Both are very important to me. The Rolex series comes from my head and the Patek series comes from my heart. That's why I'm lucky to have Mike and Brian on those shows to bring the other complementary element to the discussion. Best, Tim
Thank you, Jamie! We're going to do this again in the future. I'd love to shoot a follow-up with John concerning post-2000 milestone watches. Modern-era watches are a favorite of mine, and I'd love to hear a scholarly view on watches that are mostly too new to benefit from the kind of texts and reference works often devoted to older models. Best, Tim
It’s always a treat to see John Reardon. He is definitely a wealth of information for the Patek brand. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Patek. I enjoy and continue to learn from him through his company…..Collectibility.
THANK YOU so much to the legends at Watchbox making this amazing Perpetually Patek episode. John Reardon is an incredibly champion to the brand, I enjoy every second listening to him. The idea of a Perpetual Calendar with the handwritten design of the 5212 Weekly Calendar. WOW! On multiple occasions I've imagined what a realistic evolution would be of the 5212, if they should make a gold cased version with reversed colors (black dial white writing), but it never occurred to me that you could evolve the 5212 by taking the handwritten dial and moving it onto a new complication. What a beautiful idea!
Hi Philip, thank you for this kind feedback! I share your enthusiasm for some kind of QP evolution of the weekly calendar. Let's hope it happens! Best, Tim
Another great series by Brian, Tim, and today’s guest John. Tim’s knowledge and Brian’s preparation highlight every episode of Perpetually Patek, and I’d also like to thank the behind the scenes video team today. Very nice choice of venue, great close up shots, b roll, and smoothness of 47 min video. And one more thing, as we’re covering many episodes, you might feel like we already covered many parts of Patek, but please keep them coming! A small guest, collector, or any other topic in this series would be appreciated. Thank you for another great video!🎉🎉🎉
This is probably one of the top 3 episodes produced by this channel ever. So much better than the usual episodes with stoonads from south jersey flexing their basic rowleks.
My goal from day one was to make this the "Patek Philippe" of WB series. Brian's access and opinions combine with fantastic guests to make the recordings a pleasure. And when the episodes are well received, that makes it easier to book major guests for subsequent features. I'm looking forward to new guests, locations, and collection showcases in 2023. Best, Tim
Brian, Tim, what a treat this "Perpetually Patek" Series has become...wait for it with excitement every month, thanks for inviting John, who is one of the most knowledgest persons I know in vintage Patek. Keep on with the good work...
Thank you, Roberto! I love shooting this series with Brian, and Patek is one of my personal favorites. It's a real bonus that we have the opportunity to bring in industry stars like John to be part of our features. I'm scheduling a podcast with John on Patek calendar watches, so look for that over on Google and Apple podcasts soon. Best, Tim
This is the type of episodes for collectors. All about passion, history and craftsmanship. The reason why you started collecting in the 1st place. With all the noise, you somethimes lose the reason why you started collecting but when you see this interview, you remember.
Phenomenal show! great collaboration and natural intelectual interaction between John Reardon and Tim Mosso👏🏽, would love to see more, specially John Reardon’s personal Patek Philippe collection. And maybe one show featuring your Pontiff’s Pontiff Dr. Archibald Chesterfield the Third, AC3!
Thanks for supporting our series! Patek is a universe I adore, and it's been fun to work with Brian through our first year of production. I don't know whether we'll ever host anyone named "Stern" on the program, but we can dream! In the meantime, look forward to fun new features as we evolve the PP format in 2023. Best, Tim
That's why I get silly with money when watches are involved. If I had the head for investing that I have for watches, I'd be retired already! This show was rife with emotion. Best, Tim
Pro tip for Alfred E. Newman: When you have the Pontiph of Patek on the show, have some respect and wear a suit like a grown up, instead of this roman sharf/backpack dealer outfit. Why not alsa wear flip flops so you're really comfortable? Very surprised this other bookyak stopped wearing his stoopid sunglasses on top of his head.
1h of John and Tim, what a treat! So nice to see this collaboration. More of that please!
Fantastic interview/ conversation! I could listen to you all talk with Mr. Reardon for another hour. Thank you!
I only have good things to say about John. I've never bought a watch from him but he has always given me his time for a chat. Thanks 🙏
He's a real gentleman and a scholar of watches. This feature was a pure pleasure to shoot, and we hope to have him back soon.
Best,
Tim
Same here. I haven’t bought a watch from him yet but he has graciously responded to my questions I have emailed him. He’s a gentleman.
John is a true collector and a joy to listen to. Keep up the great content!
The Patek and Rolex series are absolutely top notch. Well done!

Epic collaboration! John is a pleasure to deal with an absolute treasure trove of Patek knowledge 👑

Cannot thank Tim enough for correctly pronouncing Patek - the polish way. John Reardon, absolute patek legend.
I do my best to improve. When I started in the industry, I wasn't nearly as polished!

46:13 wow, the 5064a is also my first Patek and the one I am most emotionally attached to!!!!

John is a Patek legend
Love John Reardon, love collectibility. Love watchbox! Currently rocking a white gold ellipse 3546 and a steel aquanaut 5165A 38mm!
Great watch talk. John Reardon is a living legend in the watch world. Cheers, Amintas
Wonderful delve into the history of Patek ..
This one was really good thanks
Great Questions Brian. Great Show. - your friend in Midland 😉
It simply doesn't get better
Amazing person
hard to believe this wasn't recorded in 1982. ( Tim and Brian look teleported )
I hope John finds time to come out with a new book and to update Patek in America and to reprint another batch.
That 19:25 "ooh" came straight from the soul

Bravo gentleman. Thank you watchbox.
Greed results from an irrational longing for what you don’t need.
