How is it I've never seen this video before? We played this song in high school band in the 70's. I remember marching down the football field playing it.
Probably censored. In the sixties even married couples could not be shown in the same bed. I guess this video is from the 70’s. It’s very suggestive for the day.
@@Mote78 It might have been, I might have to look up this "Hustle" video. I still have "The Hustle" on a knock off album, (not the original artist). I know one song my dad had on a record I listened to many times, when I was kid in the late 60's, I don't think the video was allowed on TV until 79.--ua-cam.com/video/SbyAZQ45uww/v-deo.html
@tecdessus That may have been the song this video was originally broadcast with, but we don't have proof that is what was playing while this was filmed. I think "The Hustle" suits this footage even more. I agree about one of the best outfits, too.
@tecdessus I know; I saw the version with "Hop Hug-Her" long ago. You left out the hyphen and you are missing a distinction; I know the dance was originally televised with "Hip Hug-Her" accompaniment. But I mean when the ladies were practicing, including the footage that was originally televised, we don't have definite proof that same song is what they were hearing in the studio then. It may be likely, but we have no proof of definite. It could have been an obscure non-hit that Pan's People all loved and motivated them in dance, but that the show couldn't get the rights to broadcast. The originally aired "Two Ronnies" clip was not broadcast live, right?
@tecdessus I'l trust then that you have proof of that about TOTP, so OK, thanks. I just meant it probably was the same for TTR but maybe not definitely.

They are 80 yo,lol👵👵👵👵👵
3 of them are dead ...
They would look a little e crinkled as indeed I do as I was from this era too making pop musicals and we all knew that creep was creeping around the boys and girls...his flunkies collected them and delivered them to his dressing room but nobody - BBC or Shepherds Bush Police Station would intervene but thy were all a rather 'Royale' lot...
ig 88: Great idea! Replyers: No need to be ageist; ig 88 was obviously referring to women SUCH AS those with these looks, style and fashion.
@@thegreenmanalishiyamadori371 The song came out in 1975 and I was 18 years old, I am now in my low 60's so I don't think they are in their 80's, high 60's maybe or early 70's...just saying.
I learned the Hustle at the CPO club at Rodman Naval Station in The Panama Canal Zone in 1976. Boy that was a looong time ago!
awesome mix vol. 3 here we gooo
I remember so well those outfits :)
I remember Pans people & legs & co were this highlight of my teenage years, slim beautiful girls with no ugly tattoos or face piercings dancing for our enjoyment. 🥰
these ladies were/are superb interpreters of songs, not just dancers
Hats off to Flick Colby their American choreographer.
Loved this song during the days of disco.....
Just down memory lane to my childhood! Still loving this tune in 2022!

I was born in 1971 and remember the ladies looking like this, all natural and great hair. Soo Pretty.. What has happened...
You must have been 6 or 7 watching this then you naughty boy 😂😅
@@chriswhite6610 I just remember all the ladies looking like this so much prettier..
@@chriswhite6610¹1¹
Guys started thinking they could become women 😂
@@tomg5304 they did???
0:12 wow! Cherry Gillespie is super cute. No bullshit.
I saw some of her films, such as Octopussy (1983). Although, at the time, I only knew her face, not her name.
Luckily, she is one of the few Pan's People dancers who is not deceased. ( ♥‿♥✿)
Always good music in my high school days.
Какая красота! Такие приятные лица. Сейчас такого не увидишь!
Много красивых женщин из России! 😊
absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!!!
This is and they are!!! 😛

♥️♥️♥️aaahwww the good ole music💙💙💙
Pan's People was a UK dance troop on Top of the Pops, a BBC1 TV show - late 1960s - mid-1970s. They were to showcase the top song of the week when the artist wasn't available. They did not have much time to prepare as the charts could change. Here are the dancers' names:
Ruth Pearson 0:14
Cherry Gillespie 0:11
Barbara "Babs" Lord 0:07
Louise Clarke 0:01
Patricia "Dee Dee" Wilde 0:09
This is a video history (brief) of Pan's People: ua-cam.com/video/x-bA5EkkSVw/v-deo.html
Note: Above link was updated due to the original having been removed (dead)
Thanks 👏😉
Cherry definitely the sort of happy lass I'd have a pint with then grab fish & chips on the way home.
If Louise's middle name is Nichole, then she'd be Louise N. Clarke.
This is 1975. One of the girls in this video is no longer alive. The rest of the girls are now about 70 years old or more.
@@VitaliyFlyers Very much wrong. Do you get a kick writing nonsense?
I was in Spain on the costa del sol when this came out in the 70’s such great times
God, how refreshing. No Botox, boob jobs, butt lifts or fillers. Not even much makeup. Just natural women. Take me back to the 79 s!
Man, I miss the 70s.
So ...do...I!
Me also..
An all time classic disco tune with the young man’s wet dream of the 1970s
I remember this!!! Tells my age!!!!
Probably the best song that Pans People Danced too. Excellent choreography as ever . Possibly best outfit too 😜
@tecdessus That may have been the song this video was originally broadcast with, but we don't have proof that is what was playing while this was filmed.
@tecdessus OK then. I don't have all their interviews memorized.
Oldie but goodie Love it They Just Don't Make Song's Like This Any More Were Did They All Go Still I Love That Song Even Today Well Done ✅ Keep Up The Great Work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
