I love the video so much! Happy New Year! I am planning to visit Japan someday. But - First I am working on a huge stationary budget, lol! This pen is beautiful. 😍❤🖊
Thanks for the tour! I'm not into stickers either, but I'll admit that it's fun to discover that you actually like something you didn't expect! The "book memo" is actually a useful concept. I often use sticky notes for book marks but this would be better. Somehow, I imagine Japan's stationary stores to have a wonderful / natural fragrance -- a combination of wooden shelves, paper and card stock, leather journal covers, ink, new fountain pen resin and, maybe, a pot of tea brewing somewhere in the back. A resident "mouser" cat would be a significant plus too! I have no idea how real that expectation is though. Older (pre-owned book) bookstores often have an old, comfortable, fragrance that makes me want to linger and browse. We frequently lunched in a small "shotgun" style Delicatessen like that with "comfy" chairs for those who wanted to linger and read, but our visits were necessarily brief to get back to the office. Cold snowy days were the best! Thank you for all your videos and I hope you have a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year with many more videos to come!
Thank you so much! I totally get that bookstore vibe. An interesting area that I may do a vid on is the Kanda and Jimbocho area. They have a lot of old bookstores and you can get Ukio-e Japanese prints there for cheap. Have a wonderful 2024!💞
@@InkyRocks I looked up the Kanda and Jimbocho areas ... and Ukio-e art. I'm less than a new-born novice. In my younger days, I could get happily lost places like that and never return. Now, I mostly "remember those days" of getting lost in old books! :D I think that's one of the main reasons I enjoy your posts as i do -- there is an unexpected connection between old books, fountain pens and ink. i still have an obsession with "starter" or what i call, "pencil case" fountain pens. it started when i was in second grade and never left me. i adore, collect and use any and all vintage plastic fp's from the 80's. Those Sizzle Stix🔥 There's no hope for me. lol
That’s actually pretty cool. I think we get so wrapped up in special editions and what -not, but simple easy to use pens are really the best. That is why I consider the Kakuno my GOAT.
Happy New Year! Corrected English subtitles and translations are up!

Get a friend that’s a google maps expert 😅 wonderful camerawork and storytelling Alesa Happy New Year 🎉
Seriously! Thanks so much. Take care of yourself 💕and Happy New Year 🥰
When I visit Japan, I'm going to take an empty suitcase with me! LOL
Very wise!
i still have an obsession with "starter" or what i call, "pencil case" fountain pens. it started when i was in second grade and never left me. i adore, collect and use any and all vintage plastic fp's from the 80's. Those Sizzle Stix🔥 There's no hope for me. lol
That’s actually pretty cool. I think we get so wrapped up in special editions and what -not, but simple easy to use pens are really the best. That is why I consider the Kakuno my GOAT.
@@InkyRocks Yes! The Kakuno is a real contender for The Pencil Case. 👑
I love your videos 💛
Thank you so much!!💖
