I’ve had my 17 1.4t for about 5 months now, love the car (5 speed and my dream has been a manual) starting soon with the uni cai, then the downpipe followed by the stage 2 tune. I don’t want to risk the reliability as it’s my daily driver and it’s gonna have to be my daily for a few years at least. Would you honestly recommend going much further than those 3 besides visual mods
That’s it maybe upgrade the coil packs . Your reliability will be good. You might need a clutch if you go stage 2 tho jus a heads up. Enjoy the car for me !
What about a 2013 tdi Jetta I’m trying to get more turbo and as much power as I can without blowing the engine so far I have just a .5 tune and a turbo back straight pipe
Tdi aren’t meant to make a lot of power. They are meant to be very efficient, reliable , and make lots of torque. You can get a tune with a downpipe and intake to get more turbo noise and power
you seem reliable for anything jetta related, i want to get a better turbocharger for my mk7 but idk where to start, what do you recommend and any tips for adding hp in general?
Did you ever replace the turbo. Mine is leaking and idk what to upgrade it to. Or if it’s worth it. Ever since I tuned it to stage 1+ unitronic it’s started leaking a year after. I just need advice. I love the car I just don’t know what to do
nope never! I don't think it's worth it tbh. I would say sell it because a turbo replacement is not worth it. Spend money for the same power just doesn't make sense to me. It's tough I kknow.
The good ole days

These are RPF1s, I got them from 5x112.com a long time ago for like $800. They’re probably $1000 now idk

What Jetta do you have specifically? 1.4T?
@@DrivenByChris yes the 1.4
@gavinm.9361 Not worth it. But if you have thousands of dollars to blow, you can get a hybrid turbo.
@@swim9361 “ RTMG turbo “ makes turbos specially for the 1.4T. would definitely be cool to see and more importantly fun .
How do you get so much turbo noise!
It’s the combination of all the bolt ons. After I installed the last one it got so loud I love it
@@DrivenByChris mine is silent. Yours sounds awesome.
@@mthobbies5885 thanks fam, get the big bore turbo inlet and an open intake!
@@DrivenByChris sounds like i need a big bore now
@@jaxonbutters1243 yes indeed
