some of the 70's best disco and dancing music. Not imitated today that is for sure. I was 15 when this hit the charts in 76. I loved the album it came off of, Arrival.

Old White people were really so sweet /natural. )I would rather send diamond and roses to anyone from legs and cos than lady Gaga. Lady Gaga looks so ordinary. Legs & Cos looks so unique.

The planning session - Have them dance in little silver bikinis. No, can't just have that, maybe attach something. OK, what do you want to attach? Yes.
Interesting observation: I've noticed that the cameraman started wussing out more on the angles with Legs & Go than they did with Ruby Flipper and Pan's People. Same is largely true of the costumes, which started becoming more conservative. Just compare the dance Pan's People did for "Love's Theme" compared to those with Leg's & Co. Recent documentaries all feature apologetic winging about the girls being too provocative. I bet that sort of thing was already seeping in back then.
12 twits disagree with me. I can live with that. But what he actually means is “Good old days when we could objectify women without being challenged for it”. They may have been the good old days for you but they certainly weren’t for many people, including women, who had to put up with prejudice and casual abuse. Being marginalised, judged and patronised by men who were often far less intelligent than them. Political correctness just means treating others as you would like to be treated yourself. What’s wrong with that?

Some wholesome, good old fashioned family fun right there.

Great year for music and how fitting this crimbo show was a salute to years number ones. Wow I was 11.

You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another
Anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life

Yes.
The Go Jo's (1960s), Pan's People (1970s), Legs and Co (late 70s +) in that order on TOTP.
