Thank you for your comment, once I give my sinks a good clean I prime them with "Valspar bonding primer" then I give that about 24 hours to dry and then I just do my epoxy work. Once the epoxy work yours I usually put a two-part water-based urethane top coat on it that adds scratch resistance a little bit more UV protection and just all around durability.
Absolutely Beautiful!! I would not change or do anything different!! I want to try doing my bathroom countertop for the first time but wanted to ask, what is my first step I need to take to prep the countertop?
Thank you for the comment. The first thing you're going to want to do is clean it very very well. Once you get it clean white the entire surface down with isopropyl alcohol. The rest is up to you my friend epoxy away.
Very nice. I would have left the white out and added just a bit of the gold along bottom right, and maybe a smidge mor purple throughtout. I think the white overwhelms the purple and gold. Have you ever done a sink where the bowl is different color or pattern and not just an overflow from the top?
Do you need a primer on sinks and tubs before doing the epoxy pour? I’ve seen different methods but some people put all of this work sanding and priming before hand. Thank you! Love your videos 😊
I did my sink somewhat similar - it was my first epoxy project. Mine was mostly greens, blacks, and purples, with a couple of other colors to tie them in. I knew that the pit would swallow the run off, though, so all my color veins were aimed at the drain hole, and I think it turned out well. Another thing I did different was that I spray-painted the sink to prime it and then coated it with clear. Then I poured stripes of colors and glitters and melded them into the clear. that way, the vertical parts still had a lot of color to begin with. I also cut off my backsplash and epoxied a board to make a replacement. Cutting off the backsplash was a pain, and I needed a special sawblade to do it, but after some bondo and sanding, the final result was good. I get turning it on its end, but I don't see how that would get the veins and colors to line up. You'd still need to pour the backsplash separately, right? That would be something I'd like to see. In any case, thanks for the video.
I would love to see some pictures of you sink. I always pour all of my sinks in 2 pours the main part of the sink being one pour and the backsplash being the second pour. I have some videos of this being done and it works out great for me. I would love to see some pictures of your project.
@liquidCreationsCo...........or to whomever might have seen one like this.....my backsplash on my cultured marble 90's sink is built into the rear 55" Length but a separate piece on the left against the wall.(22 deep (or wide)"). not sure how to pour since it's built in (all one-piece vanity & backsplash) and the 90 degree is sloped or contoured (rear backsplash). it's the yellow-ish colored cultured marble that was popular back in the late 90's, it's still in perfect condition, as most of them are. But it's got the built in soap ledges (in the sink itself), and the sink is molded like a clam shell so it could make it harder to get right when doing epoxy (unless you've seen one like it). But I love a challenge.
I am going to do kitchen countertops soon over ceramic tiles I have the thin set I have the quick level two questions actually #1- what primer is needed to go on old tiles to the thin set mortar #2- I’m also wanting to epoxy the countertop and double kitchen sink that’s made out of steel and porcelain finish is this possible epoxy the vaunted tops and sink all at same time same pour after removing all the hardware like the drain and disposal I didn’t know you can epoxy the sink is vertical part going to be a issue ? It’s going to be installed so I can’t tip. The counter and sink any input would be appreciated Thank you and your black sink is looking pretty good !😊
I’m so glad I found your channel!!! Do you have any advice for a bathroom sink & counter, but the sink is white porcelain? It looks like the sinks you do are all one piece of the same material.
Thank you so much. Yes I do it doesn't have to be all one piece you can pour it just the same. You can either remove the sink from the counter top pour your counter let it cure. Then pour your sink separately let it cure and install it. Or you could pour it all at one time without removing the sink and you should be good. Just make sure you remove the plumbing from the sink bowl. I hope this helps thanks again.
No there has been a couple of things that I've done that I've started with a white base. For some reason everybody wants a dark sink or darker colors I should say. But I do have a video coming up it's going to be a dirty pour on the table that's going to be lighter colors it's probably going to have a light to medium gray base.
Yes I recommend it it is a wonderful product. Make sure you seal your sink before the epoxy because the concrete is porous and it will seat air when you put the epoxy on it. If you choose to use this epoxy there's a link in the description below that has a 10% discount code with it. If you don't mind I would like to see some pictures of your sink when you get it completed.
I see the list of epoxy.. how do we know which to use for each project. I'm going to do my bathroom counter with built in sink and bsck splash in place

First and foremost thank you so much for your comment. I believe I have done the cultured marble sink I think I'll have to check. Thanks again for your words of encouragement.
Yes you can use artist oil paints just be mindful of how much you use. The reason being it will cause the epoxy to stay a little soft. If I am tenting my epoxy with oil based paint I don't use more than a tablespoon in 64 oz of epoxy.
We remodeled 30yrs ago and used similar sinks. They now need to be refinished and have Egg shell cracking around the drains. Do you have any prep suggestions or tips for repair
What you need to do is take you some 120 grit send the area really really good. Go to the hardware store get you some Bondo and use that to fix where you have your. It works really good I've used it several. Once you get that done clean it really well with acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Next you want to put a cup of coats of bonding on it then do your epoxy work hope this helps.
I love your work! So can I do this with my sink in my bathroom? Also will the Epoxy damage my drain and is there any solution for the drain? Thank you in advance!
Thank you I really appreciate your comment. Yes you can do this with your sink in your bathroom. You do need to unhook your drain hardware from up underneath the sink and put a bucket or something like that under the sink so the epoxy can run into. You do not want to leave your hardware that hooks up to your drain attached that will cause major problems. So make sure you want to hook it even the spout that goes through the sink that your drain hooks up to take that out it's very easy to do. I hope this helps good luck and please share pictures when you're done I would love to see them.
Very cool!! I have a question. Last year I put a marble looking contact paper on my bathroom vanity. Do I have to take all that off before I pour epoxy. I assume you do but hope you dont.
Well let's see yes and no I've come across the similar problem before and this is what I did. Keep in mind this sink was for someone else not mine personal sink. I used acetone and I wiped it down really really well to the point of it soaking the paper. Keep in mind it's going to have to sit on the paper for a little while in order to soak through it but what it does breaks down the glue under the paper. You will be able to get 99% of it all but you don't get off like that you're going to lightly sand the sink with 220 grit sandpaper. That will remove the rest I hope this helps good luck.
This is so awesome man ! You are an artist. Can this be done on an acrylic or fiberglass shower pan, guess design would be limited to keep acrylic from getting into plumbing. Also, how much prep work before application is needed ?
Thank you I appreciate that and yes it can be done on shower pans you can either build a tape damn around the drain or you can take some spray foam and spray right in the edge of the drain then do your epoxy work once it cures cut the foam out. But other than that really not too much prep work just make sure you clean it really well and lightly stuffing with 220 sandpaper.
Yes it was Rust-Oleum spray paint. What had happened the spray paint can was leaking so I took a quart mixing container and let the spray paint leak into that it all leaked out and then I put a lid on the container so it wouldn't dry out. And when you opened it and started because you can't shake it it would fizz up for some reason.
Thank you but I must tell you that that look that you say is bad. well that's the look everyone ask for and I have poured a ass load of sinks for a lot of people. but thank you for your comment.
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 I appreciate your feedback. You are right, I am only expressing my own opinion on that. But when I watch the Stone Coat or Leggari people doing sinks, they seem to agree with me, and they take steps to avoid the "vein down the sinkhole: effect. In any case, thanks for the video.
I would love to see some pictures of you sink. I always pour all of my sinks in 2 pours the main part of the sink being one pour and the backsplash being the second pour. I have some videos of this being done and it works out great for me. I would love to see some pictures of your project.
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 Sure thing. I sent you an email with pictures.
@@Wilphart sweet thank you I'm going to check them out when I get home.
I love it!! Can you use a blow dryer instead of a heat gun?
Enjoyed your video
Thank you I really do appreciate that.
I am going to do kitchen countertops soon over ceramic tiles I have the thin set I have the quick level two questions actually
#1- what primer is needed to go on old tiles to the thin set mortar
#2- I’m also wanting to epoxy the countertop and double kitchen sink that’s made out of steel and porcelain finish is this possible epoxy the vaunted tops and sink all at same time same pour after removing all the hardware like the drain and disposal I didn’t know you can epoxy the sink is vertical part going to be a issue ? It’s going to be installed so I can’t tip. The counter and sink any input would be appreciated Thank you and your black sink is looking pretty good !😊
I’m gonna attempt this
Which wisebond do you use? Tabletop?
Hello, amazing work.
How much resin is it takes? Thanks
Thank you, it takes about 4oz. per square foot.
that is so awesome!!!!!!
Thank you so much.
Yep, that helped. Thanks a bunch, Sir!
@@slphbanker you bet glad I could help.
Very nice! Btw do you have any videos on kitchen sinks? I have a black sink that needs some love.
Thank you, I think I still do a lot of my videos had to be taken down I will check if I do I will tag it to you
Do you always start with a black sink? I want to do a white/platinum/light gray combo.
No there has been a couple of things that I've done that I've started with a white base. For some reason everybody wants a dark sink or darker colors I should say. But I do have a video coming up it's going to be a dirty pour on the table that's going to be lighter colors it's probably going to have a light to medium gray base.
Great work
I'm doing my first sink to day
Hi Lovely Colors,It's beautiful.
Question how can I do this project without removing the sink and stopping it from going down the drain. Thanks 😊
you cant, drain must be removed
You are the best
God bless you for that ☺️ seriously thank you ❤️💯
I will be making a concrete vessel sink for my bathroom. I want to use epoxy with color. Do you recommend this product for concrete sinks?
Yes I recommend it it is a wonderful product. Make sure you seal your sink before the epoxy because the concrete is porous and it will seat air when you put the epoxy on it. If you choose to use this epoxy there's a link in the description below that has a 10% discount code with it. If you don't mind I would like to see some pictures of your sink when you get it completed.
I see the list of epoxy.. how do we know which to use for each project. I'm going to do my bathroom counter with built in sink and bsck splash in place
I recommend using the WiseBond epoxy so far it is far superior to any other epoxy I have used. I've bought so much of it over the past few years that they've given me a 10% discount code to all of my subscribers and viewers if you go through that link in the description of the videos you'll see that link with the discount code.
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 Can I get the Wise Bond at The Home depot store?
Can I also apply it to bedroom floors?
What kind of paint did you use as an accent color?
@@christineparker1724 No you cannot get WiseBond at home Depot. You can only get it online and if you go through that link that I provide you will get a 10% discount if you use that code that I give you.
Incredible work sir!! I love the colors!! How long does it take to dry/ cure before you can put sink back together and use??
Thank you I appreciate that comment. It will cure in 3 days to 100% I put it back in use on the 7th day. With no problems but it also depends on what epoxy you are using.
have you done a cultured marble 90's style bathroom vanity top (1 sink)? (55" x 22" with rear backsplash all one piece and option left backsplash which is a separate piece siliconed in)....... if so link me up & I'm SUBSCRIBED ! .... fantastic stuff. I think I'd like to do this. You will grow, just keep it up!!!
First and foremost thank you so much for your comment. I believe I have done the cultured marble sink I think I'll have to check. Thanks again for your words of encouragement.
Nice work sir I have a question..
This is amazing 😍
Thank you so much .
Do you do any sinks that are mounted in place
I have one that I'm going to mock-up so I can show how I would pour one in place.
Can u use also artist oil paints?
Yes you can use artist oil paints just be mindful of how much you use. The reason being it will cause the epoxy to stay a little soft. If I am tenting my epoxy with oil based paint I don't use more than a tablespoon in 64 oz of epoxy.
Pretty !!!!!
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 will do thanks again!
Is the colors on the back splash?
Yes the backsplash is done and matches the top I had footage of it unfortunately the SIM card is MIA.
Did you say the purple was paint? if so what kind? You mentioned something about it fizzing up.
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 awesome. Thanks
@@brianpruitt1015 you are very welcome👍
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 oil based based paint?
What about the backslash?
I see all of your sinks are not attached, is there a way to do it on a sink that's already attached?
yes but you will have to go about it a little different.
Your going to have to pre-color your sink before you pour your clear epoxy over top of it.
How do you epoxy a sink without taking the sink out or can you epoxy a sink with out taking it out?
Yes you can it's just going to be a lot harder to get the backsplash to match the rest of the sink but it can be done.
Can you or would you show a demonstration I will be doing this by myself?@@LiquidCreationsCo2609
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 Thank you for your quick response

can i please get your email im doing this on my own and you are the only person that explains and do everything perfect
Thank you I really appreciate that. I provided you with my email and your other comment.
It's good for what it is, but the veins draining down the sink looks bad
Thank you but I must tell you that that look that you say is bad. well that's the look everyone ask for and I have poured a ass load of sinks for a lot of people. but thank you for your comment.
@@LiquidCreationsCo2609 I appreciate your feedback. You are right, I am only expressing my own opinion on that. But when I watch the Stone Coat or Leggari people doing sinks, they seem to agree with me, and they take steps to avoid the "vein down the sinkhole: effect.
In the end, yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That disagreement aside, you do good work!
Sorry I say I think you just ruined it with the white. The black and purple together was great.
