This writer can't write without "resilience, shining eyes, determination, pride, confidence, and repeating jingoist phrases without apparent purpose beyond more words. There is no "meat" to the plot, no familiarization with characters. It's only names usually borrowed from history. I believe this writer can't be over 12 years old. Investigate something called a "thesaurus". I want to care about characters. I want to find drama. I want a plot. Repeating "bang bang bang" does not make a story no matter how many freaking eyes you shine with confident resilience.

Let's add "the tension was palpable". The writer also needs to learn that every noun or verb doesn't demand an adverb or adjective to give the illusion of substance.

He needs an intervention to force him to put the thesaurus away.

So they don't use ballistic projectiles, unless the author has redefined ballistic projectiles as concentrated energy beams. Mitchell asked three time if the guns were ready to fire, bad leadership, the guns should have been ready to fire before the confrontation. I got to around 13 minutes before the gag reflex kicked in.

you've got more fortitude than I. I've been putting all these channels on my ignore list since I accidentally listened to one months ago...and they just keep popping up and not going away.

More than likely, I'm guessing the aliens thought the humans only used ballistics and material armor, and thus the humans in the story surprised them with an energy shield as well as energy weapons. Either that or their serious determination was all that they needed to seriously win the fight through determination.
And yeah. I agree. It's weird to confirm weapons are set to go. Reconfirm. Re-re-reconfirm and then give the order to fire. Just, you already had confirmation that all weapons were ready to go and your shields were at 95% fully charged. So return fire... The story itself had issues with repeated word usage, and with flow of concepts. Almost like the writer forgot "did I have this character do this yet? Well, I'll have them to it again just to be sure." You could almost say, they were "serious" about their "determination" to make sure that scene was played.

As humans we already have plasma force fields though they wouldn't work in space unless the craft also ejected the gases to use. ua-cam.com/users/shortswMakv5GCcvk?app=desktop

Tactical brilliance? They sat static and traded blows , on ships that travel at great speeds at sub warp , they sit static and trade blows 🤣🤣

It didn't use heavy armor and ballistic weapons, though, did it? It used shields and energy beams lol

I'm sorry, but this is boring. Nothing original happens within the first twelve minutes and I'm not going to wait if it gets better.

In space, one cannot "hold the line", because it's all 3-D. While asteroid fields might be useful at times, intelligent attackers would come from "above" or "below" the plane of the ecliptic, so a spherical defense would be necessary.

Not the fault of the reader (or so I am guessing), but can we hear how Serious and Determined these people are some more? I mean, seriously, they are determined, and serious... and stubbornly determined and serious. Just, yikes on the repeated terminology of this story. How about Resolute? Or maybe unbending? They didn't flinched from the confrontation? They were unshakable? They doggedly pursued the adversaries? Stood firm?
