Absolutely. There's a video that compares the different engine sounds (V8 vs V10 vs V12) in Ferrari F1 cars I think and they were absolutely glorious!
This is the perfect addition to the driver61 content, getting out on a track and doing cool shit with cool cars!
Making an F1 car do a drag race is like making a gymnast do the shot put. Makes zero sense. It’s not “the ultimate competitor”.
All this accomplishes is the reinforcement that all evs are good for is the one pony trick of straight line acceleration. No one takes them to the track because it would be an utter embarrassment.
Also, note that the guy driving the tesla said he was terrified and excited because of the F1 car.
Sound matters folks.
My 10 year old self in the 80s is watching this with his mouth open. Can’t believe a family luxury car can even compete with an F1 car
@Uncle Gilbert and the weekly shop at Tesco’s would leave the F1 car for dead:)

"Brought the ULTIMATE COMPETITOR" to a drag race, a F1 car! WTF = NOOB? Ultimate would be TF that runs 4 sec quarter mile times (yea, from them blowing up at 1000 feet do to gearing limitations, trying to slow the 330mph speeds), they now run 1000 foot in 3.8 sec, with 11,000hp, or more HP per cylinder than either F1 or tesla makes total. Please dont become a Homer Donut Media channel for goofballs.
the plaid beats the f1 in the quarter, 9.2 to 9.6. the roadster coming out in 22 will be an 8 sec car in the quarter.
Are any of these tests being performed with the F1 car's tires and brakes at optimal temperatures? If not, the performance will be significantly affected...
they're obviously not and you're very right.
You have to do the same with the Tesla Model S Plaid to make it do anywhere near it’s claimed times and it takes over an hour to heat up to the optimal temperature. F1 cars do a lot faster.
This is probably done in the wintertime too :-)
THANK YOU! There's one who mentioned it. The F1 car would destroy anything in such a case.

Yep an there are modded teslas that will smoke the fastest f1 cars out there even to top end.
Don't forget it's a 90's f1 car vs a 2020 car and the f1 car has a Rev limiter so it's pretty crippled performance wise. (the Rev limiter is for conservation purposes btw)

Unfortunately this isn't the Plaid 😔
A modern f1 8.0 s easy
You are wrong
Even a plaid with 50% SOC hits 60mph in 2.17(2.38seconds with rollout substracted) and sprints the 1/4mi in 9.5seconds on the *streets* so a little better 9.49seconds on a prepped surface.
