    I am so sorry. For some reason the subtitles that are in my video, during the small parts Japanese is spoken, did not export (and don't show up in the video itself). I translated those parts in UA-cam's captions, so you will need to turn on the "CC" to understand the Japanese. So the corrected English subtitles and translations are up.
    Here is the link for the "shorts" videos of some of the vendors at TIPS: ua-cam.com/play/PLY0zOX4Za7UZf57CXBZkZ4JIVdGe0-eA5.html
    I have three up now and will be putting up about 20 more in the next few days, so check back!

If I could volunteer, you couldn't keep me away! The volunteers look like they were in bliss. Thanks for such a heartwarming video!!!! :sigh:

    I am in the wrong country, I have loved paper ever since I ran into my grandmothers Onion Paper. Japan has the best paper, compared to ours here in America. Alot of people don't care two hoots about paper here. I have always just took what was given to me when growing up. Until my older years.
    Now that we have the internet that we can acquire these wonderful papers and Fountain Pens, my checking account is sinking..LOL!!!
    I am going to my first Pen Show this month in Dallas,Tx , I am excited about it. It is nothing on the Grandeur scale as what you get to experience. Do you know if someone traveling internationally to come to TIPS can volunteer? That would be so fun!

      I don't know, but they are real planners and the volunteers go to meetings starting in July. I did them on zoom as I was out of the country. It IS fun!

    Are you into Sumo at all? My wife and I have been to Japan once, we stayed in three different city's. A completely different culture, and for the better, in our opinion.

      I used to really be into it and followed several players. Originally watched to help with my Japanese and reading Kanji and then just really enjoyed it. But then UA-cam kind of took over my free time.

    Do you know if there is any way to get a subscription to that magazine when living in the USA?

    • @InkyRocks
      @InkyRocks  Рік тому

      Someone told me they got a subscription and I can’t remember how. I would try contacting Kinokuniya. There is a store in New York and they may get you one or tell you how to go about it.

    Can you volunteer if you only speak little Japanese? I'm planning a month long trip from mid-October to mid-November and in case I can't snag a regular ticket I was considering volunteering. Especially since you showed how much fun it could be!

    • @InkyRocks
      @InkyRocks  Рік тому +1

      I just came back from a volunteer meeting and with the amount of tickets they are selling, it should not be a problem getting a ticket. The Covid rules are letting up here so they will be able to sell more and this years show will be 2 floors! If you decide to volunteer, you would need to attend meetings (can be done by zoom). If you want to look into it, email me on the email listed in my bio (you have to click the button)

    If I want to go to pen show in Tokyo is it easy to buy tickets ? For 2023

    • @InkyRocks
      @InkyRocks  Рік тому +1

      Actually this year should be easier. They had a few hiccups last year and worked them out. The best way to keep up with them is to either follow their IG or check on it every once in awhile. They haven’t announced this years procedure or ticket limits (or even if they will have limits-it depends on the Japanese government)
