Nice Key and Expensive feature that most people ignore after a while. Like a car Refrigerator. A Dash Panel Display, is cheaper, lighter and more efficient than a heavy HUD with compromised HMI.

I am consistently impressed by Weilai's products, extensive capabilities, and unwavering focus on user experience; thus, I don't share the anti-climax sentiment for the Onvo L60. While I acknowledge Tesla's achievements, the company isn't a benchmark for Weilai. When Southwest Airlines endeavored to improve its turnaround time, it turned to the race car industry rather than top competitors for benchmarking. Similarly, Li Bin and Lihong Qin are less focused on Tesla and the shenanigans of Elon Musk as they are dedicated to pursuing their vision driven by superior user experience.

Its 3% more efficient than a 5+yr old design 400v model Y. The upcoming juniper model Y will beat this easily in the spring of 2025. Just like the highland m3 spanks all others in real world driving efficiency. I bet in an option for option, spec for spec, perf vs perf, range vs range and charging per mile recovered per minute comparison this isn't any better than the current Y. Congrats to nio and team onvo for making this though! We need MORE competition to drive prices down&innovation up.👍🏻
OMG, a car with a wheel that extend out a good distance, just great! Over the past couple of weeks, I have been checking out some electric cars and the Chinese brands steering wheel didn't come out far enough. Polestar 4, BYD Seal, GWM Ora 7, all were lacking. The BMW iX cars were much better but, they lacked in rear and cargo space. Looked into Telsa a few years back too many build quality issues and a lock of features, ended up getting the Audi e-tron, was more comfortable and quiet on the road, the ride was comfortable, with good power. This car looks good, don't like not having an instrument cluster but, they have a heads up display, so that's good. I like this color interior, tired of the Black and Beige (White for Tesla) interior trim, I could do a light Grey. Great review!
The real difference is by: 1) swap battery 👈- Nio reigns supreme as better car for everyday use, as Tesla lacks this killer feature. 2) resale value 👈- again, Nio has no competition as Tesla's battery cannot swap and this is super-expensive special service at Tesla. 3) range 👈- both car have decent range but Nio has killer feature - an access to better batteries in the future - thanks to swap battery! 4) onboard system features 👈- there is draw: Tesla has Full Self-Driving and proven on-air update, Nio Onvo has great HUD and great AutoParking. (Side note: I would appreciate the review to include details of onboard system) In the end - the winner is Nio Onvo L60.😊

Reason why Zeekr/Xiaomi have not beaten M3 is bcos they have not ramped up production sufficiently to overtake M3. I think SU7 will do it in next year or 2. Not sure about Zeekr. There are others like XPeng Mona M03 and many other options as well.
XPeng Mona M03 isn’t a Model 3 competitor. We’ll see what happens with Xiaomi SU7. Pity that Xiaomi was outselling XPeng quite a few times while only selling a single model. Hopefully Mona M03 sees long term sales success, for XPeng’s sake.

Over here in Europe, people prefer European brands (made in Europe) over Elon Musk-made and Chinese-made cars. In practice they often buy a Tesla, simply because it's better (you can always park your car around the corner). All other things equal, many people would prefer buying a Chinese car, if only because they don't support the Musk/Trump political agenda. So it's not because of the popularity of Elon Musk that causes people to buy Tesla's. Now there are better Chinese cars, so things might change. But those cars have yet to prove themselves. Since cars are the second most expensive purchase for most households, and most people don't have a strong appetite for risk when it comes to major purchases, those brands will have to prove themselves first. That will take some time.
Because it looks better, is nicer inside, is more refined, charges faster, costs less than Model Y, has nothing to do with Elon musk and his politics...tell me when to stop.

The reason why the fan speed is always on is because they are using a "higher" vent temperature trick. Like Xpeng. Meaning they run the HVAC hotter to conserve energy (less compressor power etc), and run the fan longer, hoping that this will compensate for the cabin temperature differential. This never really works, especially for a car with so much glass, and as Sean correctly pointed out, the interior noise comfort is compromised. But they need to show better Tesla Y numbers somehow right ? So if we actually compare apples to apples :
- Better Aero - Lower Reference Area (smaller interior) - Lower Parasitic losses due to 900V architecture - Smaller Tyres (Less Comfort or Driving Performance) - No frunk (less storage - weight) - Cheating on the HVAC But same output efficiency as Model Y. So in reality the Model Y Architecture still has a better specific efficiency. Meaning with improvement in Drag, and change to 900V (already announced and upcoming in the next Tesla release) the Model Y would still be more efficient (in absolute) than this thing.

Looks like that might be the case. The ease in which they just popped out of nowhere with a car like this also means legacy ICE auto is already finished.
Pity it's full features are only available for Chinese speaking. Maybe it doesn't make sense, but like Nio, the software it's NOT completely multilingual. English it's not fully available in China. The mobile app only works in Chinese and voice commands ONLY works in Chinese even if you are running Banyan in English in the car.
What would happen if next year Fsd start working China? A Tesla model 3 or y is not only a ev. It a smart car . Can Nio or xpeng spend that much on Ai as Tesla as Tesla.

Pity it's full features are only available for Chinese speaking. Maybe it doesn't make sense, but like Nio, the software it's NOT completely multilingual. English it's not fully available in China. The mobile app only works in Chinese and voice commands ONLY works in Chinese even if you are running Banyan in English in the car.

FSD looks impossible in China. You could see if you drove in China like me. Chinese people are uncivilized when it comes to driving as well as many other things. So FSD is best in the US but in China..lol
