i did it differently. i only used chia seeds and i slow stewed it until the water got thick. no exact measurements necessary. the result was a little thicker than yours. i also didn't use aloe. it worked well.

Try pushing it though the sieve with the back of a spoon one spoonfull at a time don't fill its a jell not a juice it wont drip it needs to be pushed through. like using a food mill making apple SAUCE to remove and seeds/skin.

Mine was very thick and it had my hair moisturized with hold. I also applied it on clean hair. My hair felt stronger after several uses which may have been due to the botanical protein. I love it and keep it in my rotation.

Question, instead of struggling with the banana clip, have you tried the puff cuff? It is so much easier. The gel worked out very nicely for you. Love the high bun.

Oooo no I haven't tried the puff cuff. With all this hair I might need to pick one up. Thanks for the suggestion!

You put too much seeds and should have let il boil with the water to get the most out of it.

Thank you! I find your video looking for a way to separate the gel from the seeds and your technique is great! I actually use the gel as my hair conditioner, with a little rosemary essential oil and coconut oil. Your voice is super sweet and calm! Kisses from Brazil!

THE GOSPEL: We are all sinners and it is impossible for us to save ourselves. Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again the third day. He died for ALL your sins, past, present, future. Put your faith in Him as your Savior and you are saved and going to heaven forever. Only faith alone in Christ alone will save you, ZERO human effort or works. Once saved, always saved.
      Do you believe the gospel?
      Yes. No.

I made chia gel, and it was difficult to strain and very little to no gel. I get better results and more with flaxseed. Maybe, I did something wrong with the chia mixture.

I had zero luck trying to strain, blend or crush the chia seeds in water. It really was a god awful experience. Boiling only led to a really water gel.

    • @TheLightShines
      @TheLightShines 3 роки тому +4

I figured it out! I let the chia seeds soak in a lot of water until it's a slimy consistency (not super thick). Then I fill half my blender with the jelled chia seeds and the other half with water, blend that until the seeds are crushed smaller and the mixture is a cream color. It's liquid enough to strain in a pantyhose, it comes out in a milky gel, snot like consistency.
I made a ton of gel because I was not expecting I had to blend it and made too much, but I stored the rest in the freezer.
I mixed some of it with Tulsi powder and some hair oil I'm trying to get rid of. I'm gonna use it as a pre shampoo treatment. I'll update to post results.
Update: Made my hair super silky soft after rinsing it out.

@@TheLightShines That’s exactly what I did! Just made some for the first time today and trying to strain the chia was a b!€ch and a half! Whew.
So I threw it in my blender added more water and blended on low. I strained that very easily through a hose and then blended what I strained on high until the residue was liquified.
It was thicker with a creamer color. Worked wonders on my daughter’s hair!

Thanks for the video. Did you use all you made or did you store the reminding gel? If you stored it, how? When making the flaxseed gel it has to be stored in the refrigerator. This causes me to forget about the gel. LOL
