You and Rod blew two men and there fishing rods out of the water. I'm going through chemo and enjoy you and Rods videos alot. If you have a small boat I could show you how to fish Langford Lake for the big ones trolling my fly no charge. I'm doing well but would like to pass on this knowledge. Fished there since 1973.my fly is of my own design but based on the first fly written about and of simple construction. If I don't Lando 5lbers. a day it would've slow fishing. April 15thish to July 15ish. June is awesome. I gave old John a fly and Had him troll beside me 6lber later he gave me a bunch of Cuban cigars and 2 shots of scotch. A 6lber sure put a smile on his 85 year old face. He looked like he was a teenager. I'll have my Covid shot by then.
Hey Team Hippie Fish! Long time no talk, I've been on a little mental health hiatus, so I haven't been as active on here as I'd like to be. Thanks for always supporting our filming projects, we appreciate you.
Oh yeah scoop the manderine sauce on top when flipping skin side down. It will be homogeneous and makes them taste like Spring Salmon. Might work on bottom fish 🎏 aswell
Looks like your on that Bajo reef. Just off the edge has unbelievable herring schools and large Springs in the summer. Looks like the guide is looking after you guys well. Nice fish and looks like you had a lot of fun. I've been gearing up for trout this spring for some large rainbow's Might get out to East Sooke for some black bass maybe a Salmon. Keep up the good work and good luck through this pandemic.
I think lingcod are the best eating white fish we have around here. We fish for them in the San Juans with similar gear but lighter and depths from 20-80 feet. It is nice because you can safely release the rockfish at those depths and the yellow eye rockfish are deeper than that so no bycatch. We pitch 2-3 ounce lead heads with large curly tail grubs into the edge of kelp beds as we drift along the island. I compare it to heavy duty bass fishing.
Hi Kitty, Love your videos. My daughter and I will be spending a month in Vancouver this summer. Any suggestions on where to stay that’s close to fishing and mushroom foraging? Also any recommendations on affordable fishing charters would be appreciated.
Hi I would like to give you a cooking tip for trout. Add a can of peeled canned manderines juice and all to the fillets. Skin side down fist. With your regular spices herbs olive and butter. I was to cheap to by lemons and waste juice. OMG. I used to keep it a secret but know I'm on chemo I'd like to pass it on Enjoy and hey I can still fish better than ever so all is good. Still hide recipe from cutthroat video though. Love those prettiest of all fishes in my opinion.
Nice video, I noticed you were losing a few in the beginning. Your hook up ratio will go up if you set the hook with your hand above the reel and not below it. Looks tasty though.
oh come on, now you're just playing games with us. ok ok i'll wait, two more hours haha. will be interesting to see what you guys do as i so far only troll for halibut.

Like it very much when Yu guys do shows with halibut, rockfish, true cod, sole, & lingcod.
You're in luck Sunny! This summer we most likely have several ocean trips lined up, one which will be with the Murphy Sportfishing crew.
cool deal Kitty pulling up those barn doors
That is a perfect analogy Mark!
yeah that's the nickname some people use for halibut
Beautiful video. Thank you
Nice quality video.
Nice job Kitty and Rod:)

Interesting...!
Once you try spinning reels for bottom fishing you never wanna go back to those awkward level winds
Woah ms.k that's a realy good fish
Great catch :)
Great production. Great music. Really fun to watch.
And Kitty.
Aweeh thanks Jody! It was a memorable day that's for sure, and who doesn't like loading up on top quality fish for dinner!
Ohhhh man I want to eat all that lingcod!! Bummer that just looking at a wave makes me seasick🤢 Thanks for another awesome video!

Around here the ice is too thin to walk on, but too thick to fish. At least this way I get to see fish get caught. Thanks for another great video!
Subbed and liked. Fun trip! I wanna go there one day.
Keep working hard, Kitty!
Nice halibut, I actually just caught a halibut on my channel like a week ago.
Kitty says, I'm gonna do some serious fishn' on this show !!
😁
This is some of the best gear finally I can watch of people serious for halibut jigging. Sick of watching nobodies using ugly stiks.
Great video!!
What was the point of the mask exactly?
I think it is for keeping face warm.
That is what I found the good thing of wearing cotton mask
beautiful fish, thanks Kitty!
Hello Gridlessness! Great to see you out and about! Rod and Kitty are my fav fisher people!
Hi Kitty,

Another great video! Makes me want to come fish the Kyuquot.
Losing a fish right at the boat! I feel your pain! 😫
It was heartbreaking!

That was epic! Truly beautiful out there and the fish look great! I love the rock fish you released, it looks exotic to me lol.

Did you guys, or are you guys gonna, get your own 24' open water boat? 😁
🤭sorry ..
Thanks Kitty! That was some great jigging! Seems like no matter what hit it was a good fish. What recipe are you going to use when you cook your cod?
For lingcod and halibut, these two recipes are what we love:

It's so hard to set that hook with the left hand when you are used to setting the hook with the right hand
Piano music is not fishing music
There is nothing called fishingmusic exept the music of mother nature and screaming reels and 'expert' comments from other fishermen:)
Waaaah? I love piano music!!! :'(
@@KittyKanhoffen nothing wrong with that but who has a piano on a charterboat for sportsfishing:)
@@FishingwithRod hehehehe:))))
Why did you make that lady put a mask on in a boat out in the ocean? Shameful!
Imagine being so triggered by something that has absolutely no impact to your life, enough to leave a comment.
