Litterally learnt this today as a first year medic doing some studying on a Saturday (ugh) but thank you so much mate! Really helped me! Notifs on so i get when u post (why im so early) lol.
Thank you for an awesome video. Question- if one were to use creatinine levels in urine to calculate the eGFR, can this be done with a single urine sample? Or do you need to collect urine over 24 hr period like with Inulin? (I ask because most urine tests ordered by doctors are a single urine event. How can a patient calculate eGFR from a single urine sample?)
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis I have a friend who lives in another country and he suffers from diabetes. He promised me to buy diabetes lectures, and I am waiting for his presence so that we can buy them for him and learn about a suitable treatment for him through the lecture.

❤
The answer is 50? Inulin clearance = GFR = PV = Uv x Uc / Pc = 10ml/min (converted from 600ml/hr) x 100mg/dl / 20mg/dl = 50 ml/min
Ain't inulin per ml in urine 5 times higher than that was in plasma hmmm
Correct.
Excellent video. Very well explained.
Glad it was helpful!
A very big thank you , thank you .
You are welcome!
Can you please keep posting the rest of the neurology lectures ? We starting neuro tomorrow 😁
More neuro is coming!

is creatine monohydrate powder at 3.5 grams a day harmful to healthy adult male or female kidneys?
If a bodybuilder on creatine supplements has a eGFR of 56 and a cystatin C GFR of 112 is there anything to worry about?
Can training induced low heart rates affect eGFR? Google can't understand a simple question.
( 12:55 ) you said INSULIN instead of INULIN .
Best Regards,
