Omg these girls are my cousins and they are just as beautiful, talented and kind IRL as they are in their show! They are always wearing their own clothes and I can tell you, they look professionally made! If you want to up your knitting game and find super cute modern ideas for projects, these girls are it! Congrats girls! We love you!
What sweet comments!
Enjoyed your podcast. It is so good to see that there is a younger generation of knitters/crafters coming through and the craft will not be lost. I am off to look at those sock patterns and will be subscribing.
Loved your pattern and yarn choices! So nice to hear from younger women with classic style. Can’t wait for more!
As a twin myself I love this podcast!
Please do an intro and let us know more about yourselves!
I learned to knit about 6 years ago when my twin learned to knit. She was taking a hiatus from work after a move and learned to knit...Our competitive spirit made me think "if she can do it I can do it!" (HA!)...so I used "Knitting for Dummies" and UA-cam to learn...she stopped knitting but I kept up with it!
I am finishing the "We are Makers" shawl...Hoping to tonight or tomorrow!
We will definitely do more of an intro next time! We realized after we were completely done that we hadn't even said our names, but didn't want to go back and redo it. Its so exciting to hear you and your twin have also found knitting! We 100% have that competitive spirit too! Hopefully she picks it up again. 😊
I wish i was a twin .... or had a girl sister🥰... I have 2 doughters that behave like Tom and Jerry... ...🤦♀️...where have i failed?...where?
Great episode! All of y'alls projects look amazing. 🧶
I totally think Knitting for Olive yarns look warmer on their website than in real life. So glad you said that. I thought I was crazy.
Really enjoyed this first podcasts. Already looking forward to your next one! Happy knitting!
Great first episode! I love your knits, beautiful colours, patterns and you are both technically excellent. Very enjoyable
Oh my gosh I am obsessed with the poet sock pattern, I’ve made two pairs so far and the fit on them is incredible! This was a great podcast, I look forward to your next episode!
I'm so happy I found your podcast, you are working on some lovely knits !
You are both such fun to listen to. Thank you so much.
My new favorite podcast!!
Congratulations on your first episode! Welcome to the knitting podcast community 🤗. Tammi, Wool and Wine podcast 🧶🍷
Ah, I was so excited to found both of you here! Followed you both on Instagram and love your aesthetic & projects! Subscribed right away! ❤
Lovely first episode! Looking forward to future episodes.
All of your projects look stunning!
I’d love to see an episode with all the patterns you’ve bought and never completed. I have a few! And I’d feel better about myself 😅
You are both great and although twins, each has your own fun personality - so, much fun and amazement to see how advanced you are with your knitting and sewing (love that you are doing some clothes also. ) These things will bring much to your lives, always. Not only your self satisfaction but the sewing/knitting communities.
I really enjoyed this podcast! Can’t wait for the next one! ❤❤
You two are so cute and fun to watch! Even my hubby said you two are nice to listen to 😂. Looking forward to seeing more ❤
Loved watching your 1st podcast!
G’day from South Australia 🇦🇺 really enjoyed your 1st podcast, good luck 🍀 will watch out for your next episode 👍🏻
Loved this podcast perfect companion when knitting or work!
How nice that you're making this videos... very nice to know you and be with you while knitting here, in hot suffocating Lisbon...thank you 🥰!
I’m a Mom of identical twins ! This was so sweet to watch and see you guys interact together! So glad I found you guys and great job on the first episode!
Ahh that is so special! Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤
I really enjoyed your podcast and you both knit beautifully!
Glad I found both of you can’t wait to see your futur content
Your projects are beautiful!
I was looking for inspiration after having been on a knitting hiatus. I was in the middle of a stranded yoke sweater when I left off. I loved your first podcast and have subscribed. I'll look for you again.
Lovely podcast and great knitting too.
Beautiful projects, lovely podcast!
Love your new podcast🎉! I can’t wait to see more. I hope you will share with us how you incorporate your knits into your wardrobe’s and also, if you get a chance, we would love to see some of your past makes. Thank you for giving us knitters another great podcast to watch. It is always great to find some new friends who have the same esthetic. Hugs!!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! We love finding new knitters and keeping up with everyone's projects, so this makes our hearts so happy! 🥰
I’m knitting the kumulus tee as well. I enjoyed your podcast ❤
Loved watching you and all your knits are gorgeous ❤
Being a twin myself, this was so fun and enjoyable to watch!
I started out knitting 6 years ago and found it too difficult, so I switched to crochet. After exclusively crocheting for 5 years, I have once again found knitting! Those years of crochet helped me understand the differences in fiber, material, and brands. Plus, it helped my understanding of how the skill works.
Now I'm teaching my twin to knit after being apart for a few years, and it has helped us to become closer than ever!
Love your channel! I'm looking forward to more content!
Its so heartwarming to hear that knitting is a bonding experience for you! It most definitely is for us, so its so special that others are finding the same! 🥰
GREAT first podcast!
I loved this podcast! Your knits are stunning, and I want to make them all!
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say! ❤
You ladies are beautiful knitters and great job on your first podcast episode!
That’s so thoughtful of you Anne, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Lovely to see you. Every success to both of you. Love from England 🏴
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say! ❤

I would never have known that this was your first podcast! Well done, enjoyable and a great length.
You both come across as kind and humble people that would be fun to hang out and knit sweaters together, great for a podcast vibe.
Happy Knitting.
Thank you so much!! That is so kind of you to say! We spend quite a bit of our time talking about our knits together so we're enjoying the idea of getting to share that conversation with others. 😊❤
X
Welcome to podcasting!🎉 ❤
Lovely! Thank you for sharing with the world.
What a treat to watch the two of you! All of your knits are beautiful. I’m currently knitting the cumulus tee in the same yarn but in fuchsia lol I think it will be beautiful! Looking forward to your next podcast! I’m watching from BC in Canada !
Ahh I have seen so many fuchsia knits recently and while we are normally some neutral lovers, that color is calling out! 💕
I am so happy to have found your podcast. Wish you were in my Town. Micheline from Montréal Canada ❤️
this was so nice! currently making the sisters romper for a pregnant friend of mine :) love how soft bb yarn is 🥰
That’s so thoughtful of you Naomi, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
Great video 👏👏 looking forward to the next update 😊🇬🇧
Love the first episode! I'm wokring on my silene top test knit
Ohh we will be so excited for that pattern to come out!! 😊
Like you, I’m currently working on smaller projects. (Socks and fingerless gloves) I do have several sweaters on my needles in various stages of making, but the smaller projects are getting my attention. I live in Arizona so it’s way too hot to have a large wool item sitting on my lap. Love your makes.
Glad I found you , my twin and I are identical and knit as well, there is nothing better than being half a twin and sharing same hobbies 💕💕 can’t wait for your next episode. Love all the way from Kuwait
Ahh its so special to hear there are other twins and sisters that knit together out there! ❤❤
I am delighted to have had this video recommended to me!! You ladies are beautiful and you both knit such gorgeous makes. Subscribed and already a big fan! Kindly, Judy xoxo
Thank you so much!! That is so kind of you to say!! ❤
Hello from Lower Alabama. So glad to find you! Great job with your podcast. Very well done. Love your yarn and pattern choices.
Thank you so much! ❤
Great show😊
Lovely first video, thank you. Liked, subscribed and looking forward to your next one 😊
Hello from a fellow knitting twin! My sister and I recently started a shared knitting IG, but this makes me want for us to start a podcast too!!!! I love it! Great job on your first podcast! I never would have known it was y'all's first, y'all felt very relaxed and natural.
Oh my gosh it would be so fun to see some other twin knitters!! You most definitely should! ❤❤
I saw your thumbnail and I thought I bet these girls are similar to the hey sister podcast sister’s were and I was right! Loved your video and can’t wait for the next one! So glad I have a new knitting channel to watch%
Oh my gosh, I hadn't heard of this podcast so I looked it up and am now super sad they aren't continuing! I will be enjoying watching some of their older videos thanks to your note. 😊
Congrats on your first video, loved watching! I’m from Nebraska- not too far! Excited to see more from you guys, especially hearing where you get your yarn from :)
Thank you so much! Not far at all! We have visited Omaha several times! :) We are blessed with 3 local(ish) yarn stores, Unwind Fiber, Yarn Social, and Yarn Barn near us! We will be sure to share those in an episode in the near future. 😊
@@thosetwinswhoknit that’s awesome, I’m from Omaha! We have a few LYS and a new one just opened up with all non superwash yarn, it’s called Warmth if you ever come to visit again. I’ve been wanting to visit yarn social!
I enjoyed your video. I too began knitting 🧶 at age 8. I will be 70 this month. Wonderful creative hobby!
That is amazing!! I cannot imagine what an incredible amount of projects you have been able to work through in that time! ❤
I’m 60 and have crocheting since 8 started knitting in my 20s.p
Great job ladies! Can’t wait to see episode 2! Would you mind sharing how many balls of Sandnes Garn Line you used to make that bag? I have some left over from another project and might just have enough if I stripe it.
Of course!! For both of us, it took 3 skeins, but there was not a lot of extra leftover so if your gauge is a lot bigger it might take more.. but you could also shorten it just a bit and it would really only need 3 skeins! :)
I Loved your podcast and look forward to more episodes! Your socks were all absolutely GORGEOUS and now I want to try lace patterns. I'm working on a Mini Mock Neck Tank by Jessie Maed and enjoying the pattern.
All of Jessie Maed patterns are so good! Especially for the summer season! I always find lace looks a lot fancier than it feels to knit, you should go for it!😊
Loved your podcast! My mom also taught me to knit and crochet since I was 7 :) I have been wanting to make both the Champagne cardigan and the Seasons cardigan, yours look beautiful 🖤
Thank you so much!! They are both such classic patterns, you really couldn't go wrong with either! 😊 Its incredible you know both! Rachel knows the basics of crochet but we pretty much stick to our knits most of the time. ❤
I am also an identical twin and I knit, my twin doesn't. So, I'm happy this was recommended to me.
Very nice video. Really enjoyed it ❤ hope you continue. I’m working on the Anker Sweater by Petite Knits. Great summer sweater.
Rachel (left) has knit that sweater! It is such a beautiful design!
Enjoyed your podcast ! well done, the sound was good, you both were clear about what yarn was used and pattern names, loved how nicely you showed the project and the fabric that was created...did you tell us your names? look forward to more of your knitting chatter. Best of luck!
No we didn't, but I am Rachel (on the left) and Jessica is on the right. We will do a better introduction next time. :) Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤
Lovely podcast! You’re local to me, so exciting to find local knitters!
Ahh that is so exciting! We don't have many knitting friends in person, mostly our knitting community is online so it would be so exciting to have a KC knitting friend! 😊
I agree so much on the Chiaogoo needles! It adds so much to experience. They are soooo smooth and fast. I'm at the point where if I need a size that I don't have a in my metal Chiaogoos, I will go buy some even if I DO have the size in my wooden needle set. 😅 Knitting with the wooden needles just leaves me longing for the metal ones the entire time I'm knitting. So yeah, 😂 I resonated for sure with that. Glad youtube recommended you to me! I am a fraternal twin, but she definitely doesn't have the knitting addiction I do. Subscribed. ♥️👍🏻
I just recently decided I am going to do the same! I was trying to save the money, but the wooden needles made me not want to work on a project and I just didn't want something so minor to stop me. So I definitely resonate with that too! 😅 Ahh it is so exciting hearing from other twins, even if maybe the knitting addition isn't quite as strong! 🥰
I really enjoyed your podcast! Greetings from Switzerland 😊
That’s so thoughtful of you Anja, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I'm so excited I found this video!! The projects you're both wearing are gorgeous!!
Thank you so much! That is so kind of you to say! ❤️
I enjoyed your podcast a lot! Great interaction between you. I would love to see you try on your FOs so we can see how they fit. Looking forward to your next episode.
Thank you so much! Trying on FOs is definitely something we will want to incorporate in the future, although in this summer heat the wool sweaters might not make it long! 😅
I really enjoyed watching your podcast. Your pi top is beautiful. You have inspired me to make one. I have just finished the Audrey Top and the Mini Mock Neck Tank and looking for another summer knit - even though it is still winter here in Sydney, Australia. I am still working on the Cumulus Tee - it has turned out a bit larger than i was expecting as my gauge on the Knitting for Olive Pure Silk stretched out a lot in the garment than it did in the swatch. I just finished my third version of the Sorrel sweater and that was a great knit. If you enjoy knitting with mohair, that one is a winner. If you choose a fingering weight yarn with some flecks, they pop through really beautifully but subtle. I am tashbalaz on ravelry if you want to see. I also have a UA-cam Channel Mostly Knitting. Looking forward to your next episode. Thanks for taking the time to record and share what you have been making.
Oh my gosh, I am so glad you shared this! I (Rachel) just finished the audrey top and am so excited to hear your thoughts on the pattern, so I'll be hopping over to your page soon! :) I think both of us are highly considering the Mini Mock Neck Tank and have been watching Nitty Natty as she's been making it! I have a feeling I will absolutely love your style based on all of the patterns you've mentioned here!! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your channel! :)
Great to sort of meet you both! Maybe you could take pics of the yarn and insert them so the speckles can be seen better? Your makes are lovely, would like to see pics of the fit, too! But all in good time, nice first podcast! ❤ I'm trying to relax and enjoy a nice lace shawl with some delicious yarn, a silk from darn good yarn. Oh I love Emma's yarns too!
That is a great suggestion! We will definitely try to adjust our settings and/or add photos so that its clearer next time, but we learned a lot for sure from this 😊 Thank you so much for your kind words! Happy knitting on your shawl, lace is always so beautiful in a shawl! ❤
Great podcast, as always, enjoyed all you have done and are doing. - I am more beginner - you remind me of the Scandinavian countries that start knitting in elementary school, we should do that here in the States♥️
Thank you so much! I have a friend who went to a private school and shared a story about how in elementary school, the last half hour of each day was quiet time, so students could choose to read, knit, or crochet during that time. Apparently not many of the boys were into reading, so most of the boys she went to school with were great knitters and crocheters. 🤣 I wish we had that at our school growing up!
Petrichor = Petri (as in petrify) - chor (as in core)
It's the smell of dust after rain xx
I’ve been following the two of you on IG for a while and loved see this video come up in my suggestions. Your champagne cardigans look lovely!! Since you’ve been knitting for so long, would it be an idea for you to share knits from past summers and how well they wear for you? Or summery yarns you’ve enjoyed ? Obviously just suggestions, I’m also super happy to watch your podcast episodes ☺️ I was knitting on my cottage cardigan while watching, it’s a really nice pattern so far !
Those are both great ideas!! If we do either, I think we will expose how much faster Jessica is at finishing projects than I am. 🤣I (Rachel) actually already have the pattern for the cottage cardigan! I thought at one point I had the perfect yarn for it, but changed my mind and hope to go back to that pattern soon. I'm sure yours will be beautiful! 💛
@@thosetwinswhoknit that’s interesting, from the episode it looked it was the other way round in terms of who finished more objects, I think. Which yarn did you think of knitting the cottage cardigan with at first ? Curious to see what you’ll chose for it (:
@@pagesandpurls Thats because I'm on summer vacation, but Jessica definitely has me beat most of the time! :) I had Line Weight, which is beautiful but I have found that it pills like crazy! And I wear cardigans quite a bit so it was not meant to be. But the pattern is so classic, it is definitely on my list! :)
Very nice podcast, you girls are so pretty, I am a subscriber for sure
I was really happy to discover a new wonderful podcast to watch. I loved watching you and will watch again. ☺️ one thing I’d like to mention, even though the video was very aesthetically pleasing to watch, it was hard to see the colors/ shades of yarn because the camera setting was so pale. Beautiful projects!
We agree!! Changing the color settings is probably the number one thing we want to change for next time, but making some mistakes feels like a right of passage into podcasting 😅 Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤
@@thosetwinswhoknit that’s so true! We learn from our mistakes and we evolve. ☺️ but all and all it was very successful first episode! ❤️ when looking back my first episode two years ago, I’m so embarrassed I can’t even. 🤣
It was so nice to find y'all's podcast ans I can't wait to see whats next. My twin and I also both knit. We haven't gotten i to podcasting, but we do have a shared knitting Instagram page. 😁
Ahh it is so exciting to hear about other twins and sisters bonding over this craft 🥰
Long I sound in Eiderdown. I first saw this word in a sweet babyboard book called 10 little fingers and 10 little toes where one of the little babies was wrapped in an eiderdown. Then I found out what it was when I read Ola by Ingrid and Edgar daulaire. It is the downy feathers found in the nests of eider ducks and used as a filling for quilts or pillows. So there you have both a good children's book list and your trivia for the day😊😅
Loved the podcast!
Ahh I feel like this is going to help me remember this now! I had not heard of Eiderdown till seeing that color name, so I learned something new from your comment! 😊
Hi from Overland Park, KS!!! Where do you both like to knit around KC? I just finished a Cumulus Tee in Sandnes Garn Tynn Line in Powder Rose. I incorporated sequins in the I-Cords which came from the Crafty Jackalope. It's a lovely piece.
Oh that would be so stunning!! We love us some Tynn Line, Unwind Fibers in Lees Summit has a great selection of it right now. 😊 Most days after work we just sit and knit in front of the TV, but we do love a good coffee shop! Billies Grocery and Messenger are always some popular ones if we can get around early enough to beat the rush on weekends! If you have recommendations on the KS side we would love to hear them!! ❤
So glad I found your podcast I am an identical twin too😅
Really enjoyed your podcast. Look forward to more. Please can I ask ifbyou can brighten the color of your video. The current setting shows the Astrid dress as a yellow and ever project was so dull so difficult to appreciate the finish objects. Brighter would be so much better
We are hoping to adjust that too! It reads very cool on my screen as well, so that is something we will try to adjust in the future. Thank you so much for sharing! ❤
Lovely to meet you both. Yes Please introduce Yourself’s in the next podcast. Just a little tip for the button bands on the Champagne Cardigan, technically bands are knitted in 2 needle sizes smaller than the body as they are there to hold your garment together, so to speak, especially the main button band, it needs to be firmer so it will sit flat, knitting it in a larger needle will give it stretch and won’t sit properly and as you wear it, it will stretch even more so, and even more when you attaché buttons. Hope this helps. You both are Beautiful Knitters. ❤❤
Thank you so much! That is very helpful! The champagne cardigan recommends knitting on a size US 7 for the main body and US 2.5 for the button band, which I think is a bit too small for us, so having a size reference of 2 sizes smaller is very helpful!
Wow, you are both such talented knitters! How much time do you spend every day knitting? You guys have made such amazing projects in a short amount of time! Subscribed. 🙂
Thank you so much! My honest answer would be an embarrassing amount of time. 😅 I would say we both try to have at least an hour of knitting time a day, but sometimes on the weekends its much more.
I am really enjoying your podcast! Please tell us your names and where you live in the Midwest (true confessions I am pausing the video to comment so you may have done this) and I like the way you talk to each other and the camera so it’s like knitting with friends. Nice job!
We will definitely do more of an intro next time! I, Rachel (writing now!) am on the left and Jessica is on the right. We are both in Kansas City! 😊 Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤
Hi, I am also a identical twin, but my sis does not knit, I have tried to teach her,but I am left handed, and she is right, so it’s is the cast on! We end up😂laughing so hard ,Can’t do it! We get stuck there, I knit continental, I love your socks! Love Petite knit and Sari - Luna knit. Watching from B.C., where are you two?
Ahh its so neat hearing from other twins! We're from Kansas City, we'll definitely add that in next time! 😊 Amy from NE Knits podcast is left handed so she might have some tips or tricks! It sounds like you two have a good time regardless! ❤
Oh I forgot to ask - I was wondering how you style the fabulous socks you make? Do you generally just wear them at home or what kinds of footwear do you wear them with?
To be honest, we usually only wear them at home unless they are plain vanilla socks, but we both just enjoy the process of sock knitting so much we keep making them, even if they don't get worn out of the house a lot. 😊
Nice to find you girls. Where in the midwest are you? I moved from Michigan to Ireland by myself about 8 years ago, but all my siblings, my children and my grandchildren live in southern Michigan
Oh my gosh thats quite a move! We are both in Kansas City, but have a good friend from Michigan we met in college so Jessica has gotten to visit and hopefully we both will get to visit Michigan soon! 😊
Lovely knitting and a fun podcast! I wanted to follow you both on Ravelry, but Rachel's is cut off in the description box above...
Also your volume was really low... but I wasn't listening on airpods today just on my laptop... maybe people using earbuds won't have that issue :/
I really want to get into socks... there are so many gorgeous patterns! Those Poet socks are absolutely beautiful! :)
Thank you so much! We love adding people on Ravelry! ❤For Rachel, the handle is rachelannjacobs. Thank you for that suggestion! I think we are both somewhat quiet speakers but maybe there is a setting that can be played with for next time if others have the same issue.
@@thosetwinswhoknit Thank you both! I am looking forward to seeing all your makes :) I totally get the being 'a quiet speaker' thing lol
Congrats on a good first podcast! But did you introduce yourselves? If so, I missed it. And also, look into the camera. When you watch yourselves on the monitor it seems like you are talking to someone next to me. Your projects are beautiful!
Thank you so much! For our first podcast I feel like we learned a lot and hope to use these suggestions next time, so this is much appreciated! We realized after finishing we forgot to even say our names, so we will be sure to next time! 😊
Love your podcast… where did you purchased Knitting for Olive yarn?
Thank you so much! ❤We usually make a bulk order together and order directly from the KFO website, but shipping is expensive.. Since we split it, its not usually so bad but its not a purchase we make all the time..
@@thosetwinswhoknit thank youuuy
Hello, I'm binding off the I cord for my uptown top while watching you guys. Just curious (my grandma's are both twins, not to each other 🤪) are you identical or fraternal? Guess the lader but was just curious... My grandma's are one of each
We actually don't know! When we were younger, our family doctor thought we were identical, but we would have had to do a blood test at the time and didn't want to. Now that we're older a lot of people can tell us apart really well, so maybe not identical? Someday maybe we'll find out! 😊
Enjoyed your knits. I’m currently just finishing a no frills sweater by petite knit. A nice and simple staple piece. It’s my second. Happy knitting 🧶 from Scotland 🏴 . Plenty use for knitted items most of the year so I’m lucky I’ve lots of options to choose at any point for my hobby! Seldom too hot.
Love all your makes beautiful girls, great podcast, but your last cardigan is inside out its the other side that faces out, because a fishermans sweater is not smooth it looks more thicker n chunkier, its gorgeous though. Ive been knitting and crochet over 50yrs. But well done on your podcast. I have just started mine in memory of my granddaughter, loopy loop. I have the cumulus tee pattern. I will like amd subscribe and share ❤
Your sound is really low.
I enjoyed your podcast. I subscribed. One suggestion though, don't bend over out of the camera view.
Whilst you look alike, you don’t really look identical. My twin sisters are identical but they also are changing as they get older and don’t look as identical as they did as children. I really love your socks and compliment you both on your knitting talents. Hope to see more of you both
I didn't realize you two had started a podcast, my friend just told me that you had mentioned me and our KAL!
how fun! I really enjoyed watching & thanks for planning on taking part in our #summerstripesKAL 🤎
Of course! We are so excited to share what we finish for it and always enjoy your channel so much! 💛
