Bob Marley’s Son was a BEAST at Miami; All-Conference Linebacker

- Bob Marley’s son, Rohan, was an all-conference linebacker at the University of Miami alongside NFL Hall of Famers Ray Lewis, Warren Sapp and entertainment icon Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Rohan earned a championship ring with the Canes during the 1991 season, and he even led the team in tackles in 1993. Standing only 5’8”, he was undersized for an NFL linebacker, so following his college career, he played one season in the CFL before delving into the world of business.

To get tackled by Rohan Marley, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and Ray Lewis in one game!!! Bro life is crazy and you never know who you’ll meet or get tackled by 🤣
This is great. I had no idea that any of Bob Marley's children played sports.
Ziggy plays a lot of soccer
You dont watch sports then...
@@valjeanlee7060 that's a pretty braindead thing to say. Only Rohan played played sports at a collegiate/professional level.
@@russg9371 actually it was pretty accurate...if you are an avid sports watcher, you know he played...
@@valjeanlee7060actually I was young at the time he played and didn't share interest into football and it's players until 13-14 yrs old. I remembered when Ray Lewis and Sapp got drafted, but never heard of Rohan. So this is news to me 🤷🏾
A true Jamaican: no matter what the adversity or situation dig deep and keep moving forward. 🇯🇲
It's called being an accountable adult. It's not just Jamaicans.
WHAT A TEAM that Miami team was
Warren Sapp and Ray Lewis on the same Team Is A Scary Sight!!!!😅😅😅
U ain't lying.. then years after they had Vince wilfork, Jonathan Vilma, D.J Williams, Phillip Buchanan and Ed Reed 👀
Miami is NFL PRO BOWL University
The Rock was also on this team
@@whayes8084 the video said he was the backup for warren Sapp
Everybody has a different path in life, it's good that he (Rohan) found his passion and pursued it. RIP Bob Marley.
Dude he was good. He was fast as hell and was all over the field. If he were a little bigger,he would've played in the NFL for awhile
Yeah and back then they were very rigid about positions. Now and days someone athletic but undersized like that would have been given a chance to be a safety or a hybrid linebacker/safety.
@@BakiSmaki27 good point. Especially on defense,if you didn't look the part you couldn't get a chance to perform. Now GMs have wised up some.
I remember when Rohan was a BEAST at linebacker!!
His nephew's a linebacker at Georgia his name is Chris Cole five star freshman from Salem Virginia
@@Natas-the-Great I will be watching for him, thanks!
Bob Marley has some amazing genetics! Rohan is a straight beast! Let’s not forget his other son YG Marley who’s also the son of Lauren Hill. He’s got one of the dopest reggae remix’s out; “Moonlight!” 🙏🏾🫡👌🏾
*The whole family talented 🇯🇲*
The rock was on that team
"Hail to thee Palmetto High!" He is a graduate of my high school and gave us our pregame speech before we took on our rival, Killian High. "Hit, stick, and bust..."
Rojan was the best player on that defense. He was polamalu before polamalu
Ray lewis was the Best on that team 🏈🏈
He was all over the field
Warren Sapp was the best on that team
Imagine people asking you ! Who’s your dad and you say bob marley and people laugh at you like you’re crazy
He went to American High
I don't think anybody laughed at him...
Have you never met anyone famous in your entire life?
The man looks like a splitting image of his father. If you know genetics, you wouldn't even have to question him at all.
aka Lauren hill’s baby daddy
Thanks for this!
@@mr.mcneill7306 Glad you enjoyed the story!
I wonder how often he was drug tested…
😂😂
ROHAN i remember him hitting a guy so hard the dudes helmet flew off! ROHAN was 1 of the hardest hitting linebackers!
The NFL definitely could have moved him from LB to Safety. He was a sure tackler, flew to the ball, and made those pads talk once he got to the ball carrier. GM's dropped the ball big time.🗣🗣🗣
Almost willing to bet, him not being drafted had more to do with who his pops was and what he stood for vs Rohan's production on the field. 💯💯💯
Rohan & Lauren’s son have a chart-topping song out right now too! Praise Jah in the moonlight YG Marley ✌️🏾💪🏾
Being a Ravens 🐦⬛ fan Bob Marley fan and Miami hurricanes 🌀 fan I love this story !!!
What a story.
Love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's good he realized football wasn't going to be his life and moved onto something else more full filling
I actually went to boarding school with Makeda Marley. I miss her goofy self. 🤔🤣
What is the bigger flex
Warren Saap saying that he started in front of WWE HOF, MEGASTAR, and owner of the XFL
Or The Rock saying as a college football backup he went to become WWE HOF, MEGASTAR, and owner of the XFL\
I think Rock has bigger flex
It's 4am and time to get off the shitter. Dam Marley would knock your head off. So much for One Love, One Life
Yes indeed Rohan was a beast 💪, Canes forever. 😊
Now his nephew plays for Georgia he was a five-star linebacker from Salem Virginia Chris Cole
a beautiful story.
He’s a great business man now
To be that size at LB and start amongst blue chip recruits was incredible. And to think the Canes had the ridiculous Bermuda Triangle LB's at the time with Michael Barrow, Darren Smith and Jessie Armstead when he first came in was insane.
THE ✋🏾🤚🏾BABY!
😳🥴 brotha man endured hating..thats what ‼️‼️‼️
I remember watching Rohan he was amazing. The guy should be a NFL HOF. Instead he went in to destroy one of our best female artists of all time Lauren Hill.
Please don't say "Rastafarian-ISM" Very disrespectful to the culture and people who practice this faith!
@@michaeljones3604 I apologize! That was not my intent at all, I took it directly from an interview with Rohan. I’ll see if I can edit that out, thanks for letting me know!
It's rastafari
Shut it nerd, no one's offended
@@get.set_sports No problem, I appreciate that. Besides this, I think it is a wonderful piece on Rohan Marley! I'm not a Rasta myself but I do have a few family members who practice this faith. Generally, this term is frowned upon in the community. ✌🏼🙏🏼💯
Rohan was menance. Ray Lewis , Antwan Russell and Rohan was a serious LB crew
GOTDAMN,that was beautiful!
He could of been a full back or running back
I never put 2 & 2 together 😂😂
Oh. Thats how he got round ms Lauryn
Interesting story!
Rohan always flashed on the field.
Good stuff, i had no idea.
Baller
If my memory serves me correct, he was not a linebacker. He was a safety.
No he was really LB that played at the edge of the hash but his ball instincts was off the charts..The little Brother bought the "Bang when he supported the run to the weak and strong side and if need be had no problems of getting up in the A-gap if that was involved in the play.
#TheU
🤯
he was OK he wasn't all that
He was good, he wasn't a beast LMAO
he was though. Dude used to flash. He stood out.
@@bigchee8263 I was there. We're not doing this. He maxed his ability. Not a beast.
I had no idea
🔥🔥🔥
Never knew 🤯
Because your young .. those old school U fans in our 40s and 50s .. we already knew
