When the GFR increases naturally the filtered load of solutes increase, causing a rise in the sodium chloride in macula densa.. triggering the TGF. Pls visit one touch pharmacology too :)
Could you explain why sodium chloride delivery to the macula densa increases with increasing GFR? Is it because the high flow rate doesn't “allow” the diluting segment (TAL) to absorb as much as NaCl as with lower flow rates?
The thick ascending limb is a part of the distal straight tubule; it becomes DCT after leaving the macula densa. Feel free to correct me but that's what we were taught.
You are correct. The macula densa are specialized cells of the tick ascending limb. Refer to Medical Physiology text book by Walter Boron and Emile Boulpaep. Both are experts in the kidney. Also, the cells of the macula densa express the NKCC2 Transporter, which is expressed in the thick ascending limb. It’s generally thought that the distal convoluted tubule starts after the macula densa.
Top notch animations thank you!
Thank you so much, Dr. Miller

Woa, i can't image that is so easy to learn which your animation. So thank for you. Vote for your channel. Love from VietNam
Thanks a lot Doc!
very good explanation. Thank you
Thanks.

Yeah! Absolutely perfect! Thank you
Macula densa cells line the distal convoluted tubule and not the thick ascending limb😊
No
yes it's DCT

Love your videos!!! they're so helpful!!
love your videos, they have been great for revising my physiology for exams. Just wondering what program you use to create the graphics?
Thank you so much! I finally understand this :)
Thank so much for this 💗💖
is this the same as RAAS??

You are great!
Sir thank you so much!!!!
That was really helpful!
so in this case then Na is eliminate more in the orine, and also H2O? becouse decrease the reabsorcion of them?
thank you very much!
