This is why we use a rag (that we wash after each use) to shower. You have to get rid of the dead skin cells or they just sit on your skin until you exfoliate it off. Whenever we exfoliate with these, it never does that, because the rag is gently exfoliating us each time.
I can’t stand leaving wet rags in the shower, they start stinking and collecting mold. I like this thing better because of how thin it is. But it still gets stinky after some time
@@SugiesCookies That's probably because they're not properly rinsed and wrung out (to remove excess water) when you're done with your shower. I've never had a stinky or mouldy washcloth before.

Im North African and this washcloth we call it '' kessa '' and we used it for i don't know how much time but a lot of centuries for sure (maybe in another tissu or design) but i recognise this model in the video, it exists in green, red.. And i use it in hamam each week (romain bath) since i was child, my mama used the same model too... So i don't know, if it's really Italian and we was highly influenced by Romains or it's originally north african (berber) and they took it from us! In both possibility, it's a wonderful thing to the skin, for our wellbeing! The best thing in the world is to being clean and healthy, exfoliating not only for dead skin, it's good for drainage and blood circulation too! I just don't understand how people can live without doing this! ♥️ 😮😢😢😢
I tried the African net washcloth first and though it worked (it was just rough nylon from Amazon-so might hand gotten one that wasn’t authentic), better than my loofah I then got a Japanese exfoliating washcloth and OMG the difference. Add bio oil afterwards and use the new glass foot fille and you’ll be thanking me all summer long!!!😘😘😘👍🏻
As someone with ichthyosis, I must get one of these. Ichthyosis means my skin doesn't shed like normal people's skin. The skin cells like to stick together and flake and crack. I can exfoliate every day and still have skin buildup and calluses. 😢
I’m assuming it’s called ichthyosis because of the scaliness, right? That struck me as someone with lupus which got its name because the dermal version untreated can make you look like you were mauled by a wolf. Medical names 😅
Are you serious?.. There are literally hundreds or more Korean skin care products available & most have gone viral & right now Korean skin care is the best out of any brand even the most expensive can't top it. Google will help you find them.
This is also a part of Turkish culture, its name is kese. We use it in Turkish baths (the bath staff we call tellak do it for you with a relaxing massage) and in our own bathrooms. The first Turkish bath (Hamam) was built in the 14th century. So we've been using this thing for about 7 centuries. It is truly an indispensable thing.
This a north african exfoliating glove. It's been used in countries like Algeria and Marocco for decades in hammam bath. It doesn't come from Korea. Sorry 🤨
@@Gn-dc5lb It's similar only because a korean brand took the north african exfoliating glove and stamped its brand on it. If a UK brand sold "British Hanbok" it wouldn't mean that England created the garnement. It would only mean that british people stole the concept and made it look like it originated from the UK.
no…. that is NOT the same thing at all 😅microfiber is the opposite of what you want if you’re trying to exfoliate. you will have a ridiculously hard time getting ANY amount of dead skin off with microfiber 😭
A while ago I bought those, I think the same brand and everything. Not that much skin came off at all, except on my feet. I took this as a good sign that I was exfoliating pretty well with my loofa already. :)
I tried using exfoliating towels but they never really worked finally went to an Asian market spent $2 and now my body feels like it’s been to war and back after using it.
This is what we do in North Africa as part of our hammam/bath time routine. I personally scrub my entire body clean (at least once a week) until there are no more death skin cells left. After that I follow up with a nice deep cleaning shower. I can’t live without it.
I cant feel clean without these I use it on my entire body and God it makes my skin so soft helps with body odor for me at least and it has helped my skin conditions
I have used exfoliating gloves for like over a decade. Has everybody been walking around with dead skin on their body this whole time? Those exfoliating gloves you can get at the dollar store do the exact same thing and I’ve been using them for over a decade like I said. So if anybody doesn’t have the money or can’t order this specific exfoliating glove, Dollarama has them, but they’re shaped like a literal glove. And they work like magic!
I get my body wet in the shower, then turn the water off and wait a few min so my skin is damp, but not still super wet. This way there’s more friction and the dead skin comes off. If you do it under running water it doesn’t work as well.

@@boinkadoinkkyeah I noticed I have to soak for it to come off & it works better without soap, so I usually end up soaping up twice. Once when I first get it then once after I exfoliate. I use my hands & nails to do it tho so it takes so long, cuz every exfoliating brush or towel I’ve used so far is too ruff for my skin & hurts me 😭
Im North African and this washcloth we call it '' kessa '' and we used it for i don't know how much time but a lot of centuries for sure (maybe in another tissu or design) but i recognise this model in the video, it exists in green, red..
😮😢😢😢
I'm Iranian and it's the same.
Many people use this and have damaged their skin due to excessive use of it.
We call it keese.
Dr. Youn, he's the best, love him!
I need this omg
Amazing! Bought after seeing this video. I sloughed so much the first use, I was shocked. I was really impressed.
In africa and spain they have it too❤❤❤
Yep, I have one of these and it absolutely works! Nothing else I've used works as well.
😯 *looks this up on Amazon so I can order it now*
Same and I did order :) it will be delivered today 🥳
I grew up using (and still use) washcloths. Works the same way. Use with every shower and bath.
I tried the African net washcloth first and though it worked (it was just rough nylon from Amazon-so might hand gotten one that wasn’t authentic), better than my loofah I then got a Japanese exfoliating washcloth and OMG the difference. Pair that with the pre shaved “Billie” purple bar of soap from Amazon and I’m a newborn now!!! Add bio oil afterwards and use the new glass foot fille and you’ll be thanking me all summer long!!!😘😘😘👍🏻
With that information I going try those things you use.
I bought these as sticking stuffers a few years ago. They are now the no1 requested Christmas & birthday item.
Does it hurt?
Is it pretty mild? Do you also do retin A over your whole body
😢 hope this helps.
@@V.E.R.O.It can be, all depends on how hard you Scrub. I love mine, I have the wash cloth/mitt and a long back scrubber
Its so helpful in preventing ingrown hairs too.
I honestly wish we had more Korean skin care available here in the USA
Are you serious?.. There are literally hundreds or more Korean skin care products available & most have gone viral & right now Korean skin care is the best out of any brand even the most expensive can't top it. Google will help you find them.
As well as alot of gadgets
same bit in sweden
Amazon
Maybe you can find it in north african or middle eastern shops because this towel is also used there
I have this and i love it!!! Feels so good. I have never had seen much dead skin cells slough off.
this already happens to me sometimes when i dry myself after showering with a towel
I started using those a few years ago and they work so well
This is also a part of Turkish culture, its name is kese. We use it in Turkish baths (the bath staff we call tellak do it for you with a relaxing massage) and in our own bathrooms. The first Turkish bath (Hamam) was built in the 14th century. So we've been using this thing for about 7 centuries. It is truly an indispensable thing.
So true.. Me and my mom went to hamam every week.. Kese works so well ..
Went straight to Amazon and ordered it! Thanks
Where can I buy this?!
I purchased some, but was afraid to use them. I'll have to try them. Thanks 🎉
This a north african exfoliating glove. It's been used in countries like Algeria and Marocco for decades in hammam bath. It doesn't come from Korea. Sorry 🤨
Exactly! Ma3ariftsh 3lash kaygoulou l kissa mn Korea
This is literally the Korea brand. Believe it or not, different cultures have similar things 🙄
I love these clothes. I have been using them for over a decade coupled with the African net and I have smoke skin.
Where do you get them, I've never heard of them
Amazon have them or just google it that’s how I found it
Yep, I ise these once a week to take off old fake tan before reapplying. Works great! Plus it has made my keratosis pilaris so much better.
I need that 😧
I’ve been using these since I was a teen! 🤩
Does this exfoliate better than a Buff Puff sponge? I’ve been using the buff puff body sponge for over 20 years but I’m curious.
Yes. It’s much better at exfoliation. I replaced my Buff Puff with a glove version of this cloth and gave more to my daughters.
Starting using these thanks to a Korean spa in LA, now I use occasionally but keep up with my skin brushing. So good for the lymph flow!
Microfiber washclothes. You can get a 5 pack for 1.25 at dollar tree and they are perfect for this.
It's not the same thing !
no…. that is NOT the same thing at all 😅microfiber is the opposite of what you want if you’re trying to exfoliate. you will have a ridiculously hard time getting ANY amount of dead skin off with microfiber 😭
Microfiber cloths are not effective in cleaning your skin take a slide over it
A while ago I bought those, I think the same brand and everything. Not that much skin came off at all, except on my feet. I took this as a good sign that I was exfoliating pretty well with my loofa already. :)
I love mine! Instead of the mit kind I got the extra long strip!
Dear , may I ask where did you get the long one from?
I tried using exfoliating towels but they never really worked finally went to an Asian market spent $2 and now my body feels like it’s been to war and back after using it.
I freaking love these things
I'm Algerian and my great grandfathers were using this .. since FOREVER..
not Korean.. it's Turkish
I didn't know it's was turkish i thought it's was North african
@@BellaVevo08 yes North african got it from the Ottoman Empire
This is what we do in North Africa as part of our hammam/bath time routine. I personally scrub my entire body clean (at least once a week) until there are no more death skin cells left. After that I follow up with a nice deep cleaning shower. I can’t live without it.
I have a Japanese version. Very exfoliating
I just purchased the Japanese version . I’m excited to get it
I cant feel clean without these I use it on my entire body and God it makes my skin so soft helps with body odor for me at least and it has helped my skin conditions
That simple exfoliating towel is so effective! And its cheap too! 😃❤️
I bought these a while ago but it does nothing:( I guess I’ll take it as I’m too clean?? 😂😂 or I’m probably just not doing it right lol
I get my body wet in the shower, then turn the water off and wait a few min so my skin is damp, but not still super wet. This way there’s more friction and the dead skin comes off. If you do it under running water it doesn’t work as well.
@@mishfishy7645 yeah I usually would do it while my skin is pretty wet. I’ll try it the way you do, thanks!!
The Doc is adorable
That's why I don't have any wrinkles yet, I've always followed this Korean lady. She makes her own products and she cooks so good. I'm definitely going to get 1 of these facecloths soon. Thanks for the positive videos, see ya soon
I used this for the first time recently and it was actually amazing how much came off. My skin is so smooth now!! And my tattoos are much brighter
I was just thinking about this i didn’t want my tattoos to come off like a cheese grater 😭 (not literally coming off but yk what I mean) so ur tattoos are still fine?
@@doodlebob2508 haha I get you!! Not at all! They look really bright again like when they were first done, it’s just the dead skin that comes off ☺️
Nothing beats the Korean "Italy" towel. Other cultures have similar cloths and I've tried about almost all of them, but NONE comes close to Korean tteh-soo-guhn.
I have used these for years! They’re (usually) cheaper in local Asian markets if you have one near you.
Is this a repost? I coulda sworn I’ve seen you react to this before 🤔
Same.
In India we use a smooth rock doesn't hurt at all and is really really good it's like a tradition like people in India has been using it since ages .
Lmao.. Korean this Korean that.. I guess it’s a Korean brand but then trust me, Turkish Hamam and Moroccan Hamam had been doing this for centuries. 🤣
Source: literally trust me bro
@@fapfapfap1892 lmao I travel a lot so I know what I am talking about.
I agree, as a Turkish person, I've had showers with this for over 10 years.
@@GeorgiaAndrea lol are we debating which country is the first one to have an exfoliating scrub or something? I mean I have been using scrub towel in the US for a very long time (maybe not centuries since the US is not that old). The idea is just to exfoiliate your skin lol. And i mean It's possible for different cultures to have similar items/practices. For example, sauna. Korean have it, Japanese have it, some European countries also have it. If people said, for instance, a korean sauna. It really doesnt mean that korean own the sauna invention or that other cultures don't have a sauna. It just mean that korean is known for it and it's prevalent in their culture.
@@vjbkbkllhgvjhbki5019 Your last statement: I disagree if they’re known for it. No they’re not widely known for it. They just put the name Korean everywhere which I just find annoying. Korean chilli, Korean butter.. like come on.. just call them what they are and stop putting a country’s name in front of it. With the labels and description we’ll definitely know where they’re from. We also have locally produced stuff here but I don’t see us using our country’s name to call that product. Sorry for the rant.
i wish i had such positive experiences for these. i’d break out so much on my shoulders and back when i used these. I tried using it only once a week, once every other week, getting a new cloth each month but nada. I had so much breakouts, the second i stopped my skin went back to normal.
Turkish hamams have them too
