Great video and here is why: you get straight to the point, no bs and hesitations, your speed is quick but not so fast that I have to replay segments which is awesome, and you covered 4 different fish, where and how to fish them, live bait, fishing rods, lines, hooks and lures in under 6 minutes. I love it. A+++ and thanks!
like others said, well done. i'm an old fisherman which mainly do saltwater and thought of checking out the basics of lake fishing. you did well. straight to the point. nice video editting and the recap/summary a touch of genius.
"Welcome to your first flying lesson. So to start go ahead and preflight the F16 for a standard cold start while we're talking and I'll run you through the mission brief and rules of engagement for this theatre.."
Man, I just found your channel today, and I have to say, just 5 minutes of you, teaching the basics, gives me way more confidence than hours of watching other famous youtubers. Your videos feel like honest info and spot on. Thank you for sharing this!
My VERY experienced friends are asking me to go, and I'm so embarrassed that I don't know what I'm doing. I know it will end with them making fun of me forever. Ugh.
This man is a legend. I went from buying unnecessary stuff, spending 100$ every trip, to spending less than 10$ per trip, all from watching him. We miss you Zach
Fantastic information. I have been fishing about 3 times in my life and just with friends who set my stuff up for me. Never have they given me this much information in the hours of fishing I have done with them that you have in 5 minutes.
awesome video on beginner techniques. I have been thinking about doing a video for the last few days because its crazy how many channels have bad or overwhelming information in videos focusing on beginners. Its good to see a video that isn't telling you to spend hundreds of dollars on gear and lures to start fishing. Especially since often times the most effective bait is live.
Best beginner video out there! Huge niche out there for beginners! You were concise, gave all relevant information and didn’t use complicated terms. Told us the pole set up, kind of fish/were they hangout and how to get them. THABK YOU!!
Thanks for this. My toddler is crazy excited for fishing opener this weekend. I haven't been fishing in over 30 years, so I was looking for something a refresher. Will be hitting a few docks on Sunday's family run.
I caught my first bass yesterday with a worm! Which is August 25 2019and I also caught my first perch yesterday with a worm! So I casted out my rod with a worm on it and I caught my second bluegill ever in my life and then I released it and then 15 seconds later I caught my third ever bluegill and then 40 minutes later I caught my first perch, 13 minutes later I caught my first bass! I caught all of them with live worms! Btw my very first fish ever that I caught was a bluegill, and I went fishing for the second time ever yesterday and thats what I caught
I love how the video is straight to the point. It even starts with how you should go to your bait shop first in a sort of How to Fish for Dumb, Moronic Idiots kind of way. Very charming in a cool way.
I haven't been fishing in like four years the first time i went fishing when i moved to Florida was a disaster. I am just now getting my kyack ready to do some real fishing so thanks for the much needed advice I am way out of touch. Well done!
I appreciate this I'm not too good at catching anything usually I'll see the fish jumping out the water but i never really catch anything you explained a lot thanks
This is the Absolute Best Video on how to catch fish I had ever seen. Its not a bunch of fish catching with no knowledge of what and how. Wow, Really WOW. THANKS MUCH. DO MORE OF THE SAME PLEASE. . . I am subscribing,
Great video young man! Im fixing to return to fishing and just wanted to check out some "refresher info." I feel absolutely ready to go out and pretend I know what I'm doing! Thanks!
My fiancé and I are about to start fishing together she plans to teach me but I’m the type of guy that likes to research hobbies. I gotta say this video will be very beneficial for someone who’s never cast a like since they were 8.
Just wanted to say thank you for your straightforward and easy to understand videos. I have recently retired and wanted to try freshwater fishing. I have had great success thanks to your insight and knowledge. I guess you can teach a old dog new tricks : )
I really appreciate this video! I've been to lakes and cast my line, but never caught anything aside from a sunburn because I was never taught what the heck to do, aside from how to cast😅
Great video brother. This covered it all on a not so short but not so long video and kept it interesting from beggining to end and it’s all understandable. Thanks for posting and for your effort you’re putting on letting beginners know the basics. Congrats on the vid again bro. Happy fishing
I enjoy your fishing videos more than the rich guy shows on TV that have $30,000 worth of boat and electronics and thousands more in gear. They "catch" fish and they should, with everything they have. I'm much more impressed with the real world take on it. Back in my younger years (I'm 53) I used to watch Virgil Ward and Harold Ensley on TV. They were real the real fisherman that started it all . Great video and I got a variety pack of those rooster tails at Walmart. I can't wait to try those out this week. Thanks.
good job zack. one thing i tell beginners is if you can afford it, and i know many can not, but if you can, hire a guide for a half day. ask around, find one who is "beginner friendly", and you will not regret it. they will gladly share tons of info with you while you are fishing with them.
Good job young man...I was on the phone watching something about setting up my sonar and your video came up...I couldn't have put it better for beginners! Great job!
excellent video... I haven't fished since I was a little kid and have forgot most everything. I'm sure I'll watch this one a few more times. Thank for taking the time to make it!!
First day s Fishing in well over a decade and had a heck of a time with bluegill spitting the hook. Thanks for the tip about smaller hooks. Hopefully next time will be more successful
My daughter and I are going out to a kids fishing event this weekend (we are both learning) and your videos have been VERY helpful! Thanks! PS- As a mother, I want to remind you to protect your skin and eyes from the sun. I haven't noticed any long sleeves, hats, or sunglasses. 😉
hot dogs are very good for catfish i was fishing at a river some people left a full pack of hotdog we used them all and caught 20+ catfish because of how we broke up the hotdogs
Excellent video and very informative . I’ve not fished since I was about 17 and finally getting back into it and yes I need the info you provided it’s been so long lol thanks man .
Well-organized and concise overview. Excellent presentation full of useful information for the beginner and initiated alike! I am impressed. You earned a subscriber in me and I hope to see more of your videos soon!
Also I like to use light fishing line. 4. -. 8. Pound test. But always tie a 1. -. 2. Foot long leader line to your main line. Using a simple to tie Surgeon's Knot. For freshwater I like to use 20 - 30 pound test. Tying this to your hook. Your line will almost never break this way. And you still get the benefits of using a lighter line.
i must be something before a beginner because the only word i only understood was "bass"
“Bait” is a pretty self explanatory term
Lmfaooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Like the guitar?
Lmao
I’m dead man 😂😂😂😂😂
Great video and here is why: you get straight to the point, no bs and hesitations, your speed is quick but not so fast that I have to replay segments which is awesome, and you covered 4 different fish, where and how to fish them, live bait, fishing rods, lines, hooks and lures in under 6 minutes. I replayed a ton, he went really fast for someone who'd never heard of all that stuff before
I must need a pre-beginner fishing video.

shenro real question is what are you doing not owning a fishing pole.
Same here bro.
Your a loser with no life. Why would you even make that comment?.....
Cuz your a loser bro!!
@@Notbrandonlyfe thankyou!

"Welcome to your first flying lesson. So to start go ahead and preflight the F16 for a standard cold start while we're talking and I'll run you through the mission brief and rules of engagement for this theatre.."
We get it you think your a fighter pilot, but in reality you got a small dick workin at McDonald's. This was a good video .
39 yrs old and you've been the best teacher thank you my man.
Man, I just found your channel today, and I have to say, just 5 minutes of you, teaching the basics, gives me way more confidence than hours of watching other famous youtubers. Your videos feel like honest info and spot on. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm a complete biginner at 62 and can't wait to catch my first fish!
I'm 68. Never fished before. Now I want to learn everything I can.
My VERY experienced friends are asking me to go, and I'm so embarrassed that I don't know what I'm doing. I know it will end with them making fun of me forever. Ugh.

He’s okay, he just doesn’t upload anymore
Fantastic information. I have been fishing about 3 times in my life and just with friends who set my stuff up for me. Never have they given me this much information in the hours of fishing I have done with them that you have in 5 minutes.
If this was a beginner's video, I'm a fetus
lol
Then im a sperm.
@@johnp7790 I am no where to be found.
I've been fishing bass for a bit more than a year now and this is such great info, I feel like a baby fisherdude again.
@@johnp7790 then im the sperms future sperm
Can’t lie I learned everything I wanted to learn in this video. Perfect and quick.
Correction: Bluegill eat all your bait and your sanity
But they taste delicious ;) So much fun to fish bluegill.
The Gamming Dilo UA-cam so close to 150 subs you could help me out 🔥❤️
Penguin1290 not when it’s he only thing in the lake🙄
They are Satan's spawn

Nice tips. I recently got motivated and renewed my fishing license. I needed a refresher.

This is such an amazing video! I’m a 15 year old girl who’s bad at fishing and this helped me out so much!
A girl fish me,became my girlfriend, so i take her to fish.
Fish runs through her veins.
I guess her dreams are underwater. Good luck there.
this super late but i like how simple direct and short this was bro not like those boring ass 28 min long “how to get started” videos... thank you 🙏
Ive always wanted to fish the way the guy conducts himself is very professional thanks for getting me started i was told sandworms make good bait too
Dizzy Mareado so close to 150 subs you could help me out 🔥❤️

Been watching so many fishing videos the last couple weeks- this was the best one. Hell of a presentation.
I caught my first bass yesterday with a worm! Which is August 25 2019and I also caught my first perch yesterday with a worm! One of the most concise fishing "basics" videos I've seen. It's also the first one I've seen...but still very good.

You explain this so well, thank you I learned a lot.
What a kid! Clear understanding of the technology of tools that will help you to catch more fish!
That was damn near the most informative fishing video I have watched to date, great job!
5 minutes of just straight education in this video, had to watch it 3 times to get my all notes down.
Really good demonstration, i am literally a 1st timer and i will go ztep by step
Thank you, I watched your video before going fishing for the first time! You helped me caught 2 trouts and my wife 4 trouts.
Clear, Concise, and easily understood. A real pro at teaching.
Thank you!
Just began learning about fishing this morning, and it's way different than hunting game on land. Quite intriguing- thanks!
