between the follower cut and the slide stop. If it’s significant, then your riding the slide stop with your thumb. Take this from a pistol smith of 50-years.
Well not that simple, sorry. SS confirmed, with my video evidence, it is not my grip. I filmed one handed firing and the had multiple issues. SS asked me to send in my pistol, they swapped internals, and admitted they used parts that were not in tolerance. Again, sorry, not my grip. That video was posted about a month ago.
I loved the 43X platform. I will watch his video and see. I was not impressed with the CR920P at first. Then after the break in period I came around and like both. Stay tuned, I’ll get back to you.
@Mike-ox1bu I watched his and mine is just past the break in period. I have had zero malfunctions so far besides me occasionally holding the slide stop down just purely due to a high grip

Recoil is not bad. Approximately the same as G44X. Grip, maybe. I will check that out next time. I ride high on every gun.

Cool! Sadly a lot of us, with the new models anyway, Haven’t had that experience.
How much longer is the CR920x grip vs CR920 with 13 round mag?
About a finger width. Same at G43 vs 43X. I’ll do a quick Short Video and do a good comparison.

Nope they fall free. Sometimes I don’t get my thumb on the mad release if I’m moving fast.

Good advice. Yeah I ride high. Thanks man.
